Royal Hospital Kilmainham

Forbidden Fruit is a music festival that has been held annually at the shared grounds between the Irish Museum of Modern Art and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin, Ireland since 2011. It traditionally takes place over the June bank holiday weekend (first weekend of June) and was launched as a city-based alternative to rural camping festivals. The event is known for its urban setting and diverse line-ups in its early years, which featured a mix of indie, hip-hop, electronic, and pop acts. Over time, the festival gradually shifted its focus towards electronic music, becoming a key date on the Irish electronic music calendar. Past performers have included Lorde, Aphex Twin, Justice, Flume, Skepta, Tame Impala, James Blake, and Bon Iver.

The Irish Museum of Modern Art (Irish: Áras Nua-Ealaíne na hÉireann) also known as IMMA, is Ireland's leading national institution for the collection and presentation of modern and contemporary art. Located in Kilmainham, Dublin, the Museum presents a wide variety of art in a changing programme of exhibitions, which regularly includes bodies of work from its own collection and its education and community department. It also aims to create more widespread access to art and artists through its studio and national programmes. The Museum’s mission is to foster within society an awareness, understanding and involvement in the visual arts through policies and programmes which are excellent, innovative and inclusive.

Saddle is a 1993 surrealist sculpture by Irish artist Dorothy Cross. It is in the collection of the Irish Museum of Modern Art having been acquired in 1994. It is created by the combination of found objects - specifically a metal frame, a horse's saddle and an upturned cow's udder. Virgin's Shroud, another work by Cross from 1993, also features cow's udders and is in the collection of the Tate. It was perhaps no surprise to soon come upon the Freudian play of Dorothy Cross’ Saddle...There is something doubly unsettling about udders. On the one hand they remind me of large elongated nipples, which they are, and on the other they have a resemblance of a small thick penis. The Saddle also has a reference to the arse and so, all in all, the piece has a fascinating desire to confuse and unsettle, to engage and perturb.

As of 2019 an as-yet unnamed children's hospital is under construction on the campus of St. James's Hospital in Dublin, Ireland, as a regional secondary and national tertiary centre. Referred to in planning documents simply as the new children's hospital, it is due to combine the services currently provided at Dublin's three tertiary children's hospitals: Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin (formerly Our Lady's Children's Hospital); Children's Health Ireland at Temple Street (formerly Temple Street Children's University Hospital); and Children's Health Ireland at Tallaght (formerly the National Children's Hospital at Tallaght University Hospital). The hospital is planned to be the lead centre in the Children's Health Ireland network, which is proposed to encompass all acute paediatric services in Ireland. In addition to the main hospital at St James's, satellite centres are expected to operate attached to Tallaght Hospital and Connolly Hospital providing local urgent care and outpatient services.

The Foundling Hospital (Irish: Ospidéal Foundling) was a hospital for abandoned children in Dublin, Ireland.

The Liffey Railway Bridge is a rail bridge spanning the River Liffey near Heuston railway station in Dublin in Ireland. It is a wrought iron box truss structure, and joins lines from Heuston Station to Connolly Station through the Phoenix Park Tunnel.Historically used primarily for freight traffic, in November 2016, the bridge and tunnel were reopened to more regular passenger traffic.

The Phoenix Park Tunnel is a railway tunnel in Dublin, Ireland. The tunnel was built in 1877 and begins at the Liffey Railway Bridge near Heuston Station, running underneath the Phoenix Park for 690 metres before re-emerging close to the junction of the Infirmary Road and North Circular Road. It joins with the Sligo line near Glasnevin, before continuing to Dublin Connolly. The tunnel was originally built by the Great Southern and Western Railway company to connect Kingsbridge station to the Dublin Docklands, and primarily used for freight. Historically the line had not been used for regular passenger trains, with most traffic through the tunnel being freight or carriages and engines shunted between Connolly and Heuston for maintenance. It had occasionally been used for special passenger services, including traffic for major Gaelic Athletic Association fixtures.It reopened on 21 November 2016 for regular passenger traffic. These were only weekday peak at launch, with weekday off-peak being added in December 2018. There are currently no scheduled weekend services.

A House of Industry was a workhouse in Dublin, Ireland which existed from its establishment by an act of parliament in 1703, "for the employment and maintaining the poor thereof". From 1729 the House of Industry also incorporated the foundling hospital.

Rialto is a stop on the Luas light-rail tram system in Dublin, Ireland. It opened in 2004 as a stop on the Red Line. The stop is at the southern side of St. James's Hospital, adjacent to James's Walk, near the areas of Rialto and Kilmainham.At this point, the Red Line follows an old canal alignment: The Grand Canal was opened in 1779, running from James's Street near Dublin city centre, through Sallins and further west. In 1796, a branch of the canal was added which took a circular route around the city centre from Suir Road to the current Grand Canal Dock in Ringsend. The original mainline later closed and its alignment lay empty for many years until it was selected as part of the route for the Luas line.The stop is also served by Dublin Bus routes 68, 68a, and 122. Fatima is intended to be a stop on the proposed Luas line to Lucan.

The Wellington Monument (Irish: Leacht Wellington), or sometimes the Wellington Testimonial, is an obelisk located in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland. The testimonial is situated at the southeast end of the Park, overlooking Kilmainham and the River Liffey. The structure is 62 metres (203 ft) tall, making it the largest obelisk in Europe.
