North Reading (pronounced, as is with Reading as ( ) is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 15,554 at the 2020 census.

North Reading High School (NRHS) is the public high school serving students in grades 9–12 from the town of North Reading, Massachusetts, United States. It has an enrollment of 812 students as of the 2017-2018 school year with a pupil-teacher ratio of about 12:1. The school has 62 full- and part-time faculty and staff, several of whom are NRHS graduates. The current principal is Anthony J. Loprete; the current assistant principal is Joseph Hehn.NRHS was voted one of the top 50 public high schools in Massachusetts in 2013 and 2015 by U.S. News & World Report. It failed to make the same publication's rankings in 2014.

The John Bickford House is a historic late First Period house in North Reading, Massachusetts. The c. 1735 two-story timber-frame house has relatively conservative First Period features despite its somewhat (comparatively) late construction date, which may be due to John Bickford's strong connections with nearby Salem. Its timber frame and central chimney are conservative in design, but the building also has Georgian paneling on the interior, and, unusual for the period, a gambrel-style roof.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Carroll–Hartshorn House is a historic First Period house at 572 Haverhill Street in Reading, Massachusetts. Built c. 1700, it is one of the oldest buildings in Reading, set on an early route between Wakefield and Haverhill. It has a classic two-story, five-bay, central-chimney plan, with a rear shed extension giving the house a saltbox appearance. Its windows, some still with original surrounds, are narrower and taller than typical for the period. The property was owned by generations of the Hartshorn family.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The house is five bays wide and two deep, with a rear shed-roof extension giving the house a saltbox appearance. An ell was added in the mid-19th century. The main architectural detail is the front door surround, which features sidelight windows and recessed, paneled pilasters supporting a tall entablature.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Jerry Nichols Tavern is a historic house in Reading, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-storey wood-frame structure, five bays wide, with a side gable roof, central chimney, and clapboard siding. The main entrance is flanked by pilasters and topped by an entablature. The oldest portion of the house was built in 1785 by Jeremiah Nichols, a Revolutionary War veteran, farmer, and shoemaker. This property was where Reading's minute companies drilled prior to the American Revolutionary War, and where its powder magazine was kept. The building was expanded 1810–13, and had by 1830 been adapted as a tavern and stage coach stop. In 1824 it was bought by Rev. Peter Sanborn, in whose family it remained into the 1940s.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

This 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1787 by Timothy Hartshorn, a farmer and shoemaker, and remained in his family for over 100 years. It is a vernacular Georgian-Federal style, with five bays and a central chimney. The main entrance is flanked by sidelight windows and fluted pilasters, supporting an entablature with high capitals, but is somewhat obscured by the 19th century porch.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Camp Curtis Guild is a Massachusetts Army National Guard camp located in the towns of Reading, Lynnfield, and Wakefield, Massachusetts. It is named after former Massachusetts governor Curtis Guild, Jr. During World War II the camp was one of the embarkation camps under the command of the Boston Port of Embarkation.
