Prospect Heights High School

Brooklyn Academy of Science and the Environment, or BASE, is one of four public high schools in the Prospect Heights Educational Campus (formerly Prospect Heights High School). BASE was established in 2003: a partnership among the Prospect Park Alliance, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and environmentalist and journalist Ibrahim Abdul-Matin. Students participate in "field studies" at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, complementing classroom education about science, nature, and the environment.

Clara Barton High School for Health Professions is a public high school in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York City, that teaches from 9th - 12th grade. It is located at 901 Classon Avenue, across from the Brooklyn Museum and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. The school is named for Clara Barton, an American teacher, nurse, and humanitarian. Like all New York City public schools, Clara Barton High School is operated by the New York City Department of Education. Clara Barton High School for Health Professions has an array of health profession programs including: Licensed Practical Nursing, Medical Assisting, Nursing Assisting, Dental Lab, Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Assisting, and EMT. Up until the 1990s, all students joined a health profession. Now you don't have to pick a health career, but are encouraged to do so. Clara Barton High School for Health Professions has a wonderful Clinical Program, which allows seniors in certain health careers to work in a hospital for half their day or work a week and go to school for a week. Students can graduate as a licensed practical nurse and get a job in a hospital after graduation. They also can be certified to work in any of the other majors upon graduation. Many accelerated courses are offered, through the Gateway Honors Program, including advanced placement courses such as A.P. Biology, A.P. English, and A.P. United States History. Gateway offers rigorous course instruction to prepare for college.

International High School at Prospect Heights is one of four schools on the former Prospect Heights High School campus in Brooklyn, New York. An Empowerment School, International High addresses the needs of recent immigrant students by teaching them fluency in reading, writing and speaking. The International High School at Prospect Heights opened its doors to its first class in 2004, under the leadership of Alexandra Anormaliza.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is a botanical garden in the borough of Brooklyn, New York City. It was founded in 1910 using land from Mount Prospect Park in central Brooklyn, adjacent to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. The 52-acre (21 ha) garden holds over 14,000 taxa of plants and has nearly a million visitors each year. It includes a number of specialty "gardens within the Garden", plant collections, the Steinhardt Conservatory that houses the C. V. Starr Bonsai Museum, three climate-themed plant pavilions, a white cast-iron-and-glass aquatic plant house, and an art gallery.

The Brooklyn Museum is an art museum located in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. At 560,000 square feet (52,000 m2), the museum is New York City's third largest in physical size and holds an art collection with roughly 500,000 objects. Located near the Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Flatbush, and Park Slope neighborhoods of Brooklyn and founded in 1895, the Beaux-Arts building, designed by McKim, Mead and White, was planned to be the largest art museum in the world. The museum initially struggled to maintain its building and collection, only to be revitalized in the late 20th century, thanks to major renovations. Significant areas of the collection include antiquities, specifically their collection of Egyptian antiquities spanning over 3,000 years. European, African, Oceanic, and Japanese art make for notable antiquities collections as well. American art is heavily represented, starting at the Colonial period. Artists represented in the collection include Mark Rothko, Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell, Winslow Homer, Edgar Degas, Georgia O'Keeffe, and Max Weber. The museum features the Steinberg Family Sculpture Garden, which features salvaged architectural elements from throughout New York City.

The free transfer between the Eastern Parkway and Franklin Avenue shuttle platforms was added in 1999 using a passageway that had existed since October 1928, when the BMT Botanic Garden station opened.

FiveMyles gallery is located in the Crown Heights area of Brooklyn. Founded in 1999, it is a non-profit gallery that exhibits visual and performance art. Its founder/director is Hanne Tierney. FiveMyles was the location for the Crown Heights Film Festival in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021.
