The Hunterdon County Vocational School District is a technical and vocational public school district serving students in ninth through twelfth grades and adult learners, located in Flemington, and serving the entire Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States community. Students attend the district's school on a half-day basis for specialized training in 11 core program areas, starting in their sophomore year. Most standard academic courses are taken at the student's home high school.As of the 2017-18 school year, the district and its three schools had an enrollment of 140 students and 17.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.0:1.

The Hunterdon County Polytech Career Academy is a vocational public high school that offers technical and career training to students in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Hunterdon County Vocational School District. The school is situated at two separate facilities in Raritan Township, the Bartles Corner Campus located off of Bartles Corner Road and the Central Campus located next to the Hunterdon Central Regional High School Field House.

Flemington Speedway was a motor racing circuit in Flemington, New Jersey which operated from 1915 to 2002. The track was once known for being the fastest 5/8 dirt track in the United States.

Diamond Nation is a 65-acre baseball complex in Flemington, New Jersey, that was established in 2009. It is home to Jack Cust Baseball Academy and Jennie Finch Softball Academy making itself a premier baseball and softball tournament and training center in the country. Diamond Nation currently has seven fields in total. Five of them are with ninety foot base paths, which can be converted into two little league fields each. The other two are seventy foot base paths. The New Jersey Diamond Jacks, which is run by Jack Cust Baseball Academy, was established as an elite 18U organization. The association has expanded to include teams from the 10U age to 18U.Multiple New Jersey high school baseball teams play games at Diamond Nation throughout the spring season.On 20 July 2012, Diamond Nation released Club Diamond Nation, which is a virtual baseball and softball training academy.In early 2014, Diamond Nation made proposals to build another complex in Fredericksburg, Virginia that would be home to Minor League Baseball team, Hagerstown Suns.

Hunterdon Central Regional High School is a comprehensive, four-year public high school, and regional school district that serves students from five municipalities in east central Hunterdon County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Students from Delaware Township, East Amwell Township, Flemington, Raritan Township and Readington Township attend the school.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2,575 students and 225.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.4:1. There were 250 students (9.7% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 60 (2.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "I", the second-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.

The Union Hotel is a historic landmark located on Main Street in Flemington, New Jersey. It is a contributing property to the Flemington Historic District. First constructed by Neal Hart in 1814, it served as a gathering place for well-to-do stagecoach passengers and socialites throughout the 19th Century, as well as many local characters and tourists visiting the area. The exterior of the present building dates to 1878. It gained national notoriety in the early months of 1935 when the trial of Bruno Hauptmann for the kidnapping of Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr. was conducted directly across the street at the Hunterdon County Courthouse and members of the national media covering the trial all stayed at the hotel. Decades later the property was purchased by new owners, renovated, restored, and converted into what is now officially known as the Union Hotel Restaurant. The second and third floors (which once housed hotel patrons) were left empty and unoccupied, adding to the growing mythos surrounding the widely recognized Hunterdon County icon.Murals created by Carl Ritz with the assistance of Kurt Wiese adorn the hotel.

The Watchung Outliers include six areas of isolated low hills and rock outcrops of volcanic and sedimentary origin in the U.S. states of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. These geologic outliers are primarily diminutive and detached remnants of the Triassic/Jurassic age Watchung Mountain basalt flows with intervening layers of sedimentary rock. All six of the outliers are found along the western edge of the Newark Basin, occupying small synclines adjacent to the Ramapo fault system. The outliers, from north to south, are known as: Ladentown, Union Hill, New Germantown/Oldwick (including Round Top), Prospect Hill, Sand Brook, and Jacksonwald.

