King-Lincoln Bronzeville

St. Mark's Masonic Temple No. 7 of the Prince Hall Free & Accepted Masons is a Masonic temple in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio, associated with the Prince Hall Freemasons. It was added to the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2009. It was listed under the register's Criterion B, for being closely and publicly identified with people who contributed to the cultural, architectural, or historical development of the city, state, or nation. Founding members of the lodge were part of the Underground Railroad network in Central Ohio and the Midwest.The lodge is the oldest Prince Hall Masonic Lodge in Columbus and the fourth-oldest in Ohio.

Second Baptist Church is a Baptist church in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The church has the oldest African-American Baptist congregation in Columbus. It has been recognized as a historic underground railroad site by The Friends of Freedom Society and the Ohio Underground Railroad Association.

The Dr. Lewis M. Early Residence is a historic property in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The house and office were listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1984. The house, built in the late 19th century, is noted for its age and intricate architecture. It is considered historically significant for its place in Columbus's African American culture, as a social club, daycare center, bed-and-breakfast, and as the Garden Manor Cultural Arts Center.

Engine House No. 8, also known as the Twentieth Street Engine House, is a former Columbus Fire Department station in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The building was constructed in 1888, designed in the Romanesque Revival style. The station was decommissioned in 1968. In the 1980s, a supermarket was built around the original structure; today the firehouse and supermarket buildings are used as the Franklin County Department of Job and Family Services' East Opportunity Center.

The Edna is a historic building in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1905 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. The three-story brick building has 8,694 sq ft (807.7 m2). It was associated with the migration of African Americans to northern cities, including then-segregated Columbus. Businesses at the time had to cater to Blacks or whites; this building housed the Fireside Mutual Aid Association, an insurance company for Black residents. The building later housed the African American newspaper the Ohio Sentinel, as well as the Dukes and Duchesses, a private upscale social club for African Americans. The building is now owned by the City of Columbus, which requested proposals for the property from developers in 2009.In 2022, it was announced that the county land bank, the Central Ohio Community Improvement Corporation, will purchase, restore, and move into the building, and use some space in the building to rent to other organizations. The project is estimated to be completed in spring 2023 at a cost of $2.5-3 million.

The Vincent Walters House-Walters Music Academy is a historic house and former music academy in the King-Lincoln Bronzeville neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.The music academy was founded in 1942 by Vincent Rodgers Walters, a graduate of Central High School, Virginia State, and the Ohio State University. Walters operated the music academy at the site for decades.The house, in the historic Black neighborhood of King-Lincoln Bronzeville, is currently owned by Jodi Spencer. Spencer spent years working to save the building, and was involved in its nomination to the National Register.

Cambridge Arms is a historic building in Columbus, Ohio. It was listed as part of the E. Broad St. Multiple Resources Area on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, removed in 1987 due to owner objection, and re-added in 2003. The building is part of the 18th & E. Broad Historic District on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, added to the register in 1988.

The Linus B. Kauffman House is a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was built in 1870 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The Linus B. Kauffman House was built at a time when East Broad Street was a tree-lined avenue featuring the most ornate houses in Columbus; the house reflects the character of the area at the time. The building is also part of the 18th & E. Broad Historic District on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, added to the register in 1988. The house was home to Linus B. Kauffman, vice president of the Kauffman-Lattimer Company, from 1907 to 1931. His widow outlived him, residing there until 1936.

The Heyne-Zimmerman House is a historic house in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The house was built c. 1912 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. The Heyne-Zimmerman House was built at a time when East Broad Street was a tree-lined avenue featuring the most ornate houses in Columbus; the house reflects the character of the area at the time. The building is also part of the 18th & E. Broad Historic District on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, added to the register in 1988. The building was home to Carl G. Heyne, president of the American Cash Register Manufacturing Company, from 1912 to 1914. Charles Zimmerman, manager of Ohio Auto Sales, lived there with his wife from 1918 to the early 1930s. After his death, she continued living there into the early 1940s.

The Shedd-Dunn House was built at a time when East Broad Street was a tree-lined avenue featuring the most ornate houses in Columbus; the house reflects the character of the area at the time. The building is also part of the 18th & E. Broad Historic District on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, added to the register in 1988. The house was built for the Shedd family, who operated an early wholesale grocery. The family lived there until 1912; Eggleston Dunn of the Dunn-Taft Dry Goods Co. subsequently lived there until the early 1940s. The house then became used for commercial purposes, including office space for the architects Tibbals, Crumley and Musson.

The building is also part of the 18th & E. Broad Historic District on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties, added to the register in 1988. The house was home to physician Erwin W. Schueller from its completion until 1924. His wife continued living in the home until the 1940s, after which the building was converted for office use.

S.G. Prentiss, assistant cashier for the Hayden-Clinton National Bank, lived there from 1910 to 1914.
