The 2024 Chevron Championship was the 53rd Chevron Championship LPGA golf tournament, held April 18–21 in Texas at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, a suburb north of Houston. In its third year with Chevron Corporation as the title sponsor, it was the tournament's 42nd year as a major championship. The Golf Channel televised the event for the 14th consecutive year, with coverage on NBC Sports for the second consecutive year. Nelly Korda won her second major title, two strokes ahead of runner-up Maja Stark, and equaled an LPGA record with five consecutive wins, tying Nancy Lopez (1978) and Annika Sörenstam (2004–05).

The community won a Special Award for Excellence in 1994 from the Urban Land Institute.

The Woodlands Christian Academy is a private, college preparatory Christian school in The Woodlands, unincorporated Montgomery County, Texas. The school covers grades Pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, serving 600 students. The forty-acre campus is located 28 miles (45 km) north of Downtown Houston.The school has a 40-acre (16 ha) campus.

The Conroe Independent School District's Academy of Science and Technology, located in The Woodlands, Texas is a magnet school in science and technology; it is also a member of the National Consortium of Specialized STEM Schools (NCSSS). It was founded at Oak Ridge High School in 1987 with the first graduates in 1991. The AST relocated to The Woodlands College Park High School in stages from 2005 to 2007. The first Headmaster in 1991 was Dr. Ron Laugen, who came from the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley. He was succeeded in 2007 by Dr. Susan Caffery, who served until 2023. The third Headmaster is Dr. Debra Creel. Math, science, and electives in these areas are taught mainly only to students from the Academy. All other courses are taken with the high school along with students who are not in the magnet program. Candidates are accepted by the Academy of Science and Technology following application, testing, and essay reviewing. Some candidates are interviewed by two faculty members before being accepted. For each class, 65 students are initially accepted, and ten are wait-listed. The size of each class at a given time is between 65 and 77 students. There are approximately 280 students in the Academy, selected from College Park High School, the Woodlands High School and Oak Ridge High School attendance zones.

The Woodlands College Park High School is a high school in The Woodlands, CDP area of Montgomery County, Texas in the United States. It is operated by the Conroe Independent School District (CISD), and is one of the six main high schools in the district. Opened in the fall of 2005, it enrolls students from grades 9 to 12. The school operates on a seven period day and in some cases, offers zero and eighth hour periods before and after school, respectively. College Park is also home to the Conroe ISD Academy of Science and Technology, a science and technology based magnet program. In addition to sections of The Woodlands, it serves portions of Shenandoah.

Lone Star College–Montgomery (formerly Montgomery College or MC) is a community college in The Woodlands, Texas. It was founded in 1992 and is part of the Lone Star College System, serving the Montgomery County area. The school enrolled just over 9,200 credit students in the fall 2007 semester and is the only Lone Star College System college to offer biotechnology, physical therapist assistant, human services and land surveying degrees. The current campus was dedicated August 14, 1995, by then-Governor George W. Bush.
