Roselawn Cemetery (Irish: Reilig Phlásóg na Rós) (also known as Roselawn) is a large cemetery and crematorium on the outskirts of Belfast in Northern Ireland. It opened in 1954. It is owned and operated by Belfast City Council. It is located on the Ballygowan Road.

Knockbreda Football Club (formerly Knockbreda Parish) is a semi-professional, Northern Irish football club playing in the NIFL Championship. They hail from Belfast and play their home matches at Breda Park, on the Upper Braniel Road located in the east of the city. The club was formed after the Second World War, c. 1947. and played in the Irish Churches' League before joining the Northern Amateur Football League in 1989. Intermediate status was achieved on promotion to Division 1B in 1997. In 2009, the club was admitted to the IFA Championship

Braniel or The Braniel is a large housing estate and townland in southeast Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is in the barony of Castlereagh Upper and parish of Knockbreda in County Down. Two small developments, Roddens and Glenview, are located in the area, and are often referred to the Braniel. It is a predominantly unionist area.

Castlereagh ( KAH-səl-ray) was a local government district with the status of borough in Northern Ireland. It merged with Lisburn City Council in May 2015 under local government reorganisation in Northern Ireland to become Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, with a small amount being transferred to Belfast City Council. It was a mainly urban borough consisting mostly of suburbs of Belfast in the Castlereagh Hills (to the south-east of the city) with a small rural area in the south of the borough. Unusually, it had no natural borough centre. The main centres of population are Carryduff, 6 miles (9.6 km) south of Belfast city centre and Dundonald, 5 miles (8 km) east of it. Castlereagh was named after the barony of Castlereagh, which in turn was named after the townland of same name (from the Irish An Caislean Riabhach, or Grey Castle, a reference to a stronghold of the Clandeboye O'Neils which stood on a site near what is now an Orange hall on Church Road).

Cherryvalley is a former electoral ward of Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland. Along with neighbouring Stormont and Malone in south Belfast, Cherryvalley is considered one of Northern Ireland's most affluent and exclusive residential areas with average house prices reaching £2-3m. Cherryvalley was also an electoral ward of East Belfast which was created in 1985 in order to reduce the electorates of the neighbouring Stormont and Shandon wards. The residents of the area have long been the subject of jest in Northern Ireland, being seen to talk with an affected posh accent. This was popularised by the comedian James Young with his "Cherryvalley Lady" sketch, comparable to the English Hyacinth Bucket.During World War II German prisoners of war were interned in the area, on the site now occupied by the headquarters of the Police Service of Northern Ireland. In 2005 a property in the area, which was owned by estate agent Philip Johnston and rented by UDA member Jim Gray, was the subject of a PSNI investigation into money laundering.

Moneyreagh or Moneyrea (from Irish Mónaidh Riabhach, meaning 'grey bog or moor') is a small village and townland in County Down, Northern Ireland. It is just off the main road between Belfast and Ballygowan. It is situated in the civil parish of Comber and the historic barony of Castlereagh Lower. It had a population of 1,594 people in the 2021 Census.

Knock railway station was on the Belfast and County Down Railway which ran from Belfast to Newcastle, County Down in Northern Ireland.

Clarawood is a housing estate in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is located in the east of the city and incorporates the neighbouring Richhill development. Its name is probably derived from An Chlárach (Irish: the place of flat-topped hills). It is located off Knock Road (A55).

The La Mon restaurant bombing was an incendiary bomb attack by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) on 17 February 1978 and has been described as one of the worst atrocities of the Troubles. It took place at the La Mon House hotel and restaurant, near Belfast. The IRA left a large incendiary bomb, containing a napalm-like substance, outside one of the restaurant's windows. There were 450 diners, hotel staff and guests inside the building. The IRA said that they tried to send a warning from a public telephone, but were unable to do so until nine minutes before the bomb detonated. The blast created a fireball, killing 12 people and injuring 30 more, many of whom were severely burnt. Many of the injured were treated in the Ulster Hospital in nearby Dundonald. A Belfast native, Robert Murphy, received twelve life sentences in 1981 for the manslaughter of those who were killed. Murphy was freed from prison on licence in 1995.

Lagan College is an integrated secondary school in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It holds a total of around 1540 students. It was formed in 1981 as the first integrated school in Northern Ireland and contains students of mainly Roman Catholic and Protestant faiths, however students from other faiths also attend the school. The school is situated on National Trust land, overlooking Belfast. It is named after the River Lagan, which flows through the city. It is one of Northern Ireland's most oversubscribed secondary schools.

Grosvenor Grammar School (formerly Grosvenor High School) is an 11–18 co-educational controlled grammar school and sixth form in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Neill's Hill railway station is a disused railway station / halt on the main line of the Belfast and County Down Railway. It ran from Queen's Quay, Belfast south to Newcastle, County Down in Northern Ireland. When the Belfast and County Down Railway was open, Neill's Hill railway station was the 4th station from Queen's Quay, Belfast. After traversing Ballymacarrett Junction (where a station existed at Ballymacarrett on the Bangor Line) the preceding stations were Fraser Street Halt and Bloomfield. The stations following Neill's Hill were Knock, Dundonald, Henryville Halt, Comber, Ballygowan, Shephard's Bridge Halt, Saintfield, Ballynahinch Junction, Crossgar, King's Bridge Halt, Downpatrick North Junction, Downpatrick, Downpatrick South Junction, Downpatrick Loop Platform, Tullymurry (old), Tullymurry (new), Ballykinlar, Dundrum, Junction with Castlewellan line and the terminus at Newcastle railway station in Newcastle.
