Formula Hybrid is a design and engineering challenge for undergraduate and graduate college and university students. Started at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, and sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers, the competition is a spinoff of the Formula SAE competition based on hybrid vehicle technology. They must design, build, and compete an open-wheel, single-seat race car. This car must conform to a formula which emphasizes drive train innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application. The contest are held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Loudon, New Hampshire. It was founded in 2006. In 2013, an all-electric category was added. The Formula Hybrid student automotive design competition encourages the development of hybrid automotive drive trains with an emphasis on efficiency in a high-performance application. Improved efficiency in an automotive drive system can be used to increase fuel economy, performance, or both. Building on the Formula SAE program, Formula Hybrid adds an extra level of complexity: fuel efficiency.Like Formula SAE events, the Hybrid competition includes an acceleration test, autocross and endurance events, as well as engineering and construction static events. Unlike Formula SAE, Formula Hybrid events put a greater emphasis on drive train innovation and fuel efficiency.

The Civil Defence Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia (Russian: Академия гражданской защиты МЧС России; АГЗ МЧС России) is a state institution for the training of highly qualified specialists in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. As part of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the academy trains troops (both officers and NCOs) for the service of the country's civil defence forces and disaster response services. It was founded in 1992 and is located in Novogorsk microdistrict of Khimki, in Moscow Oblast very close to Moscow.

Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University (Russian: Московский автомобильно-дорожный государственный технический университет) is a public university located in Moscow, Russia. It was founded in 1930.

Aeroport (Russian: Аэропо́рт, IPA: [aɪrɐˈport]) is a Moscow Metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line. Its name, literally meaning airport, owes to the nearby Khodynka Aerodrome, Moscow's first airport, no longer in operation. Now, there is a bus terminal (Goraerovokzal, Гораэровокзал) which has regular service to Moscow's principal airports. Opened as part of the second stage on 11 September 1938, the station features a single-vault design. It was built using a cut-and cover method. Concrete segments of the vault were pre-cast and then lowered into the station. Architects B. Vilensky and V. Yershov applied the aviation theme to this big open station, in what is seen as some of the best examples of Soviet Art Deco architecture. The most noticeable design feature is the network of intersecting ribs that fan out across the vaulted ceiling. These ribs originate from fan-shaped limestone panels spaced at regular intervals along the walls, which are red marble with shell-shaped brown marble insets. The floor is revetted with grey granite. Lighting comes from pyramidal objects which house luminescent lamps, although originally the station had chandeliers with normal tungsten bulbs. The vestibule to the station is located on the north side of Leningradsky Avenue near the Viktorenko Street, and receives a daily passenger traffic of 59,800.

Triumph Palace (Russian: Триу́мф-Пала́с, transliterated as Triumf Palas) is the tallest apartment building in Moscow and all of Europe. It is sometimes called the Eighth Sister because it is similar in appearance to the Seven Sisters skyscrapers built in Moscow under Joseph Stalin through the 1950s. Construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2006. The 57-storey building, containing about 1,000 luxury apartments, was topped out on 20 December 2003, making it Europe's and Russia's tallest skyscraper at 264.1 metres (866 ft) until the inauguration in 2007 of Moscow's 268-metre Naberezhnaya Tower block C. Triumph Palace is featured in detail in the 2009 Channel 4 series Vertical City (series 1, episode 8).

Vsekhsvyatskoye (Russian: Всехсвятское), formerly a village outside Moscow, Russia; now a city neighbourhood in Sokol District, is known for its historic Brotherly Cemetery of Russian soldiers who died in World War One. The cemetery is also known for its mass graves of the October Revolution, which remained unmarked for the entire Soviet period.

CSKA Ice Palace (Russian: Ледовый Дворец Спорта ЦСКА) was an indoor arena located in Moscow, Russia. The arena's seating capacity was 5,600. The arena was located next to Khodynka Field, and was a part of the CSKA Sports Complex. It was primarily used to host ice hockey games and figure skating competitions.

VINITI (Russian: ВИНИТИ; All-Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information; Russian: Всероссийский институт научной и технической информации former All-Union Institute for Scientific and Technical Information) is a subsidiary of the Russian Academy of Sciences devoted to gathering scientific and technical information from sources throughout the world and disseminating this information to the Russian scientific community. It was established in 1952 as the Institute for Scientific Information (Russian: Институт научной информации). Its founder was Alexander Nesmeyanov. Its main office is in Moscow, and its publishing house is in Lyubertsy. The Institute publishes Referativny Zhurnal ("The Abstract Journal") and produces the VINITI Database RAS.

Khoroshyovsky District (Russian: Хорошёвский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion) of Northern Administrative Okrug, and one of the 125 raions of Moscow, Russia. It is 6 kilometers northwest of the Moscow city center. Central to the district is Khodynka Field, which, as an open space in the northwest of Moscow was long the site of agriculture, battles, celebrations and the first airfield in Russia. In recent years the district has seen large scale developments, including the Megasport Sports Palace, VEB Arena, the Aviapark shopping center, and the Triumph Palace highrise residential building. The area of the district is 8.54 square kilometers (3.30 sq mi). Population: 56,600 (2017 est.)

New Humanitarian School (NHS, Russian: Новая гуманитарная школа "Novaya Gumanitarnaya Shkola", НГШ) is a private primary and secondary school in Aeroport District, Northern Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia, with education from grades 1 through 11. It also offers a preparatory program for children of ages 4 and 5. Vasiliy Georgievich Bogin (Russian: Василий Георгиевич Богин) is the founder and current director of the school. As of 2011 the school had small class sizes and about 150 students. In the school, students from all language backgrounds are taught exclusively in Russian and not in their native languages. Even though New Humanitarian is a private school, it is still heavily regulated by the Government of Russia.Clifford J. Levy, a New York Times foreign correspondent, said "Bogin’s inability to renovate the building or find a bigger one reflects to some extent the establishment’s ambivalence toward his brilliance as an educational provocateur." In September 2007 Levy enrolled his children in the school. His children were among the first non-Russian students to attend the school.

Khodynka (Russian: Ходынский, Khodynskiy), officially Frunze Central Aerodrome, formerly known as Central (Tsentralny, Центральный аэродром имени М. В. Фрунзе), was an airport in Moscow, Russia, located northwest of the centre of the city.

The Khodynka Tragedy (Russian: Ходынская трагедия) was a crowd crush that occurred on 30 May [O.S. 18 May] 1896, on Khodynka Field in Moscow, Russia. The crush happened during the festivities after the coronation of the last Emperor of Russia, Nicholas II. While 1,282 corpses were collected from the scene, injury estimates range widely from 1,200 to 20,000.
