The Gate of la Latina (Spanish: Puerta de la Latina) is a gate located in Madrid, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1984.

The Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid (Spanish: Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, ETSAM) is the school of architecture of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Spain. It trains future architects and grants the title of Architect, as well as doctorates and various master's degrees. The center is located on the Avenida Juan de Herrera, 4, within the University City of Madrid. The present building has been used since 1936. It has an extensive library, which includes original works of Le Corbusier, Serlio and Andrés de Vandelvira, the recent architecture journals, and influential books on modern architecture. This school is considered by many industry professionals to be the best in Spain, and one of the best worldwide.

The headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Institute of Spain (Spanish: Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España) are located in Madrid, Spain. They were declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 2001.Building was projected in 1967 by architects Fernando Higueras and Antonio Miró Valverde, and built from 1967 to 1970.

Simón Bolívar or the Monument to Simón Bolívar is an instance of public art located in Madrid, Spain. Dedicated to Simón Bolívar "el Libertador", key figure in the emancipation of several Latin American nations, it consists of a bronze equestrian statue put on a stone pedestal.

The 2013 Women's Qualification Tournament was the 18th annual rugby tournament organised by FIRA for the continent's national teams and also a qualification tournament for 2014 Women's Rugby World Cup. Six teams took part - the fifth and sixth ranked teams from the Six Nations, based on 2012 and 2013 results, Italy and Scotland; the finalist from the 2012 European Championship, Spain (the winner, England, being already qualified); the two finalists from 2012 European Group B, Sweden and the Netherlands; and Oceania's entrant Samoa, who were disputing a qualification place from one of the European teams. The trophy was won by Spain, with Samoa in second place. These two teams qualified for the World Cup the following year in France. The Spanish won their qualification on the final day by beating Italy, who had been leading the provisional rankings, by a score of 38–7.

The Estadio Nacional Complutense (or Complutense National Stadium in English), is a rugby union stadium in the Spanish capital Madrid and located on the main campus of the Complutense University of Madrid. The stadium is commonly used by the Spanish national rugby union team who competes in the European Nations Cup. It is also home to Olympus Rugby XV Madrid, CD Arquitectura and CR Cisneros.

The Casa de Velázquez is a French school in Spain modelled on the Villa Médicis in Rome, and Villa Abd-el-Tif in Algeria. Like the Prix de Rome bursary for residence at the Villa Médicis and the defunct Prix Abd-el-Tif bursary for residence at the Villa Abd-el-Tif, bursaries are awarded. The idea for a similar villa in Spain was raised in 1916 by the composer Charles-Marie Widor who at the time was secretary of the Académie des Beaux-Arts of the Institut de France. The idea met with support of Alfonso XIII who himself selected a site in Madrid which was ceded to France. The Foundation was legally founded in 1920, adapted by the architect Léon Chifflot, and opened for the first French artists in 1929. The villa was further enlarged by architect Camille Lefèvre (1876-1946) up to 1935. It was built in a Spanish Golden Age revival style, with a clear inspiration from the works of architect Juan de Herrera. In November 1936, during the Civil War, the building was bombed and severely damaged due to its location on the frontline in the siege of Madrid. It was rebuilt in a simpler style in 1959, losing its characteristic Herrerian slate-covered towers.

The Museum of Garment - Ethnologic Heritage Research Center (Spanish: Museo del Traje - Centro de Investigación del Patrimonio Etnológico) is a museum located in Madrid, Spain, with collections devoted to fashion and costumes. The museum has over 160,000 pieces and documents. The current building was completed in 1973. Collections date from the Middle Ages up to clothes by Spain's contemporary fashion designers. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1962.

The Teleférico de Madrid, or Madrid Cable Car, is a gondola lift in the Spanish capital city of Madrid. It is 2,457 metres (8,061 ft) long and links the Parque del Oeste with the Casa de Campo. The line was built by Von Roll and opened in 1969. It uses 72 six-seater cabins, which take 11 minutes to travel the full length of the line.

The Palace of Moncloa or Moncloa Palace (Spanish: Palacio de la Moncloa) is the official residence and workplace of the Prime Minister of Spain. It is located in Puerta de Hierro Avenue, in the Moncloa-Aravaca district in Madrid. It has been the official residence of the Prime Minister since 1977, when Adolfo Suárez moved the residence from the Palace of Villamejor. The Moncloa Complex includes 16 buildings, a bunker and a hospital. The Ministry of the Presidency, the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, the Cabinet Office, the Chief of Staff's Office and the Press Office are located in this complex. The weekly meetings of the Council of Ministers are also held at La Moncloa. In Spain 'Moncloa' is sometimes used as a metonym for the central government, especially when contrasting with the governments of the Autonomous Communities.

The Monument to Concepción Arenal is an instance of public art in Madrid, Spain. Located at the Parque del Oeste, it is dedicated to Concepción Arenal, 19th-century standout jurist and precursor of feminism.

Memorial to the International Brigades is a memorial structure, located in the campus of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, dedicated to the members of the International Brigade who fought in the Spanish Civil War. Erected on 22 October 2011, the monument has been vandalised, and in 2013 the Supreme Court in Madrid upheld a complaint that the monument was a violation of local planning regulations and should be removed. The University replied by insisting that the local government had not acknowledged the application that they had made.
