Baltimore National Heritage Area is a federally designated National Heritage Area encompassing portions of Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. The designated area includes the central portion of the city, waterfront, inner neighborhoods and portions of the city's park system. The district includes Fort McHenry and the Inner Harbor, as well as portions of the Charles Street, Falls Road, National Historic Seaport and Star Spangled Banner Maryland Scenic Byways. The Baltimore National Heritage Area was established on March 30, 2009, by the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009 (Pub. L.Tooltip Public Law (United States) 111–11 (text) (PDF)§7002). The designation recognizes the area's unique historic and cultural character, and is intended to stimulate economic development, tourism and historic preservation.Neighborhoods in the NHA include Little Italy, Fell's Point, Canton, Bolton Hill, Seton Hill, Mount Vernon, Charles Village, Union Square, Locust Point and Federal Hill. City parks within the NHA include Druid Hill Park, Gwynns Falls Leakin Park, Carroll Park and Patterson Park.

Lawrence House was an American social settlement in Baltimore, Maryland. Its beginnings were in 1893, when Rev. Dr. Edward A. Lawrence and a friend took up lodging at 214 Parkin Street. Lawrence died suddenly later in 1893, and in his memory, the Lawrence Memorial Association organized in 1894 and purchased a house at 816 West Lombard Street. The settlement incorporated in the Fall of 1900. In 1904, the place was enlarged by the addition of the adjoining house, 814 West Lombard Street.

Old Saint Paul's Cemetery is a cemetery located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is noted for the several important historical figures that are interred in its grounds.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Lithuanian Hall (Lithuanian: Lietuvių Namai), also known as Lith Hall, is the home of the Lithuanian Hall Association. It is a private club located on Hollins Street in the Hollins Market neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland and serves as a recreation center and meeting house for social events, including dance nights, musical events, community suppers and cultural events. The hall was founded to serve the needs of the Lithuanian community in Baltimore, Maryland. The hall is popular with artists and hipsters.

Lion Brothers Company Building (also referred to as the Globe building) is a historic factory located at 875 Hollins St, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. It is a multi-level building that once housed the operations of the Lion Brothers embroidery company. The original building was constructed in 1885 and expanded several times over the subsequent 75 years. In 1958 the Lion Brothers moved their production facility to another location allowing Marcus & Farber and Globe Screen Printing to move in. The building has been vacant since 2002 and Cross Street Partners has plans to restore the building as a local innovation center.

Gandy Belting Company Building is a historic loft building located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a brick masonry bearing-wall structure built in five sections. The sections built in 1888, 1890, and 1908 are four stories in height. The remaining two sections, built in 1908-1911 and 1911 respectively, are five stories in height. Old Pine Street Station, also known as the Old Western District Police Station House, is a historic police station located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a freestanding brick building of two stories raised on a partially exposed basement in the quintessential brick Victorian Gothic style. It was constructed 1877–78.The station was to be torn down to make way for a highway, but was saved through the efforts of preservationists and the demise of the highway project. The building is now used as a police station for the University of Maryland, Baltimore Police.Old Pine Street Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The University of Maryland School of Medicine (abbreviated UMSOM), located in Baltimore City, Maryland, U.S., is the medical school of the University of Maryland, Baltimore and is affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical Center and Medical System. Established in 1807 as the College of Medicine of Maryland, it is the first public and the fifth oldest medical school in the United States. UMB SOM's campus includes Davidge Hall, which was built in 1812, and is the oldest building in continuous use for medical education in the Northern Hemisphere.In addition to an MDTooltip Doctor of Medicine degree, the UMB SOM offers PhD programs through the Graduate Program in Life Sciences. Barre Circle is a small neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is often considered to be a part of Pigtown. Most of the neighborhood's historic homes range from 1840 to 1890, with many populated by graduate students at the nearby University of Maryland's Baltimore campus. It is walking distance to the Inner Harbor and the MARC Train's Camden Station.According to the LiveBaltimore website, Barre Circle is frequently referred to as "Little Georgetown." It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Pascault Row is a national historic district in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It was built by Louis Pascault, Marquis de Poleon and consists of a range of eight 3+1⁄2-story dwellings. It is Baltimore's last remaining example of early-19th-century townhouses, and illustrates the transition between the Federal and the early Greek Revival periods. They are attributed to William F. Small, at that time employed in the architectural office of Benjamin Henry Latrobe.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

St. Peter the Apostle Church was a Roman Catholic church located within the Archdiocese of Baltimore in Baltimore, Maryland. Constructed at the northwest corner of Hollins and South Poppleton Streets (848 Hollins) and (11-13 South Poppleton), it was often referred to as "The Mother Church of West Baltimore."

The Walter P. Carter Center was a psychiatric hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.It was founded in 1976 and ceased operating as a hospital on October 1, 2009. The facility was named in memory of the Baltimore civil rights leader, Walter P. Carter and it was considered to be a national model of community-based psychiatric treatment when it opened. At one time the center provided both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to adults and adolescents. It also ran an urgent care psychiatric evaluation walk-in department and a brief-stay emergency treatment unit. Other services that were offered at the Carter Center were outpatient chemical dependency treatment and residential services for the intellectually disabled. The Carter Center was operated by the State of Maryland. The Walter P. Carter Center is now an outpatient facility that is part of the University of Maryland Medical System. Located at 701 West Pratt Street in Baltimore, it offers outpatient mental health and addiction services in one location to all ages, including children, adults and the elderly.
