Boaz is a city in Marshall and Etowah counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. The Marshall County portion of the city is part of the Albertville Micropolitan Statistical Area. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 10,107. Boaz was known for its outlet shops.

Sardis City is a town in Etowah and Marshall counties in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is part of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. It originally incorporated in May 1963 under the name of "Sardis". It became Sardis City in the 1980s. At the 2020 census, the population was 1,814.

The Thomas A. Snellgrove Homestead (also known as the Snellgrove-Sparks Homestead) is a group of three historic residences and their outbuildings in Boaz, Alabama. The houses are the last remnants of the plantation settled by Billy Sparks in 1878. Sparks was one of the first white settlers in what is now Boaz. In 1886 the community was granted a post office and assumed its current name. Thomas A. Snellgrove married one of Sparks' granddaughters in 1895, and purchased the remnants of the plantation in 1898, one year after the town was incorporated. Snellgrove built a two-story, Greek Revival house in 1900. The house has many vernacular features, including a two-level, full-width front porch. A one-story, gable roofed tenant's house was built behind the main house in 1915. In 1938, Snellgrove built an English-inspired cottage, with a large shed roofed dormer, for his daughter. The houses were listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in 1995 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The Julia Street Memorial United Methodist Church is a historic church at 302 Thomas Avenue in Boaz, Alabama. It was built in a Classical Revival style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The Edward Fenns Whitman House is a historic residence in Boaz, Alabama. The house was built in 1924 by E. F. Whitman, a businessman who has served as Boaz's first mayor in 1896. Whitman was heavily involved in manufacturing development in the new town, and owned interests in a cottonseed oil mill, a fertilizer plant, an ice plant, a cotton mill which produced twine, and petitioned for a new highway (later replaced by U.S. 431) to be routed through Boaz. In 1924, he replaced his original frame house with a brick Craftsman-style home designed by prominent Birmingham architect William Leslie Welton. Built at the height of the Craftsman movement, its tiled roof and porch with heavy brick piers, exposed rafter ends, and rectilinear fireplace mantles are all representative of the style. Whitman sold the house in 1939; it was purchased by Dr. Marston Hunt in 1942 who was one of the founders of the Boaz-Albertville Hospital in 1956. The house was sold in 1992 and converted into a bed and breakfast hotel. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Albertville High School is a four-year public high school in Albertville, Alabama. It has an enrollment of 1708 students and is accredited by the Alabama Department of Education. In 2023, 48.7% of Albertville High School students were female, and 51.2% of students were male. Albertville High School made AYP in 2007. In 2021, Albertville High School had 31 students for every full-time equivalent teacher.In 2023, Albertville High School had 68.87% of students were eligible for free or reduced price lunch programs. Albertville High School sports teams are known as the Albertville Aggies, for Albertville High School was originally an agricultural school. The Albertville High School Marching Band participated in the Rose Parade in Pasadena on January 1, 2024.

The Albertville Depot, also known as L&N Railroad Depot, is a historic train depot in Albertville, Alabama. It was built by the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Railway in 1892, one year after the town was incorporated. The building measures 112 by 40 feet (34 by 12 meters), and is divided into three rooms: two offices and one larger warehouse space.The depot is one of the only structures in Albertville to survive the tornado of 1908. Passenger service ended in the 1940s, although the depot remained in use for freight. Although the NC&StL was purchased by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad in 1880, the two companies operated separately until 1957. The depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 20, 1975. The building was renovated for use as a senior center in the mid-1990s. A former L&N caboose next to the depot houses the Albertville Museum.
