Cisternerne

Søndermarken (lit. "The Southern Field") is a park in Frederiksberg on the border to Valby and the Carlsberg area in Copenhagen, Denmark. It shares much of its history with Frederiksberg Gardens from which it is separated only by Roskildevej. Cisternerne—an underground venue for art exhibitions in the former cisterns—are located inside the park.

Frederiksberg Palace (Danish: Frederiksberg Slot) is a Baroque residence, located in Frederiksberg, Denmark, adjacent to the Copenhagen Zoo. It commands an impressive view over Frederiksberg Gardens, originally designed as a palace garden in the Baroque style. Constructed and extended from 1699 to 1735, the palace served as the royal family’s summer residence until the mid-19th century. Since 1869, it has housed the Royal Danish Military Academy.

The Royal Danish Military Academy (Danish: Hærens Officersskole) educates and commissions all officers for the Royal Danish Army. The Military Academy function was initiated in 1713 by request of King Frederick IV on inspiration from the Naval Academy.

Lakajgården (literally "The Lackey Complex") is a complex of early 18th-century buildings located on Roskildevej in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Located adjacent to Frederiksberg Palace, a former royal summer residence, it was originally built as stables, kitchen facilities and residential quarters for lackeys. It is a three-winged complex of low yellow buildings with red tile roofs and white windows and cornices. It has been in use by the Royal Danish Military Academy that now occupies Frederiksberg Palace since 1868. The buildings are listed on the Danish Registry of Protected Buildings and Places. A new riding hall was built on the central courtyard of the complex in the late 19th century and has now been converted into an auditorium. It is not listed.

The Memorial Mound (Danish: Mindehøjen), situated on a slope in Søndermarken, close to Frederiksberg Palace, is a memorial to Danish emigrants in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Copenhagen Zoo (Danish: København Zoo) is a zoological garden in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 1859, it is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and is a member of EAZA. It comprises 11 hectares (27 acres) and is located in the municipality of Frederiksberg, sandwiched between the parks of Frederiksberg Gardens and Søndermarken. With 1,571,331 visitors in 2019 it is the most visited zoo and one of the most visited attractions in Denmark. The zoo is noted for its new Elephant House designed by British architect Sir Norman Foster. The zoo maintains and promotes a number of European breeding programmes.

The Jesus Church (Danish: Jesuskirken) is a church situated just off Valby Langgade in the Valby district of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was commissioned by second-generation Carlsberg brewer Carl Jacobsen and designed by Vilhelm Dahlerup. Noted for its extensive ornamentation and artwork, it is considered to be one of the country's most idiosyncratic and unconventional examples of church architecture. The church was built as a mausoleum for Carl Jacobsen and his family and is located close to their former house as well as the former Carlsberg brewery site. Their sarcophagi lie in the crypt. Throughout the church, there are ornaments and inscriptions associated with the family.

The Carlsberg Research Laboratory is a private scientific research center in Copenhagen, Denmark under the Carlsberg Group. It was founded in 1875 by J. C. Jacobsen, the founder of the Carlsberg brewery, with the purpose of advancing biochemical knowledge, especially relating to brewing. It featured a Department of Chemistry and a Department of Physiology. In 1972, the laboratory was renamed the Carlsberg Research Center and was transferred to the brewery.

Frederiksberg Gardens (Danish: Frederiksberg Have) is one of the largest and most attractive greenspaces in Copenhagen, Denmark. Together with the adjacent Søndermarken it forms a green area of 64 hectares at the western edge of Inner Copenhagen. It is a romantic landscape garden designed in the English style.

The Carl Jacobsen House is the former home of Carl Jacobsen and one of the listed buildings in the Carlsberg area of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Scandinavian School of Brewing (Danish: Den Skandinaviske Bryggerhøjskole I/S) is a private school, established in 1925 by the associations of breweries in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, the Finnish association becoming co-owners in 1933. The Scandinavian School of Brewing educates brewers and brewery technicians and offers a wide range of courses for small and large breweries at home and abroad as well as to private interested in producing good beer and knowledge of beer and food, it is located at Gamle Carlsberg in Copenhagen, Denmark. The school offers a programme in English and receives many students from all over the world. In addition to its staff of regular teachers, 40 external lecturers are affiliated with the school. Courses for microbrewers have been offered since 2006.

Carlsberg Museum, situated next to the former home of Carl Jacobsen in the Carlsberg area of Copenhagen, Denmark, was the first home of his sculpture collection, now on display in the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in the city centre. The building consists of a total of 20 galleries accumulated between 1892 and 1895 through a series of extensions to designs by Vilhelm Dahlerup and Hack Kampmann. It now serves as a venue for conferences, receptions and other events.
