75th Avenue station

The Church-in-the-Gardens, also known as Community Congregational Christian Church, is a historic Congregational church complex located in Forest Hills, Queens, New York. The complex includes the church (1915), Community House (1926), and Parish Hall (1953) connected by breezeways and a separate parsonage (1929). The buildings are all in an eclectic Tudor Revival style. The church was designed by architect Grosvenor Atterbury and is a rectangular building with a prominent tower and attached bell tower.: 3  The congregation joined the United Church of Christ in May 2012.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

The Kew-Forest School is an independent, co-ed, college preparatory school for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 12. The school was established in 1918 primarily for residents of Forest Hills and Kew Gardens, Queens, New York.

The Forest Hills–71st Avenue station (previously known as 71st–Continental Avenues station) is an express station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway, located on Queens Boulevard at 71st (Continental) Avenue in Forest Hills, Queens. It is served by the E and F trains at all times, the train during rush hours in the reverse peak direction, the R train at all times except late nights, and the M train on weekdays except late nights. It serves as the terminus for the latter two services.

Forest Hills is a station on the Long Island Rail Road's Main Line in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Queens, New York City. It is lightly used compared to other stations in the city, with only 1,967 weekday riders; many residents opt for the subway because of its increased service and direct express trains to Midtown Manhattan. The station is wheelchair accessible.

Forest Hills is a mostly residential neighborhood in the central portion of the borough of Queens in New York City. It is adjacent to Corona to the north, Rego Park and Glendale to the west, Forest Park to the south, Kew Gardens to the southeast, and Flushing Meadows–Corona Park to the east.The area was originally referred to as "Whitepot". The current name comes from the Cord Meyer Development Company, which bought 660 acres (270 ha) in central Queens in 1906 and renamed it after Forest Park. Further development came in the 1920s and 1930s with the widening of Queens Boulevard through the neighborhood, as well as the opening of the New York City Subway's Queens Boulevard Line. Forest Hills has a longstanding association with tennis: the Forest Hills Stadium hosted the U.S. Open until 1978 and the West Side Tennis Club offers grass courts for its members. The area's main commercial street, Austin Street, contains many restaurants and chain stores. Forest Hills is located in Queens Community District 6 and its ZIP Code is 11375. It is patrolled by the New York City Police Department's 112th Precinct. Politically, Forest Hills is represented by the New York City Council's 29th District.

The Kew Gardens–Union Turnpike station (signed as Union Turnpike–Kew Gardens station on overhead and entrance signs) is an express station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Union Turnpike and Queens Boulevard on the border of Kew Gardens and Forest Hills, Queens, it is served by the E and F trains at all times, and the train during rush hours in the reverse peak direction. Despite the station's name, Union Turnpike forms the border between Kew Gardens and Forest Hills, and the station straddles that border, with multiple entrances located in each neighborhood.The station opened on December 31, 1936 as the new terminal for the Independent Subway System's Queens Boulevard Line. The opening of the station brought significant growth to the adjacent communities of Forest Hills and Kew Gardens, transforming them from quiet residential communities to active population centers. The station became compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 in 2008 with the installation of three elevators and a ramp. Today, the station serves as a major transfer point between the subway and local buses. Bus service to eastern Queens or southern-central Queens is provided by the Q46, and the Q10 and Q37, respectively.

St. Luke's Episcopal Church is an historic Episcopal church in Forest Hills, Queens, a neighborhood of New York City. It was built in three phases that were completed in 1925, 1929, and 1940. The architect was Robert Tappan. The style, described as Collegiate Gothic with Arts and Crafts influences, was chosen to harmonize with surrounding houses in the upscale Forest Hills Gardens development. Tappan was a resident of Forest Hills Gardens and a member of the church, and took no fees for his work. In 1950 a parish house was added, designed by architect Steward Wagner, who was also a resident of the Gardens and a member of the nearby The Church-in-the-Gardens.The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Civic Virtue Triumphant Over Unrighteousness (1909–1922) is a sculpture group and fountain in New York City, created by sculptor Frederick William MacMonnies and architect Thomas Hastings, and carved by the Piccirilli Brothers. The fountain was originally placed in front of New York City Hall in Manhattan, spent almost 72 years beside Queens Borough Hall in Queens, and the sculpture group is now located in Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.

The Kew Bolmer is an apartment building located in Kew Gardens, Queens. Two brothers, Aldrick Man and Albon Man Jr., decided to lay out a new community in the vicinity of an old golf course in Queens, and first called it Kew but then changed it to Kew Gardens, after the well-known botanical gardens in England. Soon the first apartment building in Kew Gardens was created, the Kew Bolmer. It is located at 80-45 Kew Gardens Road. The Kew Bolmer was erected in 1915, and still stands today, at the intersection of Kew Gardens Road, and Queens Boulevard.

US Post Office-Forest Hills Station is a historic post office building located at Forest Hills in Queens County, New York, United States. It was built in 1937, and was designed by architect Lorimer Rich as a consultant to the Office of the Supervising Architect. It is a one-story flat roofed building clad with reddish brown terra cotta above a base of granite in the International style. It features exterior terra cotta relief sculptures by artist Sten Jacobsson.The post office is located on the eastbound frontage road of Queens Boulevard (the former Hoffman Boulevard) on the southwest corner of 70th Avenue across from MacDonald Park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The West Side Tennis Club is a private tennis club located in Forest Hills, a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Queens. The club has 38 tennis courts in all four surfaces (clay court, Har-Tru, grass court and hardcourt), a junior Olympic-size swimming pool and other amenities. It is the home of the Forest Hills Stadium, a 14,000 seat outdoor tennis stadium and concert venue.The club hosted 60 editions of the U.S. National Championships (renamed the US Open Tennis Championships in 1968), first from 1915 to 1920, and then again from 1924 to 1977. In addition, the finals of the Davis Cup were held at the club 10 times, more than any other venue. The US Pro tournament was held at the venue 11 times, and another prominent professional tournament, the Tournament of Champions, was held at the venue 3 times. The West Side Tennis Club was the venue of the Forest Hills Tennis Classic, a now-defunct WTA Tour Tier IV event, and a men's challenger event. The Open saw some of its biggest moments and changes while at West Side, including the introduction of seedings in 1927, tiebreakers in 1970, equal prize money for men and women in 1973, and night play in 1975. Currently, the stadium is used as an outdoor concert venue.

Bramson ORT College was a nonprofit private two-year college in New York City. Its main campus was located in Forest Hills, Queens, with a satellite campus in Brooklyn. It was affiliated with ORT America, a volunteer organization that is the umbrella organization of ORT in the United States, and World ORT, the parent nonprofit global Jewish organization that promotes education and training in over 100 countries. Founded in 1979, the institution closed in January 2017.
