The Whitworth Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Whitworth) was a general hospital on Morning Star Avenue in Grangegorman, Dublin, Ireland.

The Cobblestone is a pub in Smithfield, Dublin, renowned for its live Irish traditional music. The pub has been run by the Mulligan family since 1987. It hosts multiple music sessions a day, and is primarily sustained by the tourist trade. In 2021 it was under threat of closure as part of a redevelopment plan to convert its rear venue room and outside area and surrounding buildings into a nine-storey hotel but Dublin City Council denied the scheme planning permission after public outcry and protest. The protests, which involved John Francis Flynn, Ispíní na hÉireann and over 400 others, caused Gardaí to shut down the quays of the Liffey. Performers and visitors to the pub have included The Chieftans, Mary Black with Steve Martin supporting on banjo, comic Billy Connolly, chef Anthony Bourdain, actor Jon Voight and musician Manu Chao. The Guardian named The Cobblestone as "Ireland's most famous traditional music pub" in 2021. Condé Nast Traveller described its sessions as "some of the best live traditional music you’ll hear anywhere". In 2023, the pub was the subject of an RTÉ documentary, Athbhaile. Later that year, it was featured in The New York Times's coverage of the sessions held in the wake of Shane MacGowan's death. In 2024, the pub was featured in Mega Dreoilín, a videogame art exhibition depicting the city's gentrifiction.

Originally one of the six main Dublin Whiskeys at the Jameson Distillery Bow St., Jameson is now distilled at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is by far the best-selling Irish whiskey in the world; in 2019, annual sales passed 8 million cases. It has been sold internationally since the early 19th century, and is available to buy in over 130 countries.

Jameson Distillery Bow St. (informally the Jameson Distillery) is an Irish whiskey tourist attraction located just off Smithfield Square in Dublin, Ireland. Jameson Distillery Bow St. is the original site where Jameson Irish Whiskey was distilled until 1971. It is now a visitors centre that provides guided tours, tutored whiskey tastings, JJs bar and a gift shop.

The Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting (known simply as Bow Street) previously known as The Factory, Bow Street, is a film and television acting academy in Dublin, Ireland. It has facilities in Bow Street, Smithfield, having moved from premises in the docklands in 2015. It runs full and part-time courses as well as a Young Screen actors course.

Smithfield (Irish: Margadh na Feirme, meaning 'Farm Market') is an area on the Northside of Dublin. Its focal point is a public square, formerly an open market, now officially called Smithfield Plaza, but known locally as Smithfield Square or Smithfield Market. Notable landmarks include the Old Jameson Whiskey Distillery and the Observation Tower. Notable businesses include the children's animation studio Brown Bag Films. Historically, Smithfield was a suburb of Oxmantown and lay within the civil parish of St. Paul's. There is no general agreement on the extent of the area known as Smithfield, but it roughly incorporates the area bounded by the River Liffey to the south, Bow Street to the east, Queen Street to the west, and North Brunswick street in the suburb of Grangegorman to the north.

St. Michan's Church is a Church of Ireland church located in Church Street, Dublin, Ireland. The first Christian chapel on this site dated from 1095, and operated as a Catholic church until the Reformation. The current church dates from 1686, and has served Church of Ireland parishioners in Dublin for more than 300 years. The church is known for its vaults, which contain a number of 'mummified' remains.

The Light House Cinema is an art cinema with 614 seats across four screens in Dublin, Ireland, which also serves as one of the venues for the Dublin International Film Festival. From 1988–1996, the original Light House Cinema was located in an art-deco venue on Middle Abbey Street. A new government-funded cinema was built and opened in Smithfield, Dublin in 2008. It briefly closed in 2011 following the Dublin property crash, but the property was taken over National Asset Management Agency (NAMA). In 2012, the cinema was taken over by Element Pictures and reopened. It has since become successful and popular with locals, thanks to its more eclectic mix of films including art-house and Hollywood blockbusters, as well as regular classic screenings. The cinema also hosts quiz nights, book clubs, specially-hosted cult film screenings, and a cinema music festival called 'One Two One Two Music Festival'.Screen 1 holds an audience of 277; Screen 2 holds 153; Screen 3 holds 116; and Screen 4 holds 68.

The Hungry Tree is a tree in the grounds of the King's Inns in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. An otherwise unremarkable specimen of the London plane, it has become known for having partially consumed a nearby park bench. It has become a tourist attraction and is frequently photographed. The Hungry Tree was the subject of a campaign by Green Party politician Ciarán Cuffe to ensure its preservation.

Smithfield (Irish: Margadh na Feirme) is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The Red Line runs east to west along Phoenix Street, and the Four Courts stop is located to on a section of road closed completely to other traffic, to the side of Smithfield plaza, a large open square previously used as a market. It also provides access to the Old Jameson Distillery and Light House Cinema. It has two edge platforms integrated into the pavement. The stop connects with a number of Dublin Bus routes.

The Courts Service is the national council of the judiciary of Ireland. It is a statutory corporation which provides administration and support services to the Courts of the Republic of Ireland. It was established in 1999 by the Courts Service Act 1998. Its head office is at Phoenix House, Smithfield, Dublin.
