Broad Exchange Building

45 Broad Street is a 68-story, 1,115-foot (340-meter) supertall residential skyscraper being constructed in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City. The building will become Lower Manhattan's tallest residential tower. Excavation started in 2017, but as of 2020, construction is on hold.

The Lee, Higginson & Company Bank Building is a historic bank building located at 41 Broad Street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City. The structure was designed by architects Cross & Cross and built in 1928–1929. It is a 10-story, Classical Revival style, with a top floor penthouse. It features a slightly curved front facade, architectural sculpture by Leo Friedlander, and murals by Griffith B. Coale.: 3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 7, 2006. In 2007, it was designated as a contributing property to the Wall Street Historic District, a NRHP district.

The Continental Bank Building is a 50-story skyscraper at 30 Broad Street in the Financial District of Manhattan, New York City. It was completed in 1932 in the Art Deco style. It is next to the New York Stock Exchange Building.

55 Broad Street is a 30-story building at Broad Street and Beaver Street in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City, U.S. It adjoins 15 William, a skyscraper to the east. The building was constructed from 1964 to 1967. It operated as the headquarters of the trading firm Goldman Sachs from 1967 to 1983. It continued as an office building afterward. In 2023, a redevelopment effort began which is changing the building from commercial space into residential apartments. The project is expected to create 571 apartments and finish around 2025. The building was owned by the Rudin Management Company from 1964 to 2023; the building was taken over by Silverstein Properties and Metro Loft for the redevelopment effort, although Rudin maintains a stake in the project. Ares Real Estate Group has also invested in the redevelopment venture.

The Mills Building was a 10-story structure that stood at 15 Broad Street and Exchange Place in Manhattan, with an L-shaped extension to 35 Wall Street. It wrapped around the J. P. Morgan & Company Building at 23 Wall Street, on the corner of Broad and Wall Streets. George B. Post was the architect of the edifice. D.O. Mills, a San Francisco, California banker, owned the property. Mills built a palatial home in New York City, while maintaining a villa in Millbrae, California.

The Blair Building, also known as the Blair and Company Building, was one of New York City's earliest skyscrapers.

Drexel Burnham Lambert was an American multinational investment bank that was forced into bankruptcy in 1990 due to its involvement in illegal activities in the junk bond market, driven by senior executive Michael Milken. At its height, it was a Bulge Bracket bank, as the fifth-largest investment bank in the United States.The firm had its most profitable fiscal year in 1986, netting $545.5 million—at the time, the most profitable year ever for a Wall Street firm, and equivalent to $1.16 billion in 2021. Milken, who was Drexel's head of high-yield securities, was paid $295 million, the highest salary that an employee in the modern history of the world has ever received. Withal, Milken deemed his salary to be insufficient for his contributions to the bank, and received $550 million the next fiscal year.The firm's aggressive culture led many Drexel employees to stray into unethical, and sometimes illegal, conduct. Milken and his colleagues at the high-yield bond department believed the securities laws hindered the free flow of trade. Eventually, Drexel's excessive ambition led it to abuse the junk bond market and become involved in insider trading. In February 1990, Drexel was forced into Chapter 11 bankruptcy by the chairmen of the New York Federal Reserve and the Securities and Exchange Commission. It was the first Wall Street firm to be forced into bankruptcy since the Great Depression. After Drexel's collapse, Kurt Eichenwald of The New York Times noted that the bank "fueled many of the biggest corporate takeovers of the 1980s."

The Stock Exchange Luncheon Club was a members-only dining club, on the seventh floor of the New York Stock Exchange Building at 11 Wall Street in Manhattan. The club was founded on August 3, 1898, and moved from 70 Broadway to 11 Wall Street when the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) opened its new building in 1903. It closed on April 28, 2006, after more than a century of service.The club had an inaugural membership of 200, with a "long waiting list", when it first opened as the Luncheon Club at 70 Broadway and 15 New Street, Manhattan.Joseph L. Searles III, who became the first African American member of the NYSE when he joined in 1970, said that his "biggest fear...was where would I sit in the luncheon club?". The situation was resolved when Searles was given his own table by the club, and he dined alone for a while.A ladies' restroom was installed in the club as late as 1987, some twenty years after women were first admitted to the NYSE.In 1999, the club had more than 1,400 members, and was lavishly decorated with various animal heads, most shot by members on safari.In August 2001, the Stock Exchange Luncheon Club served as the venue for the presentation of custom-made motorized wheelchairs to 17 quadraplegic in-patients of a local hospital for paralyzed people. A fund-raising event was held by the New York City Police Foundation at the club in November 2003. Following security measures put in place at the NYSE, after the September 11 attacks, the club became less accessible, and this, coupled with the ousting of regular patron Richard Grasso from the head of the NYSE, and a decline in similar local dining clubs, was cited as a factor in the club's demise when it closed in 2006. The space continued to be used for important events for example, the NYSE shareholder vote to merge with Euronext on December 19, 2006.

The Commercial Cable Company Building was an early skyscraper at 22-24 Broad Street Extension in Manhattan, New York City. Built for the Commercial Cable Company, it started construction in 1896 and was completed in 1897. It was designed by Harding & Gooch. Its height was 92.7 m (304 ft) and it was 22 stories tall. The building, like many of its contemporaries, was built in a historicist style, richly decorated. Two domes were designed on top. It stood for half a century and was demolished in 1954. A 27-story modern office building was built in its place.

Broad Street is a north–south street in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City. Originally the Broad Canal in New Amsterdam, it stretches from today's South Street to Wall Street. The canal drew its water from the East River, and was infilled in 1676 after numerous fruit and vegetable vendors made it difficult for boats to enter the canal. Early establishments on Broad Street in the 1600s included the Fraunces Tavern and the Royal Exchange. Later on the area became the center of financial activity, and all smaller buildings in turn were replaced with grand banks and stock exchange buildings. Most of the structures that stand today date from the turn of the 20th century, along with more modern buildings constructed after the 1950s.

Fearless Girl is a bronze sculpture by Kristen Visbal, on Broad Street across from the New York Stock Exchange Building in the Financial District of Manhattan in New York City. The statue was installed on March 7, 2017, in anticipation of International Women's Day the following day. It depicts a 4-foot high (1.2 m) girl promoting female empowerment.Fearless Girl was commissioned by State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), a large asset management company, to advertise for an index fund that comprises gender-diverse companies that have a relatively high percentage of women among their senior leadership. A plaque originally placed below the statue stated: "Know the power of women in leadership. SHE makes a difference," with "SHE" being both a descriptive pronoun and the fund's NASDAQ ticker symbol. The statue was first installed at the northern tip of Bowling Green on Broadway, facing down the Charging Bull statue. Following complaints from that statue's sculptor, Arturo Di Modica, it was removed in November 2018 and relocated to its current location the following month. A plaque with footprints was placed on the original site of Fearless Girl.

52 Broadway, formerly known as the Exchange Court Building or Chemical Bank Building, is a high-rise building on Broadway and Exchange Place in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan, New York City. The building was originally built with 12 floors in 1898 by architects Clinton and Russell, but it was gutted and stripped of its entire facade in 1980-1982 by Emery Roth & Sons. It is now 221.5 feet (67.5 m) high with 20 floors.