Flemington Junction station is a defunct Lehigh Valley Railroad station in Flemington Junction, New Jersey. It was located at the junction of the Lehigh Valley's Flemington Branch and Main Line, although the name predated the opening of the branch by eight years. The Lehigh Valley Railroad, via its Easton and Amboy Railroad subsidiary, extended its main line east from Easton, Pennsylvania, to Jersey City, New Jersey, between 1872 and 1875. The extension officially opened on June 28, 1875. The location, which had passenger service but no passenger building, was then called Barton's Bridge. A stagecoach line carried passengers into Flemington, New Jersey proper. The company adopted the name "Flemington Junction" on April 16, 1876. A freight house opened later that year. A separate passenger building was not constructed until 1879–1882. The Flemington Branch, a 1.7-mile (2.7 km) line into Flemington, opened on August 4, 1884.As late as 1948 a gas-electric motor car made eleven round-trips per day between Flemington Junction and Flemington, but change was coming. Buses replaced the train over the branch in 1952; the buses themselves were withdrawn in 1957. The freight house was torn down in 1955 as business declined. Passenger service to Flemington Junction ended on February 4, 1961, with the end of all passenger service on the Lehigh Valley. The Lehigh Valley abandoned the building in 1963.The station building still stands and is a contributing property of the Raritan–Readington South Branch Historic District. The current building will be demolished by the end of 2019.

The Hunterdon County Courthouse is an historic site located in Flemington, the county seat of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States, that is best known as the site of the 1935 "Trial of the Century" of Bruno Hauptmann and his conviction and sentence of death for his role in the Lindbergh kidnapping.

The Samuel Fleming House, also known as Flemington Castle, is a historic home located in Flemington, in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States, built in 1756. The building is now operated as a museum. It is the oldest surviving house in the borough. It is part of the Flemington Historic District. Samuel Fleming, born in Ireland in 1707, came to the present-day United States and worked nearby as a tavernmaster, and bought 210 acres (0.85 km2) in present-day Flemington as the site for a home in 1741 from Thomas Penn, son of William Penn, the founder of the Province of Pennsylvania. After the house was constructed in 1756, the area becoming known as "The Fleming Settlement", then as "Fleming's" and was known as "Flemington" by the 1870s. Fleming operated a tavern, often said to be in the house itself, which was said to have been visited by General George Washington, who it was claimed wrote about "stopping at Fleming's" in his journal.The site was sold to the Borough of Flemington by the Daughters of the American Revolution for use as a museum. The Castle has been arranged to depict typical life in the 18th century including a colonial-style kitchen, ladies parlor and tavern room.A 2007 study by an historic preservation consultancy hired by the borough determined that claims that the house had been used as tavern, as a stagecoach stop and as a post office, and that it had been visited by George Washington were untrue, and had been embellished based on a newspaper story dating to 1870. A review of historical documents showed that Fleming operated a tavern, but that it was not located in the historic house. Court records showed that the Fleming Castle property had been seized in a sheriff's sale in 1763 and the tavern was seized in a separate sale in 1766. Records also showed that Fleming had been given a license to operate a tavern in 1746, ten years before the house was built. Despite longstanding tradition, an analysis of contemporary documents found no mention of Washington ever having visited the site.The research also determined that there was no evidence that Fleming used the term "castle" to refer to his home. The minutes of a meeting of the Colonel Lowrey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held in 1906 contain the first reference to the site as the "Fleming Castle". The house was deeded to the Lowrey Chapter in 1927, which maintained the site and used it as its offices and as a museum. The group sold the house to the borough of Flemington in 2005 for $138,000.

The Flemington Historic District is a historic district in the borough of Flemington in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. After evaluation by the state historic preservation office (SHPO), it was listed on New Jersey Register of Historic Places (NJRHP #1587)) and the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP #80002493) on September 17, 1980, for its significance in architecture and politics/government. One has been documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS). Among the contributing properties (CP) are: Union Hotel - Early 19th century hotel in downtown Flemington that served as a restaurant until its 2008 closure. The current structure dates to 1877, built on the site of what had been a stagecoach stop that dates to 1814. Hunterdon County Courthouse - Historic court house where the Lindbergh Trial took place. Now used for County offices. Fleming Castle / Samuel Fleming House - First house in Flemington, 5 Bonnell Street. Purchased by the Borough of Flemington in 2005 and operated as a historical museum by the Friends of Fleming Castle.
