Fulton Creek is a minor tributary which flows into the North Saskatchewan River. Fulton Creek originates within The Meadows area of Edmonton, Alberta. As with other urban Edmonton waterways, with long stretches running through underground culverts, and water volume managed by other urban land uses and for erosion control, Fulton Creek has been labeled a lost creek.

Concordia Lutheran Seminary is a Lutheran seminary situated on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton, the provincial capital of Alberta, Canada. The seminary is located near the campus of Concordia University of Edmonton.

Concordia University of Edmonton, is a publicly funded independent academic institution in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; accredited under the Alberta Post-secondary Learning Act. Concordia offers arts, science, and management undergraduate degree programs, as well as graduate degree programs in education, information technology, information security, and psychology. Concordia is primarily funded by tuition and private donations and as of the 2022, receives nearly one third of its funding from the government of Alberta.

The William J. Magrath Residence, also known as Magrath Mansion, is a historic home located in Edmonton, Alberta. It was the home of William J. Magrath, an Edmonton real estate magnate, businessman, and unsuccessful mayoral candidate. Built between 1912 and 1913, it was one of the grandest and most expensive homes constructed in Edmonton at the time of its construction. It was designated a Provincial Historic Resource in September 1975 and a Municipal Historic Resource in June 2023.

Concordia High School, originally named Concordia College, and subsequently Concordia College High School until 1997, was created with the purpose of preparing young men to attend the Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Once ordained, they would return to the Canadian Prairies to open up new Lutheran churches. Concordia was established in 1921 with a first class of eighth grade boys. In the 1940s the school became co-ed and became an academic prep school. After World War II the high school continued as a grade nine to twelve program. In 1987 Concordia University College of Alberta was granted degree-granting status. The history and growth of the university is largely owed to the small academic high school that gradually added junior college courses to the high school program until it grew into a full-fledged university college on the same campus, gradually crowding out the original high school program. Many students as a matter of course received their high school diploma and took university courses at Concordia until either graduation or in order to transfer to the University of Alberta. Some of the university faculty as well were previous students or teachers at the high school. In 2000 the high school program was fully detached from the university program. Concordia High School was incorporated as a separate entity with its own board of governors separate from the governance of the university. In 1997 the high school moved to the north edge of campus at 112 Avenue and 73 Street in Edmonton, where it remained for 14 years. In July 2011 Concordia High School moved to 830 Saddleback Road (the former Taylor College and Seminary campus) in the south end of Edmonton. Concordia High School permanently closed on August 20, 2012. The school's board of governors issued a statement that they had been informed in an unanticipated development that the facility lease would not be renewed, and that they had been unable to find an alternative facility for dormitory and classroom space; however, the landlord company stated that the school had defaulted on its lease in January 2012, and the lease was later terminated when the school informed the landlord that they were insolvent and would not open for the 2012–13 school year.

Highlands is a residential neighbourhood in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley. The area was annexed by Edmonton in 1912, and "was named in a contest offering a 50-dollar prize." In 2012, Highlands was ranked one of Canada's top ten neighbourhoods of old homes by the magazine This Old House. The neighbourhood is bounded on the north by Montrose and Newton at 118 (Alberta) Avenue, on the east by Beverly Heights at 50 Street, on the west by Bellevue at 67 Street, and on the south by the North Saskatchewan River valley. Interchanges between Wayne Gretzky Drive and both 118 Avenue and 112 Avenue give residents access to destinations south of the river including Whyte Avenue and the University of Alberta. Residents also have access to Northlands, the (former) Coliseum, Commonwealth Stadium and Concordia University of Edmonton. All four facilities are located a short distance west of the neighbourhood. The community is represented by the Highlands Community League, established in 1921, which maintains a community hall, outdoor rink, and a lawn bowling club located at 61 Street and 113 Avenue.

Borden Park is a public park in Edmonton, Alberta. It is situated between the neighborhoods of Virginia Park to the south, Cromdale to the west, and Highlands to the east across Wayne Gretzky Drive.

Edmonton East (formerly known as Edmonton Centre-East) was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1917 to 2015. The district included a portion of the city of Edmonton.

Edmonton East stylized as Edmonton (East) was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1917 to 1921.The district was created in 1917, out of the Edmonton District. In 1921, the district was merged with Edmonton South and Edmonton West to form the second incarnation of the Edmonton District. Such occurrence is still a controversy in the area.

Edmonton Northlands, operating as Northlands, was a non-profit volunteer organization in Edmonton, Alberta. The organization owned exhibition grounds in northeast Edmonton collectively known as the Edmonton Northlands, which included venues such as the Northlands Park raceway, the Edmonton Expo Centre, and Rexall Place–the former home of the Edmonton Oilers. The organization also hosted the annual exhibition K-Days, and the agricultural show Farmfair International. Northlands began to decline in the 2010s after the construction of a new downtown arena—Rogers Place—which is operated by the Oilers, and took on most of the major indoor events that had previously been held at Rexall Place. The organization had also taken out a $48 million loan to cover a recent expansion of the Expo Centre. After a failed proposal to redevelop Northlands Park, Rexall Place, and add a 5,000-seat arena to the Expo Centre, Northlands transferred the Expo Centre (via Edmonton Economic Development Corporation) and Rexall Place to the city (which forgave its debt in return) on January 1, 2018, leaving it to focus on its exhibitions. Amid further economic issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Northlands was dissolved on July 5, 2021.

Rat Creek is a tributary to the North Saskatchewan River. Rat Creek was once part of a much larger system which formerly almost connected to the Sturgeon River. However, Rat Creek is now defined as a lost creek, due to the city of Edmonton's encroachment on the surrounding area for urban use. Rat Creek was fed by sloughs that occurred north of Edmonton.

McNally High School is a high school located in the Forest Heights neighborhood in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is operated by the Edmonton Public Schools system. The school is named after former Alberta Deputy Minister of Education and University of Alberta chancellor George Fred McNally.
