Southern Bridge

Krūmiņsala ('Shrub Island') is a small island located in Latvia's capital city of Riga. It is located in the downstream of the Daugava, on the left coast near the border of the city. The island is located across the mouth of the River Olekte. Krūmiņsala is a part of the neighborhood of Katlakalns. It is 0.5 km long and 0.14 km wide, with an average height of 2-2,5 metres above the water level of Daugava. The island is uninhabited, covered with trees and shrubs. As a separate island, Krūmiņsala has existed at least since the mid-17th century. It is possible to reach the island by means of a boat berth installed in the summer of 2020. Cultural events have been held on the island since 2021 by the organizers of the Sansusī chamber music festival.

Holy Archangel Mikhail Church (Latvian: Svētā Erceņģeļa Mihaila pareizticīgo baznīca) is an Eastern Orthodox church in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The church is situated at the address 170 Maskavas Street.

The Baltic International Academy (Latvian: Baltijas Starptautiskā akadēmija, Russian: Балтийская международная академия) is the largest degree-awarding tertiary educational institution in Latvia teaching primarily in the Russian language and the largest non-government higher education establishment in the Baltic countries. It was established in 1992 as the Baltic Russian Institute (Latvian: Baltijas Krievu institūts, Russian: Балтийский русский институт). It adopted its current name in 2006. The academy has its main campus in Riga and has locations in Daugavpils, Liepāja, Rēzekne, Jēkabpils, Ventspils, Smiltene and Jelgava. It has 4,500 students, including 450 foreign students from 15 countries.

ISMA University of Applied Sciences (ISMA) (Latvian: Informācijas sistēmu menedžmenta augstskola; Russian: Высшая школа менеджмента и информационных систем) the holding, which provides education starting with pre-school preparation in ISMA Secondary school “Premjers” to doctoral studies at the University. The central office of ISMA is located in EU, Latvia, Riga. ISMA has two official branches in Daugavpils, Latvia and in Fergana, Uzbekistan – international branch. ISMA also has representative centers all over the world: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan.

Maskavas Forštate (German: Moskauer Vorstadt) also known as Maskavas priekšpilsēta and colloquially as Maskačka, is a suburb of Riga situated on the right bank of the Daugava. The neighborhood is located to the south of Old Riga along the road historically connecting Riga to Moscow, from which its name is derived.

The Riga Radio and TV Tower (Latvian: Rīgas radio un televīzijas tornis) in Riga, Latvia is the tallest tower in the European Union. It was built between 1979 and 1989 with funding from the central government of the Soviet Union. Its highest point reaches 368.5 metres (1,209 ft),† which makes it the third tallest tower in Europe (after the Ostankino Tower at 540 metres (1,770 ft) and the Kyiv TV Tower at 385 metres (1,263 ft)) and the 15th tallest self-supporting tower in the world.

Bišumuiža (German: Bienenhof) is a neighbourhood of Zemgale Suburb in Riga, the capital of Latvia.

Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TTI) (Latvian: Transporta un Sakaru Institūts, TSI) (Russian: Институт Транспорта и Связи, ИТС) (previously known as RCAII and Riga Aviation University) is the largest university-type accredited non-state technical higher educational and scientific establishment in Riga, the capital of Latvia. It was established in 1999, although it also incorporates the core of a technical and aviation school which dates back to 1919. Main directions of academic activities include electronics and telecommunications, information technology and computer science, economics, management and business administration, transport and logistics.

The Riga Civil Aviation Engineers Institute (RCAEI) (Latvian: Rīgas Civilās Aviācijas Inženieru Institūts (RCAII), Russian: Рижский институт инженеров гражданской авиации (РКИИГА until 1991), Рижский авиационный университет (РАУ until 1999)) was an engineering university in the USSR and Latvia. It was founded in 1919 and closed in 1999. Thousands of students graduated from the institute from over 93 countries. The institute had several different names during its history as well as moving from Kiev to Moscow to Petrograd to Riga. Riga Aviation University closed in 1999, with its programmes moved to Riga Technical University.

Vagonu Parks Station is a railway station in Riga Municipality on the Riga-Aizkraukle regional line, and the Riga–Daugavpils Railway Line.

St. John the Forerunner Church (Latvian: Svētā Jāņa Priekšteča pareizticīgo baznīca) is an Eastern Orthodox church in Riga, the capital of Latvia. The church is situated at the address 21 Kalna Street.

The Latvian Academy of Culture (Latvian: Latvijas Kultūras akadēmija) is a higher education establishment in Latvia offering various bachelor's, magister and doctoral degree programmes on cultural subjects. The academy was founded in 1990 and is located in the Latgale Suburb of Riga.
