Cultra railway station is a railway station in the townland of Ballycultra in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. It serves the Cultra residential area and the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum.

Craigavad railway station was a railway station in the townland of Ballygrainey on the Belfast, Holywood and Bangor Railway until it was absorbed by the Belfast and County Down Railway in 1884, the line ran from Queen's Quay station to Bangor railway station in Northern Ireland and was located 6.7 miles (10.8 km) from the Queen's Quay terminus.

Result is a three-masted cargo schooner built in Carrickfergus in 1893. She was a working ship until 1967, and served for a short time in the Royal Navy as a Q-ship during World War I. She currently rests on land at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, and in 1996 was added to the National Register of Historic Vessels.

Rockport School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls from 2.5 years to 18 years in the British Public School tradition. It is situated in 25 acres (10 ha) of woodland on the shore of Belfast Lough in Craigavad, near Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland, between Belfast and Bangor.

A monastery was founded by St Laiseran before 640 on the site of the present ruins of the medieval Old Priory at the junction of High Street, Victoria Road and the Old Bangor Road in Holywood, County Down. The present ruins are late 12th / early 13th century Anglo-Norman Augustinian Abbey built by Thomas Whyte and much of these ruins remain as the fabric of the structure. The church consists of a nave & chancel without structural division, 22.5m x 6m internally, with a West tower. The original building is late 12th / early 13th century & entered on South. In the 15th century, the West end was rebuilt with a new entrance & the East window replaced. The upper levels of the tower were added in 18th century. Some of the masonry is 'Cultra Stone' ashlar (a creamy white limestone – also used in the nearby Mortello Tower windmill stump and Carrickfergus Castle) and red sandstone. The Cultra Stone is also used for masonry dressings at Ardkeen and Ballywalter churches as well as other churches in the wider Ards area.In the South wall are 3/4 17th-century windows, now all blocked up. Also built into the South wall was a 13th-century coffin lid, now removed to the North Down Heritage centre, Bangor. The coffin lid has a St. Andrew's style cross of eight points rising from a calvary. The main body of the coffin lid was decorated with foliage, although one branch had been omitted, "...for the purpose of leaving room for the emblem of a pair of shears, which probably indicated that the monument was that of a female, the sword being the corresponding male emblem on grave slabs of this class." There is also a piscina with trefoil head & dog-tooth ornament. After the Black death (1348–1350) Niall O’Neill refurbished the church for the Franciscan Order. The Priory was dissolved on New Years Day, 1541, by Henry VIII with its lands passing into the hands of the O’Neill family and then to Sir James Hamilton, First Viscount Clandeboye. Hamilton laid out the town, with a maypole at the crossroads and most of the early buildings are clustered round the Priory. The site was known as Santus Boscus or Santus Nemus by the early 13th century and the church of Haliwode is listed in the Taxation of Pope Nicholas – c.1300 – as being worth 6 marks. In 1210 it is recorded that: "...King John halted 'apud sanctum Boscum' when on his way from Carrickfergus to Downpatrick." In 1217 Jordanus de Saukevill was confirmed by Henry III in the possession of his lands 'de Sancto Bosco'. (Ibid).

Seahill railway station is located in the townland of Ballyrobert in the Seahill area of Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland. The station was opened on 4 April 1966.

Craigantlet Hillclimb, a speed event organised by the Ulster Automobile Club, was first held in 1913. It is the only such venue in Northern Ireland to host a round (latterly two rounds) of the British Hill Climb Championship, which started in 1947. The current course is 1,460 yards (1335 metres) in length, and unlike hillclimbs in the rest of the UK is laid out on closed public roads. Sections of the course are named for past winners, in order of ascent: Howe, Hall, Hadley, Mays Cross, Allard, Wharton Straight, Pringle.Tragedy struck at Craigantlet in 1995 when Mark Colton was killed in practice for the event. The meeting was abandoned. The hill record currently stands at 39.63 seconds, set by Scott Moran on 2 August 2008, driving a Gould GR61.

Seahill is a village on the northern coast of County Down, Northern Ireland. It is within the townland of Ballyrobert, with Holywood to the west and Helen's Bay and Crawfordsburn to the east. Seahill was once a stand-alone settlement but it is now joined to Holywood and the Greater Belfast conurbation. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 1,018 people.

Priory Integrated College or more commonly known as Priory College or simply Priory is a secondary school located on My Lady's Mile, in Holywood, County Down, Northern Ireland.It is a co-educational integrated college taking in 11- to 18-year-old pupils from a wide area beyond Holywood, including Millisle, Donaghadee, Bangor, Newtownards, Dundonald and Belfast.Priory is an Apple distinguished school, and every student is assigned with an educational iPad used for school work, homework, coursework and revision. The school received an iTeach technology award in 2016.The school offers a range of subjects including; Art and Design, Home Economics, English Language, English Literature, French, Geography, History, Mathematics, Science, Technology and Design, Music, Learning for Life and Work, ICT and P.E. These subjects are compulsory to study at Key Stage 3 Level. At GCSE level the school offers further studies and its main education board of choice is CCEA, but also uses AQA, OCR and Edexcel in certain subjects.
