The Plaza de Castilla (English: "Castile Square") is a roundabout in the north of Madrid, Spain.

The Monument to Calvo Sotelo (Spanish: Monumento a Calvo Sotelo) is an instance of public art located in Madrid, Spain. Erected on the south of the Plaza de Castilla, it is dedicated to José Calvo Sotelo.

Plaza de Castilla is a station on Line 1, Line 9 and Line 10 of the Madrid Metro. It is located in fare Zone A.

The Gate of Europe towers (Spanish: Puerta de Europa, - Door of Europe-), also known as KIO Towers (Torres KIO), are twin office buildings near the Plaza de Castilla in Madrid, Spain. The towers have a height of 114 m (374 ft) and have 26 floors. They were constructed from 1989 to 1996. The Puerta de Europa is the second tallest twin towers in Spain after the Torres de Santa Cruz in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Gate of Europe towers were designed by the American architects Philip Johnson and John Burgee, built by Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas and commissioned by the Kuwait Investment Office (hence their initial name "Torres KIO" or "KIO Towers"). Leslie E. Robertson Associates, RLLP New York (LERA) provided structural engineering services. Each building is 115 m tall with an inclination of 15°, making them the first inclined skyscrapers in the world. They are located near the Chamartín railway station, on the sides of the Plaza de Castilla bus station, north from the Paseo de la Castellana and near the Cuatro Torres Business Area (CTBA). After the receivership of Grupo Torras, KIO had to sell the buildings, which are now owned by CaixaBank and Realia. The west tower has a rooftop helicopter pad outlined in blue; the east tower has a red one.

Castillejos is an administrative neighborhood (barrio) of Madrid located in the district of Tetuán. It has an area of 0.708501 km2 (0.273554 sq mi). As of February 2020, it has a population of 20,870.

Valdeacederas [baldeaθeˈðeɾas] is a station on Line 1 of the Madrid Metro, opened in 1961 and located in Valdeacederas. It is located in Zone A.

Cuzco [ˈkuθ.ko] is a station on Line 10 of the Madrid Metro, under the Plaza de Cuzco ("Cuzco Place"). It is located in fare Zone A.

Almenara, also popularly known by the name of La Ventilla, is an administrative neighborhood of Madrid located in the district of Tetuán. It has an area of 0.999369 km2 (0.385859 sq mi). As of February 2020, it has a population of 23,114. The Avenida de Asturias crosses the area.

The Estación de Madrid-Chamartín Clara Campoamor or Madrid Chamartín is the second major railway station in Madrid, Spain. Located on the northern side of the city, it was built between 1970 and 1975, but more work was carried on into the early 1980s. It then superseded Atocha station, which is located just south of the city centre. However, as the AVE network expanded with a hub at Atocha, Chamartin again became Madrid's second station by passenger volume. It hosts the railway networks connecting Madrid and north-western Spain, the AVE (high-speed line) from Madrid to Segovia, Valladolid and León and many Cercanías lines (commuter rail), as well as the international line to Lisbon. There are also connections with Atocha. Under the railway station is Chamartín Metro Station, linking with lines 1 and 10 of the Madrid Metro, also for travelling to Madrid City Centre.

The Torre Cepsa (renamed in June 2014, before was Torre Bankia)(English: Cepsa Tower) is a skyscraper located in the Cuatro Torres Business Area in Madrid, Spain. With a height of 248.3 m (815 ft) and 45 floors, it is the second tallest of the four buildings in the Cuatro Torres Business Area complex, surpassed by Torre de Cristal by less than a metre. It is the second tallest building in Spain and the 4th tallest building in the European Union. Designed by Lord Foster, it was first known as Torre Repsol and would have served as headquarters for Repsol YPF oil and gas company. During the construction of the tower, Repsol decided to change the location of its future headquarters and the financial institution Caja Madrid purchased the building for €815 million in August 2007.In 2016 it was bought by Amancio Ortega, Europe's richest man and founder of global fashion group and Zara owner Inditex (ITX.MC), for €490 million euros through his property investment arm, Pontegadea Inmobiliaria, one of the biggest property companies in Spain. He purchased the tower from Abu Dhabi tycoon Khadem al-Qubaisi, whose fund had exercised a last-minute purchase option from Spanish lender Bankia (BKIA.MC), its previous owner.It was built by a joint venture of Dragados and Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas.

The Ministry of Defence (MINISDEF) is the department of the Government of Spain responsible for planning, developing and carrying out the general guidelines of the Government about the defence policy and the managing of the military administration. It is the administrative and executive body of the Spanish Armed Forces.According to the Constitution of 1978, the Monarch is the Commander in Chief of the Spanish military.
