Habitat 67 (standing wave)

HABITAT 67, or simply Habitat, is a model community and housing complex in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, designed by Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie. It was originally conceived as his master's thesis at the School of Architecture at McGill University and then built as a pavilion for Expo 67, the World's Fair held from April to October 1967. It is at 2600 Avenue Pierre-Dupuy on the Marc-Drouin Quay next to the Saint Lawrence River. Habitat 67 is widely considered an architectural landmark and one of the most recognizable buildings in both Montreal and Canada.

The Concordia Bridge (French: Pont de la Concorde) carries Avenue Pierre-Dupuy across the St. Lawrence River between Cité du Havre, Montreal, and Parc Jean-Drapeau on Saint Helen's Island. Most of its traffic is from motorists driving to the Montreal Casino on Île Notre-Dame and continuing on Pierre Dupuy Avenue across Pont des Îles. The bridge was built for Expo 67 and was used by the Montreal Expo Express train.

Dieppe Park (French: Parc de Dieppe) is a park in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is at the eastern tip of Cité du Havre, in the borough of Ville-Marie. Between 1992 and 2017, it was known as Parc de la Cité-du-Havre. In 2017 it was named Dieppe Park to mark the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid.Despite it having an area of just 7 hectares, it is categorized by the city of Montreal as one of its large parks.The park offers an excellent view of the Old Port of Montreal, Downtown Montreal, and the Jacques Cartier Bridge. It also is a viewing point of the Montreal Fireworks Festival.Nearby is the original Habitat 67 housing complex, the renowned Montréal landmark built for Expo 67.

The Montreal Science Centre (French: Centre des sciences de Montréal) is a science museum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located on the King Edward Pier in the Old Port of Montreal. Established in 2000 and originally known as the iSci Centre, the museum changed its name to the Montreal Science Centre in 2002. The museum is managed by the Old Port of Montreal Corporation (a division of the Canada Lands Company, a crown corporation of the Government of Canada). The museum is home to interactive exhibitions on science and technology as well as an IMAX theatre.

La Grande roue de Montréal is a Ferris wheel built at the Old Port of Montreal for the festivities for the 375th anniversary of the city. Open to the public since 1 September 2017, it is the tallest Ferris wheel in Canada. It is owned by Sandibe Global BV.

The Old Port of Montreal (French: Vieux-Port de Montréal) is the historic port of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Located adjacent to Old Montreal, it stretches for over 2 km (1.2 mi) along the Saint Lawrence River. It was used as early as 1611, when French fur traders used it as a trading post. In 1976, Montreal's Port activities were moved east to the present Port of Montreal in the borough of Mercier–Hochelaga-Maisonneuve.The Old Port was redeveloped in the early 1990s, under the direction of architects Aurèle Cardinal and Peter Rose. It is today a recreational and historical area and draws six million tourists annually.

The John Young Monument (French: Monument à John Young) is a monument of Canadian politician John Young by sculptor Louis-Philippe Hébert. It is located at the Old Port of Montreal, where Young was the first Chairman of the Port Commission.

The Saint Pierre River was a river in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, flowing into the St. Lawrence River. The city of Montreal was founded at its mouth, at the height of the site Pointe-à-Callière Museum.

Rue de la Commune (English: De la Commune Street) is a road in Old Montreal which is well used both by Montrealers and by tourists, since it is the home of the Pointe-à-Callière Museum and the Old Port of Montreal. The road follows the original shore of the Saint Lawrence River. The buildings along the north side of the road are former commercial buildings.

The McGill Street Terminal is a former interurban railway station located in Montreal, Quebec. It is located on the corner of Rue Marguerite-d'Youville and McGill Street. The building today houses a branch of Restaurant Pizzaiolle, a local pizza restaurant chain. Although the words Gare Union have been placed above the building's main entrance, the building has never been known by this name and never served as a union station.

Fort Ville-Marie was a French fortress and settlement established in May 1642 by a company of French settlers, led by Paul de Chomedey de Maisonneuve, on the Island of Montreal in the Saint Lawrence River at the confluence of the Ottawa River, in what is today the province of Quebec, Canada. Its name is French for "City of Mary", a reference to the Blessed Virgin Mary. It is the historic nucleus around which the original settlement of Montreal grew. The settlement became a centre for the fur trade and French expansion into North America until the Treaty of Paris in 1763, which ended the French and Indian War and ceded the territory of New France to Britain. Given its importance, the site of the fort was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1924.

Pointe-à-Callière Museum is a museum of archaeology and history in Old Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 1992 as part of celebrations to mark Montreal's 350th birthday. The museum has collections of artifacts from the First Nations of the Montreal region that illustrate how various cultures coexisted and interacted, and how the French and British regimes influenced the history of this territory over the years. The site of Pointe-à-Callière has been included in Montreal’s Birthplace National Historic Site since its designation in 1924. It receives more than 350,000 visitors a year. Nearly 4.5 million people have come to the museum since it opened in 1992. It has received more than fifty national and international awards, including those in museography, architecture, and for cultural, educational and community activities. The museum is affiliated with: the Canadian Museums Association, the Canadian Heritage Information Network, and the Virtual Museum of Canada. The museum complex comprises three archaeological sites: Pointe-à-Callière, Place Royale and 214 Place d'Youville; the archaeological field school at Fort Ville-Marie; Montreal's first Catholic cemetery; the William collector sewer; an archaeological crypt: Place Royale; a heritage building: the former Youville Pumping Station; 165-169 Place d’Youville, the Mariners House; and archaeological collections of over a million objects.
