Forrest Theatre

The Catacombs Nightclub was a gay after-hours club in Philadelphia that played underground dance music, which was the precursor to house music. Additionally, Catacombs was responsible for the creation of the dance music genre "Philly Classics." The club was a haven and cultural center for music industry professionals and artists of diverse backgrounds in the early '80s.

The New Century Club of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was founded in 1877. It was one of the first women's clubs in the United States, and included professional women as well as women active in women's rights and the abolition movement.

12–13th & Locust station is a PATCO Speedline subway station in Washington Square West in Center City, Philadelphia. The station has a single island platform, with a fare mezzanine above. The mezzanine level connects to the Center City Pedestrian Concourse, which connects subway and regional rail stations in the Center City area. PATCO plans to make the station accessible to people with disabilities, adding elevators between street level and the mezzanine, and between the mezzanine and the platform. The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2022.

Samuel Gross (1897) is a bronze statue by sculptor Alexander Stirling Calder, created as a monument to the American surgeon Dr. Samuel D. Gross (1805–1884). It was commissioned for and originally installed at the Army Medical School in Washington, D.C., on what is now the National Mall. In April 1970, it was relocated to the campus of Jefferson Medical College (now Thomas Jefferson University) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It currently stands on the Sidney and Ethal Lubert Plaza, within the square bordered by 10th, Walnut, 11th and Locust Streets.

Estey Hall, also known as the Allman Building, is a historic building in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Estey Hall is a seven-story, commercial building, designed by architects Baker and Dallet, erected by Herbert D. Allman in 1910–11. It was the site from 1911 to 1924 of the Estey Piano Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia (formerly known as Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia and Mendelssohn Club Chorus of Philadelphia) is a music institution in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded in 1874 by William Wallace Gilchrist, a major figure in the 19th century music of Philadelphia. The chorus is currently under the direction of Dominick DiOrio (2020- ). It was previously directed by Paul Rardin from 2015 to 2020, chair of the department of choral conducting at Temple University. Prior to Rardin's appointment, the chorus was led by Alan Harler from 1988 to 2015.

The Chestnut Street Opera House was a theatre located at 1021–1029 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Built by theatre impresario Robert Fox on the former site of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, it opened as a venue for vaudeville in 1870 as Fox's New American Theatre. The theatre was destroyed by fire in 1877 and was rebuilt that same year. After being acquired by George K. Goodwin, the theatre was remodeled, renamed the Chestnut Street Opera House, and re-opened as a legitimate theatre in 1880. It continued to operate as a legitimate theatre, first under the management of theatre magnates Samuel F. Nixon and J. Fred Zimmerman Sr., who acquired the theatre's lease in 1882, and later under the Shubert Organisation, who acquired the theatre in 1916. It was still considered one of Philadelphia's leading legitimate theatres during the 1920s and 1930s. The theatre was also used as a venue for films and was a model theatre for the Triangle Film Corporation in 1915–1916. The theatre closed in 1939 and was demolished in 1940.

Roberts-Quay House is a historic home located in the Washington Square West neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The original section was built in about 1850, and expanded in 1889, 1906, 1921, and 1928.

The Philadelphia Sketch Club, founded on November 20, 1860, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is one of America's oldest artists' clubs. The club's own web page proclaims it the oldest. Prominent members have included Joseph Pennell, Thomas Eakins, A.B. Frost, Howard Chandler Christy, and N.C. Wyeth.The club's mission is "to provide a community for visual artists, appreciation of the visual arts and visual arts education." The club's low-cost workshops and competitions are open to the public. All interested artists are invited to apply for membership. The club's activities are sustained by gifts from members, friends and nearly 20 major foundations, corporations and historical organizations.The club has held shows and exhibitions since its founding. Medal winners from the club's shows include Violet Oakley, John Folinsbee and Betty Bowes. In April 2008, the club held its 145th Annual Exhibition of Small Oil Paintings at the club's main gallery.The club's art collection includes 44 portraits of members painted in the 1890s by Thomas Anshutz; more than 125 etchings by members of the Philadelphia Society of Etchers; and sculpture, stained glass, ceramics, bronze plaques, medals and metal work by its own members. The Club lends pieces to other organizations and exhibitors from time to time. The Club's archives contain information from artists associated with the club.

Philadelphia Club was founded in 1834 and is located at 13th and Walnut Streets in Center City, Philadelphia. It is the oldest city club in the United States and one of the oldest gentlemen's clubs. Notable members have included George Meade, Owen Wister, and many members of the Du Pont and Biddle families.

The Princeton Club is a pair of historic buildings located at 1221 and 1223 Locust Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The building at 1223 was designed by architect Frank Furness; the building at 1221 is believed to have been partly designed by architect Lindley Johnson. From about 1910 through the 1970s, the buildings housed the Princeton Club of Philadelphia. Alterations were made by the club in 1915 and 1919 to join the buildings together. The Princeton Club of Philadelphia was founded in 1868, and was housed in five other buildings before moving to Locust Street. According to its 1912 Yearbook, the club served "to foster good fellowship among Princeton men; and also to provide a suitable place for Alumni meetings, smokers, etc."The restaurant Deux Cheminées occupied the buildings from 1988 to 2007. The property is currently occupied by the restaurant Vedge.

New York Mutual Life Insurance Company Building, also known as the Victory Building, is a historic office building located in the Market East neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Henry Fernbach and Phillip W. Roos are credited as the building's architects. It was built in 1873, and is a seven-story, brick building, faced with granite, and measuring 58 feet by 176 feet. Its three lowest stories feature engaged columns, pilasters, balustrades, and arcades. The top three stories were added in 1890–1891. It is topped by a mansard roof in the Second Empire style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is located on the East Center City Commercial Historic District.
