Barrowhouse GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Laois located in the townland of Barrowhouse which is close to the border with County Kildare near the town of Athy in the Republic of Ireland.

Grangenolvin G.F.C. is a Gaelic football (GFC) club based in southern County Kildare, Ireland. The club's Senior Men's Team competes in the Kildare Senior Football League Division 3 and Kildare Junior Football Championship. Grangenolvin are a former AIB club of the year winner in 1985. Mick Carolan was chosen on the Kildare football team of the millennium and was a Cuchulainn All Stars Award winner in 1966. In 2023, the club re-established its LGFA Senior Women's Team.

Ballylinan GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association Gaelic football club in Ballylinan, County Laois, Ireland. The club was founded in 1926 and has colours of green and gold. Ballylinan Gaelic Athletic Association Club has been a central part of village life since it was founded in 1926. The club is a senior club which provides Gaelic football to all age groups from under six to adult. The club also formerly competed in the Laois Junior Hurling Championship. Ballylinan has won the Laois Intermediate Football Championship title five times and in 1987 and 2017 reached the Laois Senior Football Championship final, losing to Portlaoise both times. The club also works very closely with its ladies' football club, St Brigid's, who provide ladies' football for girls from under-12 to adult. The Club Grounds are located at Aughanure, Ballylinan Mick Lillis succeeded Niall Carew as manager ahead of the 2020 season.

Arles–Killeen GAA is a Gaelic football club in County Laois, Ireland. Founded in 1961 the club colours are white with black trim. The club has won 3 Laois Intermediate Football Championships and in 2006 reached the Laois Senior Football Championship final where they were beaten by Ballyroan Gaels. In 2013 and 2014 they again reached the Laois Senior Football Championship final but were beaten on both occasions by Portlaoise. Laois senior players Donal Kingston and Paul Kingston and former Laois players Brian McDonald, Donal Brennan and Paul McDonald play or played their club football with Arles–Killeen.

Arles–Kilcruise GAA Gaelic Athletic Association Club is a gaelic football club in County Laois, Ireland. Founded in October 1960, the club colours are maroon and white. The club won its only Laois Senior Football Championship title to date in 2003 under the captaincy of Paudge Conway. Arles won the Laois Junior Football Championship in 202 and followed up with the intermediate title two years later. From Under 12 to Under 21 the club's players play with Na Fianna Óg

Arles or Arless (historically Ardlisse, from Irish: Ard Lios, meaning 'high ringfort') is a village in County Laois, Ireland. It lies 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) northwest of Ballickmoyler and 10 km (6 mi) northwest of Carlow, on the N80 national secondary road. Located close to Carlow, the village has expanded in size since its foundation, when it comprised just a few houses around the church. The church was built in the 1680s (according to an inscription on a stone in the wall) and originally had a thatched roof. A mausoleum to the Grace family was built in the churchyard in 1818.

Kilkea (Irish: Cill Chá) is a village and civil parish in County Kildare, Ireland, about 75 km (47 mi) from Dublin, and 15 km (9.3 mi) from the town of Carlow. The R418 regional road from Athy to Tullow passes through the village.

Killeshin GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association football club in the village of Killeshin, County Laois, Ireland. The club colours are green and white and the club grounds, which are near the Laois-Carlow border, are called Seamus Hearns Park/Pairc Uisean. In 2019, Killeshin reached their first-ever Senior County final. Killeshin have never won the Laois Senior Football Championship title but they have won the Laois Intermediate Football Championship four times (1958, 1974, 1993 and 2011) and the Laois Junior Football Championship four times (1957, 1969, 1981 and 2008). The club won season four of RTÉ's Celebrity Bainisteoir in 2011, with ex-Ireland soccer star Tony Cascarino as their manager.

Killeshin (Irish: Cill Uisean, meaning 'church of [the glen of] Uise') is a village in County Laois, Ireland on the R430 regional road. Killeshin is a small rural community situated five kilometres west of Carlow town and overlooks the picturesque Barrow Valley. The church at the foot of Slievemargy, the hill above Killeshin, is the site of an early Christian monastery. The village is in a townland and civil parish of the same name.
