Fanore (Irish: Fánóir, Fán Óir, meaning "the golden slope") is a small village in County Clare, on the west coast of Ireland. The area was officially classified as part of the West Clare Gaeltacht, an Irish-speaking community, until 1956.

The Black Head-Poulsallagh Complex (Irish: Coimpléacs Cheann Boirne-Pholl Salach) is a Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation or SAC in County Clare, close to the towns of Ballyvaughan and Lisdoonvarna in County Clare, Ireland. The site has been designated as an SAC for multiple ecological features, such as reefs, semi-natural dry grasslands and limestone pavements.

It is known for the well-preserved L-plan Gleninagh Castle, a 16th-century tower house. The parish also contains the lighthouse on Black Head.

Galway Bay (Irish: Loch Lurgain or Cuan na Gaillimhe) is a bay on the west coast of Ireland, between County Galway in the province of Connacht to the north and the Burren in County Clare in the province of Munster to the south; Galway city is on the northeast side. The bay is about 50 kilometres (30 mi) long and from 10 kilometres (6 mi) to 30 kilometres (20 mi) in breadth. The Aran Islands (Oileáin Árann) are to the west across the entrance and there are numerous small islands within the bay. To the west of Galway, the rocks are granite but to the south they are limestone. The approaches to the bay between the Aran Islands and the mainland are as follows: the North Sound (An Súnda ó Thuaidh) lies between Inishmore and Leitir Mealláin in Connemara; known as Bealach Locha Lurgan in Irish. Gregory's Sound (Súnda Ghríoghóra) lies between Inishmore and Inishmaan; known as Bealach na h-Áite in Irish. Foul Sound (An Súnda Salach) lies between Inishmaan and Inisheer; known as Bealach na Fearbhaighe in Irish. South Sound (An Súnda ó Theas), known as Bealach na Finnise in Irish, lies between Inisheer and County Clare. Galway Bay is famous for its unique traditional sailing craft, the Galway hooker.

Kilmoon (Irish: Cill Mhúine) is a civil parish of County Clare, Ireland, 7 miles (11 km) north of Ennistymon. The parish contains the town of Lisdoonvarna.

Killeany or Kilhenny, Kilheny (Irish: Cill Éinne) is a civil parish in County Clare, Ireland. It lies in the Burren region of the northwest of the county.

Lisdoonvarna (Irish: Lios Dúin Bhearna, meaning "fort of the gapped keep") is a spa town in County Clare in Ireland. The town is famous for its music and festivals. Although the music festival was discontinued in the 1980s, Lisdoonvarna still hosts its annual matchmaking festival each September. The population was 829 at the 2016 census.

Lisdoonvarna/Kilshanny parish is a parish in County Clare and part of the Kilfenora Deanery of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Galway, Kilmacduagh and Kilfenora. The parishes Lisdoonvarna and Kilshanny amalgamated in the 1980s.Current (2021) parish priest is Robert McNamara.The parish is an amalgamation of the mediaeval parishes of Kilmoon, Killeany, Killilagh and Owghtory.The main church of the parish is the Church of Corpus Christi in Lisdoonvarna, built in 1868. The second church of the parish is the Church of St. Augustine in Kilshanny. This church was blessed in 1894 by bishop Francis McCormack. This is a descendant of the earlier abbey by the Canons Regular of St. Augustine founded in 1189. Third church is the Church of our Lady of Lourdes in Toovaghera. This church is built in 1878. The coastal village Doolin has a church built in 1821 named the Church of the Holy Rosary.

Ailladie (Irish: Aill an Daill, lit. 'Blind Man's Cliff'; also known locally as the Ballyreen Cliffs), is an 800-metre-long (2,600 ft) west-facing limestone sea cliff, that varies in height from 8 metres (26 ft) to 35 metres (115 ft), situated on the coast of The Burren in County Clare, Ireland. Ailladie is one of Ireland's most highly regarded rock-climbing locations, particularly for high technical grade single pitch traditional climbing routes and deep-water soloing routes. It is also a location for shore-angling competitions, and, with its cliffs and view of the Aran Islands, is a popular photography stop for tourists.
