The school opened in Mississauga in 2001, after spending a year as a holding school in Georgetown. It is a joint venture between the city of Mississauga and the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board. According to the Fraser Institute, it is currently ranked 2nd in the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board behind St. Marcellinus Secondary School, 5th in Mississauga and 32nd out of 623 high schools in Ontario.

John Fraser Secondary School is a public high school (serving grades 9-12) located on Erin Centre Boulevard, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. John Fraser features 2 gymnasiums, a fully equipped fitness center, an auto shop, as well as 12 portables due to increased enrollment over the years. A newly renovated rubberized track was also constructed on the north-western side opposite to the main building in 2019. Sumble Kaukab is the principal as of September 2019. Its cousin school, Judith Nyman Secondary School is a high school in Brampton, Ontario, Canada that offers similar trades courses. West Credit and Judith Nyman are currently the only two vocational schools in the Peel District School Board and offer students more choices in trades courses than most other Peel high schools. West Credit S.S. is aimed at students who want to pursue a career in the trades, or sometimes it is recommended for those with an Individual Education Plan (IEP) at the vocational 1 and 2 level. Both high schools offer vocational and applied level courses. The Meadowvale Town Centre Bus Terminal is the main, inter-regional transit hub for the community of Meadowvale located in northwestern Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is the third-largest terminal served by MiWay, the second-largest in Mississauga after City Centre Transit Terminal. It is situated on the eastern side of Meadowvale Town Centre, which is a community mall. The terminal does not contain a building, partly due to the terminal being located directly beside the mall. Instead, it is composed of a big bus loop with benches and bus shelters surrounding it. MiWay buses lay over in the middle of the bus loop. MiWay tickets and passes can be bought either at Shoppers Drug Mart, which is located within Meadowvale Town Centre; or at the Meadowvale Community Centre, located at the intersection of Glen Erin Drive and Aquitaine Avenue. The nearest GO Transit ticket agency for this terminal is at a branch of Rabba Fine Foods located at the intersection of Derry Road and Glen Erin Drive, just north of the Meadowvale Community Centre.

Meadowvale Community Centre and Library is a library branch under the Mississauga Library System and a community centre located in the Meadowvale neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario. The Meadowvale Community Centre was officially opened in January 1982. The original building was 43,500 square feet, including a pool, fitness centre with racquetball and squash courts, meetings rooms (including a large auditorium) and lobby space.In 2014, the community centre was closed for redevelopment by the City of Mississauga. The redevelopment of Meadowvale Community Centre was a priority for the City with an estimated budget of $37 million (CDN). The demolition and rebuilding of the centre were aimed to improve public accessibility, update mechanical systems, enlarge program space and add a therapeutic pool in response to the changing recreational needs of the community. The redevelopment was also an opportunity to incorporate the Meadowvale Library into this expanding facility.The Meadowvale Community Centre and Library were re-opened in September 2016 after 2 years of construction. It is the City of Mississauga's first Community Centre to pursue a LEED certification (silver).

Erin Mills Town Centre is a shopping mall located in Erin Mills, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, at the corner of Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West. It is the second largest mall in Mississauga, after Square One. The mall can be accessed from the 401, 403, and 407 series highways. Erin Mills Town Centre Bus Terminal is located directly at the back of the mall.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Secondary School is a Catholic separate school in Mississauga, Ontario. It is part of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and is affiliated with the parish of St. John of the Cross. The trustee is Brea Corbet and the principal is Jennifer Varnam. The school has approximately 1,750 students. The school also boasts numerous committees and clubs to encourage extra curricular participation amongst the student body such as the Photography club, Drama club or Student Council. Some clubs have special events within the school such as the Health Club; Pro-Life Club participates in the March for Life in Ottawa, Ontario; and the Comic Book Club writes, draws, and publishes their own comic books.
