Embassy of Indonesia, Ottawa (French: Ambassade d'Indonésie à Ottawa; Indonesian: Kedutaan Besar Republik Indonesia di Ottawa) is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to Canada. The embassy also represents Indonesia in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition to the embassy, Indonesia has two consulate generals in Toronto (Ontario) and Vancouver (British Columbia).The chancery is located on Parkdale Avenue, south of the Ottawa River in Mechanicsville. The Indonesian government bought and renovated the building in this location in 1997. Before this location, the chancery was located on 287 MacLaren Street, Ottawa. When the diplomatic mission was still in the form of a legation office in 1952, it was located on Aylmer Road, Aylmer, Quebec.The first Indonesian ambassador to Canada was Ali Sastroamidjojo (1953–1954). The current ambassador is Daniel Tumpal Sumurung Simanjuntak.

The Jean Talon Building is a federal government office building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It forms part of the complex of three buildings, including the R. H. Coats Building and the Main Building, that houses the headquarters of Statistics Canada. Jean Talon was also the first intendant of the New France project Initially just named Census Building, it was renamed in honour of Jean Talon, the Intendant of New France who conducted the first census of what is now Canadian territory. The 13 storey Jean Talon Building was built in 1979 to accommodate census staff and to store paper, supplies and equipment needed to conduct Statistics Canada's surveys. The interior is graced with the Great Canadian Equalizer mural by artist Jerry Grey. The building is located at 170 Tunney's Pasture Driveway, K1A 0T6, in the Tunney's Pasture area of Ottawa. Because of its large footprint, the Jean Talon Building has the largest gross floor area of all buildings in Tunney's Pasture.

The Main Building, or Main Statistics Canada Building, is a four-storey federal government office building located in the Tunney's Pasture area of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is connected on the north side by the Jean Talon Building and on the south side by the R. H. Coats Building. Most of its 1,700 occupants work for Statistics Canada. Other tenants include Health Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada, and SNC-Lavalin. The building was completed in 1952 to accommodate the growing staff of the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. At that time the Main Building was only one of two buildings in Tunney’s Pasture - the other being a heating plant. In recent years, the building has experienced structural and environmental problems such as water leakage and power failures.

Lemieux Island (French: Île Lemieux) is a small island in the middle of the Ottawa River at the edge of Nepean Bay in the National Capital Region of Canada. The island lies between Gatineau, Quebec, and the national capital, Ottawa, Ontario. Administratively being a part of the latter, it is crossed by the Chief William Commanda Bridge and serves a site for the water filtration plant.The island also features a dog park.

Tunney's Pasture is a 49-hectare (121-acre) campus in the Canadian capital of Ottawa, Ontario, that is exclusively developed for federal government buildings. It is bordered by Scott Street to the south, Parkdale Avenue to the east, the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway to the north, and the Champlain Park neighbourhood to the west. While strictly speaking it is confined to this area, people living in the vicinity of it will often call the wider neighbourhood Tunney's Pasture. The complex is served by Tunney's Pasture station, a stop on the Transitway bus rapid transit system and the western terminus on the Confederation Line of Ottawa's O-Train light rail system.

The R.H. Coats Building is a government office building located in the Tunney's Pasture government office complex in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is situated near the intersection of Holland Avenue and Scott Street, beside Tunney's Pasture Station. Named after Canada's first Dominion Statistician, Robert H. Coats (1874-1960), the R.H. Coats Building was completed in 1976 by the architectural firm Ogilvie and Hogg. It is 26 stories and 99 m in height, making it the tallest tower in Tunney's Pasture. Peregrine falcons are sometimes sighted on the top of this building. It houses Statistics Canada offices and a branch of the Alterna Savings credit union, formerly the CS CO-OP.

Protection of the Holy Virgin Memorial Church is a Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) church in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Designed by Ottawa architect George M. Moiseyev, who was also project architect for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, the church is located at 99 Stonehurst Avenue in the Mechanicsville area of Ottawa. It is part of the Montreal and Canada Diocese of ROCOR.

The Chief William Commanda Bridge (French: Pont Chef-William-Commanda), formerly the Prince of Wales Bridge, is a disused rail bridge in Canada, which spans the Ottawa River between Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. It connected with the Bytown and Prescott Railway line just west of Lebreton Flats, and crosses the south channel of the river to Lemieux Island at the edge of Nepean Bay; it then continues across the northern channel into Quebec. Operated by the Canadian Pacific Railway for most of its history, it was bought by the City of Ottawa in 2005. Plans to incorporate it as part of an interprovincial public transportation link fell through and it is currently being renovated as a multi-use bridge. It is a multi-span Pratt truss bridge, consisting of six equal spans over the south channel, and seven spans over the north channel; the second-last span, proceeding northward, is longer by a factor of about 1.7.

Tunney's Pasture is the western O-Train light rail terminal train station in Ottawa, Ontario.

Nepean Bay, is a bay in the Ottawa River in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located between Lemieux Island and the Prince of Wales Bridge on the west and LeBreton Flats on the east.

The Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC) is a professional theatre company based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It was established in 1975 by a group of professors and graduate students at Carleton University. Riding a wave of cultural nationalism, founders Robin Mathews, Larry McDonald, Bill Law, Greg Reid and Lois Shannon envisioned a theatre company that would produce only Canadian plays, especially those with social and political relevance. Driven by a dream to place Canadian stories and Canadian history front and centre in our country’s universities and theatres, the company launched its first production in August 1975.The group has its origins in a season of Canadian theatre produced by the Sock 'n' Buskin Theatre Company at Carleton University. From Carleton, the company moved to a converted firehall in Ottawa South (presently the Ottawa South Community Centre) and then, in 1982, to the Gladstone Theatre on Gladstone Avenue. The Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre, which includes a 262-seat Mainstage theatre, a flexible black box studio theatre, and two spacious lobbies, has allowed GCTC to expand its community-based activities. More than 35,000 people visit the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre every year to see productions by GCTC and other live performing arts companies, for concerts such as the Acoustic Waves music series, to visit the Lorraine Fritzi Yale Art Gallery, rent the facility, or to enjoy local homemade fare at the Viva Loca Café. The September 2007 issue of (Cult)ure Magazine described the GCTC as "Ottawa’s pre-eminent promoter of Canadian theatrical content." In 2004, GCTC announced that the family of the late Irving Greenberg was donating $2.5 million towards the construction of a new home for GCTC at the corner of Holland and Wellington. Construction of the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre began in the fall of 2005. In the summer of 2007, GCTC moved to the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre and launched a new era in the company’s history.
