The Civic Offices is a municipal facility in Dooradoyle, Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland.

The Crescent Shopping Centre is a major shopping centre serving Limerick, Ireland. It is located in Dooradoyle, on the southern outskirts of the city. The complex in its original form was opened in 1973, making it one of the earlier shopping centres to open in Ireland. It has an estimated 100,000 m2 (1,100,000 sq ft) of space, 2,500 free car parking places and 94 shops (including stalls). The shopping centre takes its name from the adjacent Crescent College, whose original building was in The Crescent in the city centre.

Crescent College Comprehensive SJ, formerly known as the College of the Sacred Heart, is a Catholic secondary school located on 40 acres (160,000 m2) of parkland at Dooradoyle, Limerick, Ireland. The college is one of a number of Jesuit schools in Ireland. The 2016 Sunday Times table, of the top performing 400 schools in Ireland, placed Crescent College 24th in terms of provision of graduates to university and tertiary colleges, and ranked Crescent as the 5th best school in Munster. According to the Irish Independent, Crescent has educated executives from two of the top three companies in Ireland: Google's John Herlihy and Microsoft's Paul Rellis.

University Hospital Limerick (Irish: Ospidéal na hOllscoile, Luimneach) is a hospital located in Dooradoyle, Limerick, Ireland. It is managed by UL Hospitals Group.

Mary Immaculate College (Coláiste Mhuire gan Smál), also known as MIC and Mary I, is a College of Education and Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, the university level College of Education and the Liberal Arts is academically linked with the University of Limerick. The college now has a student population of over 5,000 enrolled in undergraduate programmes and a range of postgraduate programmes at Diploma, MA and PhD level. The college has a student retention rate of 95% - one of the highest in Ireland.

Raheen (Irish: An Ráithín, meaning 'small ringfort') is a large suburb of Limerick, Ireland. Initially developed to ease population overspill from the city of Limerick, Raheen is socioeconomically diverse, ranging from older, poor class housing estates to relatively affluent areas.

Laurel Hill Coláiste FCJ (Irish: Coláiste Cnoc na Labhras), formerly known as Laurel Hill Convent, is an all-girls secondary school in Limerick, Ireland where all subjects are taught in Irish (gaelcholáiste).The school has around 400 students and has been ranked the top secondary school in Ireland for six years in a row.

Dolan's is a music and entertainment venue and pub in Limerick, Ireland. Situated on the city's Dock Road, it opened as a music venue in 1994. Inside the building is located three separate venues: Dolan's Warehouse, Upstairs and the Kasbah. The Irish Music Rights Organisation gave Dolans its "Live Music Venue of the Year" award in 2014 and 2015. Dolan's has also hosted professional wrestling events, such as Over the Top Wrestling shows.

Sarsfield Barracks (Irish: Dún an tSáirséalaigh) is an Irish Army Barracks in Limerick city. It houses both Permanent and Reserve Defence Forces of the Irish Defence Forces.

Clayton Hotel Limerick (formerly the Clarion Hotel) is a 17-storey hotel located beside the River Shannon on Steamboat Quay in Limerick. Part of the Dalata Hotel Group, the hotel was built in 2002 at a cost of €20 Million.

The River Shannon (Irish: Abhainn na Sionainne, an tSionainn, an tSionna), at 360.5 km (224 miles) in length, is the longest river in the British Isles It drains the Shannon River Basin, which has an area of 16,865 km2 (6,512 sq mi), - one fifth of the area of the island. The Shannon divides the west of Ireland (principally the province of Connacht) from the east and south (Leinster and most of Munster). (County Clare, being west of the Shannon but part of the province of Munster, is the major exception.) The river represents a major physical barrier between east and west, with fewer than thirty-five crossing-points between Limerick city in the south and the village of Dowra in the north. The river takes its name after Sionna, a Celtic goddess.Known as an important waterway since antiquity, the Shannon first appeared in maps by the Graeco-Egyptian geographer Ptolemy (c. 100 – c. 170 AD). The river flows generally southwards from the Shannon Pot in County Cavan before turning west and emptying into the Atlantic Ocean through the 102.1 km (63.4 mi) long Shannon Estuary. Limerick city stands at the point where the river water meets the sea water of the estuary. The Shannon is tidal east of Limerick as far as the base of the Ardnacrusha dam.

Griffith College Limerick (GCL) (Irish: Coláiste Uí Ghríofa, IPA:[ˈkɔlaːʃtʲəˈiːˈʝɾʲiːfˠə]) is a private college in Limerick city, Ireland. The college was established in 2006 when the Mid West Business Institute was acquired by Griffith College Dublin. The college runs full-time and part-time courses in accountancy, business, law, engineering, computing, and information technology, and has a range of part-time courses available. Originally located in the Old Town Hall, Rutland Street, Limerick, it moved to a newer and larger premises on 31 / 32 Upper William Street, Limerick, in December 2008. The new building was officially opened by the Minister of Defence Willie O'Dea T.D. on 23 January 2009. In 2013 the college moved from Upper William Street to the site of the former HSI Limerick Business School on O Connell Avenue.
