Wentworth Avenue station

South Beach was a station on the demolished South Beach Branch of the Staten Island Railway. It had two tracks and two side platforms, and was located at Sand Lane and Oceanside Avenue. This station was the last stop on the South Beach Branch until the opening of the Wentworth Avenue in 1925, when the South Beach Branch was electrified. The ticket agent at South Beach controlled the lights for Wentworth Avenue. This station was abandoned when the SIRT discontinued passenger service on the entire South Beach Branch at midnight on March 31, 1953, because of city-operated bus competition.

South Beach is a neighborhood on the East Shore of Staten Island, New York City, situated directly south of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge. South Beach is patrolled by the 122nd Precinct of the New York City Police Department.

Cedar Avenue was a station on the demolished South Beach Branch of the Staten Island Railway. It had two tracks and two side platforms and was located at Cedar Avenue and Railroad Avenue. It opened in 1931, and closed in 1953.

Father Capodanno Boulevard, formerly Seaside Boulevard, is the primary north-south artery that runs through the Arrochar, South Beach, Ocean Breeze, Midland Beach, and New Dorp Beach neighborhoods of the New York City borough of Staten Island. The boulevard runs parallel to the South Beach Boardwalk and its public park.

Arrochar (uh-row-shr) is a neighborhood in northeastern Staten Island in New York City in the United States. It is located directly inland of Fort Wadsworth and South Beach, on the east side of Hylan Boulevard south of the Staten Island Expressway; the community of Grasmere borders it on the west. It is today primarily a neighborhood of one- and two-family homes and small businesses.

The South Beach–Franklin Delano Roosevelt Boardwalk, alternately referred to as the FDR Boardwalk or the South Beach Boardwalk, is a boardwalk facing the Lower New York Bay on the East Shore of Staten Island, one of the five boroughs of New York City. The boardwalk is the main feature of a public park that stretches from Fort Wadsworth and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to Miller Field, both part of the Gateway National Recreation Area. The park also contains numerous recreational facilities, including a skate park. Originally, the Staten Island shorefront was occupied by multiple amusement parks, which had closed by the 1930s. Construction on the boardwalk started in 1935 and was complete by 1937. Amusements continued to occupy the boardwalk until the late 1950s, when water pollution and other changes started to repel potential visitors. The boardwalk was restored under a multi-million dollar project in the late 1990s. However, it is still relatively lightly used: in 2017, South Beach and Boardwalk saw 334,000 visitors, about 5% of the visitor count at Coney Island.

Arrochar was a station on the demolished South Beach Branch of the Staten Island Railway. It had two side platforms and two tracks and was located at Major Avenue. The station was able to platform two train cars.

Lily Pond Avenue is a relatively short primary artery in the South Beach, Arrochar, Concord, and Shore Acres neighborhoods in the New York City borough of Staten Island.

St. John Villa Academy was a private, Roman Catholic School on Staten Island in New York, New York. Its senior high school was all girls, while the K-8 school was co-ed. The school was located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. St. John Villa Academy, owned and operated by the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, was located on the east shore of Staten Island, in the Arrochar neighborhood, overlooking the Verrazano–Narrows Bridge and Lower New York Bay. It was operated by the Sisters of St. John the Baptist. St. John Villa Academy is located in Staten Island, New York, overlooking the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. The elementary school had grades K-8, while the high school had grades 9–12. Enrollment in St. John Villa Academy was open to girls who have graduated from elementary school and who want a secondary level, college-preparatory education.

Staten Island University Hospital (SIUH) is a member hospital of Northwell Health. It is a major tertiary referral center in Staten Island, New York City. SIUH is a two-campus, 668-bed specialized teaching hospital. Occupying two large campuses, plus a number of community-based health centers and labs, the hospital provides care to the people of Staten Island and the New York metropolitan region.

Old Town is a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Staten Island, located on its East Shore. Old Town was established in August 1661 as part of New Netherland, and was the first permanent European settlement on Staten Island. Originally described as "Oude Dorpe" (old village in Dutch), much of its original territory makes up what is present-day South Beach, with parts of Midland Beach and Dongan Hills. The area was settled by a group of Dutch, Walloon (from what is now southern Belgium and its borders with France) and French Protestants (Huguenots) led by Walloon Pierre Billiou. Present-day Old Town is typically described as the neighborhood bordered by Grasmere to the north, Dongan Hills to the south, South Beach to the east, and Concord to the west. The neighborhood is served by the Old Town station of the Staten Island Railway. Old Town is also served by the S78 and S79 SBS local buses on Hylan Boulevard and the S74, S84, S76 and S86 local buses on Richmond Road. Express bus service is provided by the SIM1 and SIM5 on Hylan Boulevard and the SIM15 on Richmond Road.

The New York Tattoo Museum was a museum located at 203 Old Town Road in Staten Island's Old Town neighborhood above Dozer's shop. It was reported to be the first tattoo museum to open in New York City and housed mannequins displaying tattoo techniques, and other items from Dozer's collection. As of 2014, the museum was reported to have relocated to Medford, New York. and by 2017 it was reported to have closed.
