Old Town Bridge (Wayland, Massachusetts)

Wayland station is a former railroad station in Wayland, Massachusetts. Originally operated by the Central Massachusetts Railroad, it was later part of the Boston and Maine Railroad. The MBTA subsidized service at the station beginning in 1965. It was closed in 1971 when service on the Central Mass Branch was terminated due to poor track conditions. Since 1980, The Wayland Depot, a charitable women's consignment craft shop, has operated out of the station, which is now owned by the Town of Wayland. The Wayland Depot's mission includes preservation of the historic station.

Wayland is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The town was founded in 1638, and incorporated in 1780 and was originally part of neighboring Sudbury (incorporated 1639). At the 2020 United States census, the population was 13,943.

The Wayland Center Historic District encompasses the predominantly 19th-century village center of Wayland, Massachusetts. Located at the junction of United States Route 20 and Cochituate Road (Massachusetts Route 27), it includes fifteen well-preserved 19th-century buildings that form one of the best-preserved village centers of that period near Boston. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Bogle-Walker House was a historic house in Sudbury, Massachusetts. The house, built c. 1806, was the centerpiece of a farm that remained in the same family's hands until the 1980s. It was stylistically a Georgian house, showing how 18th century styles persisted into the early 19th century in rural areas. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.The farmland on which the house sat has since been subdivided into house lots and the house itself was dismantled.

The Sudbury Center Historic District is a historic district on Concord and Old Sudbury Roads in Sudbury, Massachusetts. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. In 1976, it included 80 buildings over 193.6 acres (0.783 km2).The Town of Sudbury lists among historically significant buildings in the area the Loring Parsonage (c. 1730) and the First Parish Meetinghouse (1797), as well as several 19th century buildings and the Revolutionary Cemetery. The Hosmer House (1793), standing at the corner of Concord and Old Sudbury Roads is a typical residence of the early 19th century. It includes representations of Mid 19th Century Revival, Late 19th and 20th Century Revivals, and Federal architecture styles.On April 19, 1775, the town's Minutemen mustered at First Parish, known at the time as the West Side meetinghouse. The company, led by Captain John Nixon, fought at the Battles of Lexington and Concord.

WYAJ (97.7 FM, "Over the Edge Radio") was a radio station licensed to serve Sudbury, Massachusetts. The station was last owned by Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School and licensed to the Sudbury Valley Broadcasting Foundation. It aired a high school radio format.Greg Hill, host of the Hill-man Morning Show on WAAF in Boston, got his start in radio on WYAJ when he was hired by student station manager Richard Lyons (host of the Megarock Show and one of the first on-air personalities in 1980). [1] Geoff Scott, former WBZ-FM traffic reporter in Boston and 20-year Northwest radio icon (Afternoons, Rock 94.5 KHTQ & Evenings, Rock106 KEZE Spokane, Washington) also got his start in broadcasting on WYAJ as host of "The Brainmelter Show" (1982-1988).Other 1980s alumni of WYAJ include American music industry executive Gerard Cosloy; future Hüsker Dü manager David Savoy; Vermont Public Radio reporter Amy Kolb Noyes; WENY-TV sportscaster and Emmy award-winning Fox Sports producer Mike Isenberg. Alumni from the 1990s include John Cavooto, well-known comic book writer; Jennifer Schandlemyer, fitness model; and Rob Marco local Boston comic and Internet personality. The station was assigned the WYAJ call letters by the Federal Communications Commission.The station had a very small reach due to WZRM, a much stronger signal from Brockton, Massachusetts, interfering with WYAJ even in some parts of Sudbury. WYAJ is no longer on the air as its license was cancelled on April 4, 2022, due to failing to file a renewal application.

Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School (LSRHS or L-S) is a public regional high school in Sudbury, Massachusetts, with a 99% graduation-rate. The school was founded in 1954, and the building was replaced prior to the 2004–2005 academic year, with additional facilities added in subsequent years.

First Parish of Sudbury refers to both an historic meetinghouse and a Unitarian Universalist congregation in Sudbury, Massachusetts, United States. The meetinghouse was built in 1797 on the site of the first meetinghouse built on the west side on the Sudbury River. The meetinghouse was designed by Captain Thomson and built at a cost of $6,025.93. It was paid for by the Town of Sudbury to be the meetinghouse for both Town Meetings and parish worship. The original meetinghouse on the site, built in 1723, was the first building in the Sudbury Center Historic District. The current meetinghouse is prominent at the center of the district. On April 19, 1775, the town's Minutemen mustered at First Parish, known at the time as the West Side meetinghouse. The company, led by Captain John Nixon, fought at the Battles of Lexington and Concord.The meetinghouse continued to be used for both Town meetings and worship until the Town built it Town House in 1846, 10 years after the separation of Church and State in Sudbury.

Wayland High School is the public high school for the town of Wayland, Massachusetts, United States. During the 2022-2023 school year, there were 824 students enrolled at the high school. Wayland High School is consistently ranked as one of the best schools in the Boston area. In 2023 Boston Magazine ranked WHS as #4 on their list of "Best Public High Schools in Boston".

The Hopestill Bent Tavern is a historic First Period tavern (now a private residence) in Wayland, Massachusetts, United States. The oldest portion of this 2+1⁄2-story building was built on this site c. 1710, and consisted of two rooms with a central chimney. Around 1800 a second First Period structure was moved to the site and attached to the first, giving the building most of its present form. The building is also unusual for the period in that some of its rooms have no fireplace, and that the upstairs exhibits evidence of significant reuse of older building materials, a practice that was generally restricted to the attic or basement. The building exhibits modest Federal styling, in keeping with the c. 1800 alterations. Its builder and first proprietor was Hopestill Bent (1672–1725). Hopestill Bent fought in King William's War (one of the French and Indian Wars). Hopestill Bent was the great-grandfather of Silas Bent Jr. and great-great-grandfather of Charles Bent, the trader and first territorial Governor of New Mexico during the Mexican-American WarThe building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
