Ķekava Municipality

Baloži (; German: Rollbusch) is a town of Latvia situated in the Ķekava Municipality just 12 kilometres from the centre of Riga. In 2021, the city had a population of 6,746.Baloži was founded soon after the Second World War; as a village at the time, it was developed for the nearby peat factory workers. The oldest part of the town is built in a Stalinist style. During the 1970s, territory of the village was expanded towards the A7 highway. During the 1980s this part was built as a modern residential district and called Titurga. In 1991 Baloži received town rights. After the Latvian administrative territorial reform of 2009, Baloži became part of Ķekava Municipality and thus became one of the few Latvian towns which are not municipal centres. Baloži is defined by Latvian law as a part of the region of Vidzeme.

Bišumuiža (German: Bienenhof) is a neighbourhood of Zemgale Suburb in Riga, the capital of Latvia.

Pārdaugava (literally means "Trans" or "Over" -Daugava area) is an area most often associated with Riga, composed of several neighbourhoods on the west (left) bank of Daugava River. The name is literally translated as 'over Daugava'.In the late Soviet period (around 1990) in Riga appeared several sports teams with such name and previously were associated with the Soviet Daugava club (originally associated with Soviet Dynamo sports society). Those were football team FK Pārdaugava and hockey team Dinamo Riga (original).

Turība University (Latvian: Biznesa augstskola "Turība"; formerly known as the Turība School of Business Administration) is the largest business school in Latvia. The university was established in 1993. It has three branches located in Liepāja, Cēsis, and Talsi.

Krūmiņsala ('Shrub Island') is a small island located in Latvia's capital city of Riga. It is located in the downstream of the Daugava, on the left coast near the border of the city. The island is located across the mouth of the River Olekte. Krūmiņsala is a part of the neighborhood of Katlakalns. It is 0.5 km long and 0.14 km wide, with an average height of 2-2,5 metres above the water level of Daugava. The island is uninhabited, covered with trees and shrubs. As a separate island, Krūmiņsala has existed at least since the mid-17th century. It is possible to reach the island by means of a boat berth installed in the summer of 2020. Cultural events have been held on the island since 2021 by the organizers of the Sansusī chamber music festival.

Turība Station is a station on the Riga-Jelgava railway line in Riga, Latvia. It was made to serve the Turība University, so all trains stop at the station, excluding diesel trains to Liepāja and Vilnius.The station was opened on August 29, 2003.

Salas ('Islands' in Latvian) is a neighbourhood of Riga, the capital of Latvia. Its landmass consists entirely of the islands Zaķusala, Lucavsala, and Kazas sēklis ('Goat Sandbank'). It is the least populated neighbourhood of Riga with a population of just around 70-80 people.

The Riga Radio and TV Tower (Latvian: Rīgas radio un televīzijas tornis) in Riga, Latvia is the tallest tower in the European Union. It was built between 1979 and 1989 with funding from the central government of the Soviet Union. Its highest point reaches 368.5 metres (1,209 ft),† which makes it the third tallest tower in Europe (after the Ostankino Tower at 540 metres (1,770 ft) and the Kyiv TV Tower at 385 metres (1,263 ft)) and the 15th tallest self-supporting tower in the world.
