Clane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Clane, County Kildare, Ireland, winner of 17 Kildare county senior football championships, 16 county senior hurling championships and Kildare club of the year in 1975. Clane players are credited with bringing the handpass into Gaelic football. Richard Cribben was regarded as one of the best players in the game in the 1890s and played on the international team that played England at Stamford Bridge in 1896. Pa Connolly (a Cuchulainn All-Star award winner in 1963) and Tommy Carew featured on the Kildare football team of the millennium. Martin Lynch was an All Stars Award winner in 1991.

Conneff Park is a GAA stadium in Clane, County Kildare, Ireland. It is the home of Clane GAA and one of the main grounds of Kildare's hurling team. The ground is named after Tommy Conneff, an Irish athlete.

Scoil Mhuire is an Irish co-educational post-primary school in Clane, County Kildare. It owned by the Irish government and controlled by a board of management with ten members: two parents, two teachers, and six representatives from the trustees who are Kildare V.E.C. and the Presentation Sisters. The Presentation Sisters founded the secondary school, which was changed to community school status in 1983 when the school moved into the present building. They have completed an extension and sports hall to the school. The school is on the western outskirts of Clane, off the Prosperous Road (the R403). On 8 April 2016 enrollment was over 1000 students (with a roughly 50:50 ratio of boys and girls, aged 12 to 18) and a teaching staff of more than 70. The school operates the Transition Year, the Leaving Cert Applied and the Leaving Cert Vocational Programmes. Students also pursue programmes in physical education and religious studies. Students are encouraged to involve themselves in extracurricular activities, both indoor and outdoor. Adult education is promoted at Scoil Mhuire, which is one of the largest adult education schools in the country.

It features prominently in James Joyce's semi-autobiographical novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. One of five Jesuit schools in Ireland, it had 450 students in 2019.The school's current headmaster, Christopher Lumb, is the first lay headmaster in its history.

Rathcoffey (Irish: Ráth Chofaigh, meaning 'Cofaigh's ringfort') is a village in County Kildare, Ireland, around 30 km west of Dublin city centre. It had a population of 271 as of 2016 census. The village church, Rathcoffey Church, is part of the Clane & Rathcoffey Parish, and was built in 1710. Rathcoffey National School, a co-educational Catholic primary school, is the only educational institution in the village. Rathcoffey GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Rathcoffey. The club was founded in February 1888. Teams representing the club play hurling, camogie and Gaelic football.The Wogan family of Rathcoffey Castle were the principal landowners in Rathcoffey in the Middle Ages. In 1453, a private war erupted between different branches of the Wogan family for possession of Rathcoffey Castle.

Sallins (Irish: Na Solláin) is a town in County Kildare, Ireland, situated 3.5 km north of the town centre of Naas, from which it is separated by the M7 motorway. Sallins is the anglicised name of Na Solláin which means "the willows". In the Central Statistics Office census of 2022, Sallins had a population of 6,269 people, more than double the 2,922 inhabitants recorded in the 2002 census. It is the tenth largest settlement in Kildare and the 80th largest in Ireland. Sallins grew as a result of its position on both the Grand Canal and the Dublin to Cork railway line. Historically, the major employers in the town were Odlums Flour Mills and a meat factory, although both have now closed.Theobald Wolfe Tone is buried near Sallins in Bodenstown graveyard. Each summer, Irish republicans of various political and paramilitary groupings congregate at Sallins to hold commemorations at Tone's grave.
