Björkudden

Östersundom (previously known in Finnish as Itäsalmi) is a subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland, near to the border of Sipoo. The area previously belonged to the municipality of Sipoo, but it was annexed to Helsinki on January 1, 2009 as part of the Southwest Sipoo Association (Finnish: Lounais-Sipoon osakuntaliitos), although the municipality of Sipoo opposed the idea.Östersundom Manor and its side manor Björkudden, where Zachris Topelius lived for the last years, are located in Östersundom.

Landbo is a neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland.

Ultuna is a subdistrict of Helsinki, Finland. It comprises the Porvoo motorway on the north side of the Sipoo to Helsinki. In early 2009 Östersundom connected to the basic circuit. Ultuna is divided into two sections, which are Landbo and Puroniitty.

Puroniitty (Finnish), Bäckängen (Swedish) is a neighborhood of Helsinki, Finland. It is the easternmost and northernmost part of Helsinki and belongs to the Östersundom district. Prior to 2009, Puroniitty belonged to Sipoo. At the turn of the year 2008/2009, 220 people lived in Puroniity

Vuosaari shipyard was a shipyard located in the district of Vuosaari in Helsinki, Finland. Built by the Finnish state-owned company Valmet Oy in the early 1970s, the shipyard delivered 33 newbuildings and participated in building around 100 other vessels before it was closed in 1987 following the bankruptcy of Wärtsilä Marine. Later, the longest dry dock in Finland was used by various ship repair companies until the construction of the new Vuosaari harbour cut the connection to the sea in 2004. Despite various plans to re-use the old dry dock, now located inside the harbour perimeter, it remained without use until the basin was backfilled in 2015–2016.

Vuosaari Harbour (Vuosaaren satama in Finnish; Nordsjö hamn in Swedish) is a seaport facility in Helsinki, Finland, opened in November 2008. It is also the 19th tallest building in Finland. The harbour, located in the suburb of Vuosaari in East Helsinki, handles goods traffic for the Greater Helsinki region, while passenger services remain in Helsinki city centre. Vuosaari Harbour has assumed the operations of two container harbours, West Harbour in the city centre and Sörnäinen Harbour, and will eventually also replace the oil harbour in Laajasalo. In addition, the railway depot in Pasila currently used by goods transport will be moved northwards. These processes release land for commercial and residential redevelopment. The harbour has a total land area of 150 hectares, including 90 hectares of land reclaimed by filling the sea. There is also a 75-hectare business park next to the harbour. The harbour project also included the extension of Ring III to the new seaport and a new railway line to be used for transporting goods in and out of the harbour. The Vuosaari harbour was built on the site of the former Vuosaari shipyard.

Vuosaarenhuippu is a recreational area in the northern part of Vuosaari in eastern Helsinki. Earlier it was the Vuosaari dumping ground and a place where land masses from construction sites was deposited. Through ecological restoration the area has been turned into a natural-like environment, the scale of which is unprecedented in the history of Helsinki. A large number of both flora and fauna inhabit the area. There are paths connecting the area to the nearby Mustavuori protected area.
