Stirton, Ontario

Drayton is a community in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada. It is a part of the township of Mapleton. The village is on the corner of Wellington Road 8 and Wellington Road 11, geographically northwest of Fergus and southwest of Arthur.

Conestogo Lake is an artificial lake on the Conestogo River in Wellington County in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is a reservoir with a flood control dam, and covers approximately 628 ha (1550 acres). 398 cottage lots are located around the lake. Fishing is permitted in the lake and the catch may include: perch, walleye, crappie, and smallmouth bass. A recreational fishing licence is required to legally fish in Ontario.

The Queen's Bush was an area of what is now Southwestern Ontario, between Waterloo County and Lake Huron, that was set aside as clergy reserves by the colonial government. It is known as the location of communities established by Black settlers, many formerly enslaved in the United States, in what would become Canada. Established in 1820 and known as the Queen's Bush Settlement, the community grew to more than 2,000. In the early 1840s, the land on which they lived was surveyed for future sale. Following the survey, many of the Black residents were unable to pay for the land and migrated out of Queen's Bush.

Floradale is an unincorporated rural community in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is part of the township of Woolwich in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo. The community is located 5 kilometres (3 miles) to the north of the town of Elmira, Ontario and 20 kilometres (12 miles) to the north of the city of Waterloo, Ontario. Canagagigue Creek, a tributary of the Grand River, flows through the village. The community is located in an area where there is an historically large settlement of Old Order Mennonites noted for their traditional customs, dress, and use of horse and buggies.

North Woolwich is an unincorporated rural community in Woolwich Township, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Elmira Airport (TC LID: CNT6) is located 2 nautical miles (3.7 km; 2.3 mi) southwest of Elmira, Ontario, Canada. CNT6 is the original Elmira, Ontario airport. It is located in the middle of Mennonite country with Old Order Mennonites, and the fields to the north and south of the airport are often plowed using horses. When expedient, the farmers contract with others who have tractors, and then the fields are plowed with tractors (e.g. spring of 2011 was very wet and so using tractors when the fields were dry allowed the crops to be planted more quickly). For many years the Guelph Gliding and Soaring Association operated from this location but in 2008, their membership dropped off and with increased expenses, they ended the operation. A windstorm in the spring of 2008 destroyed many of their sailplanes that were tied up on the field, further hitting the assets of the club. One of the members' planes was in a trailer that was not tied down and the trailer ended up being blown over the fence into the neighboring farmer's field. CNT6 is the home of C-GHQU, the SeaBeast, a converted Republic RC3 Seabee. As a Seabee, C-GHQU first flew in 1947. As the SeaBeast, C-GHQU first flew in May 2011.

Carthage is a community in the Township of Perth East, Perth County, Ontario, Canada. It lies 12 kilometres (7 mi) north of Milverton on Perth County Road 119 at 83rd Line. Tralee is the nearest community, 2.7 kilometres (1.7 mi) north, Burns is 3.4 kilometres (2.1 mi) south, and Hesson is 5.6 kilometres (3.5 mi) east. Smith Creek passes through the community.
