Avcılar, Istanbul

Avcılar Merkez Üniversite Kampüsü, or just Avcılar is a station on the Istanbul Metrobus Bus rapid transit line. It is located between the D.100 state highway in Avcılar, Istanbul. The station is the terminus for two of the seven metrobus routes; 34 and 34AS. Avcılar station was opened on 17 September 2007, as part of the original 16 stations of the Istanbul Metrobus system.

Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa (IUC) is a public research university which was formed in Istanbul on 18 May 2018. It takes its name from Cerrah Mehmed Pasha, who gave its name to the Cerrahpaşa, Fatih district in Istanbul. It has nine faculties, six Institutes, one college, five Vocational schools and ten research centers. The rectorate of the university, which has 8 campuses, is located in Avcılar. In addition, the university provides education in two languages, Turkish and English.

Istanbul Gelisim University (Turkish: İstanbul Gelişim Üniversitesi), is a private non-profit university in Istanbul, Turkey. Gelisim Education, Culture, Health, and Social Service Foundation took steps in the direction of establishing a vocational school under the name of "Istanbul Gelisim Vocational School" in 2008.

Ambarlı A power plant or Istanbul Natural Gas Combined Cycle A power plant (Turkish: İstanbul Doğalgaz Kombi̇ne Çevri̇m A Santralı) is a gas-fired power station in İstanbul Province north-western Turkey.

Lake Küçükçekmece (Turkish: Küçükçekmece Gölü) is a lagoon located between the Küçükçekmece, Esenyurt and Avcılar districts of the European portion of Istanbul Province, northwestern Turkey. The lake is neighbored in the south by state road D.100 and in the north by the O-3 motorway (European route E80). The proposed controversial Istanbul Canal is intended to pass through the lake, though the so-called construction of the canal has been in-halt ever since its construction started by ceremony back in 2021.

Mustafa Kemal station (Turkish: Mustafa Kemal istasyonu), known as Soğuksu station until 2013, is a railway station on the Marmaray commuter rail line, in İstanbul, Turkey. It is located in Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Küçükçekmece district. The station is situated on İstasyon Street, east of Lake Küçükçekmece. The station was opened on 4 December 1955 for the start of commuter service between Sirkeci and Halkalı. In 2013, the station was closed down when commuter service was temporarily suspended for the rehabilitation of the railway and its stations. It was demolished and rebuilt with an expected opening date of 2015. However, due to numerous delays, the station did not reopen until 12 March 2019. Soğuksu is located 25.2 km (15.7 mi) from Sirkeci station, and 2.4 km (1.5 mi) from Halkalı station. Soğuksu was closed in 2013 due to the rehabilitation and construction of the new Marmaray line.

Haramidere is a station on the Istanbul Metrobus Bus rapid transit line. It is located on the D.100 state highway, with entrances/exits on both sides of the road. Haramidere station was opened on 19 July 2012 as part of the westward expansion of the line.

The Çekmece Nuclear Research and Training Center (Turkish: Çekmece Nükleer Araştırma ve Eğitim Merkezi), known as ÇNAEM, is the primary nuclear research and training center of Turkey. The organization was established on March 6, 1958 as a subunit of Turkish Atomic Energy Administration (Turkish: Türkiye Atom Enerjisi Kurumu, TAEK) at Küçükçekmece district in the west of Istanbul. The organization's name was coined on August 12, 1960 in conjunction with its location.The groundbreaking of the facility at the eastern shore of Lake Küçükçekmece to house the country's first nuclear research reactor was held in 1959. After completion of the construction and the start of the operation of the research reactor, the official opening of the center took place on May 27, 1962 in the presence of President Cemal Gürsel.The center is directed by Ass. Prof. Dr. Gürsel Karahan.

Halkalı station (Turkish: Halkalı garı) is the westernmost station on the Marmaray line as well as in Istanbul. The station also services regional trains to Edirne, Uzunköprü, Çerkezköy and international trains to Sofia. In summer there may be through trains to Bucharest too; for Belgrade you are likely to have to change several times. Halkalı station is 27.63 km (17.17 mi) from the Istanbul Sirkeci Terminal .

Kapıkule station (Turkish: Kapıkule garı), is the westernmost railway station in Turkey. It is located towards the north of Kapıkule, the frontier town on the Turkey/Bulgaria border. Kapıkule is a border station and the terminus for domestic trains in European Turkey. Only the Bosphorus Express to Bucharest and the Balkan Express to Belgrade continue across the border into Bulgaria. The station is the busier of the 2 operational border stations of the Turkish State Railways in Turkey, the other one being Kapıköy on the border with Iran. Kapıkule station was opened in 1971 as part of the Edirne cut-off to bypass the main line of the former Oriental Railways in the Ottoman Empire. The construction of this line, however, resulted in the abandonment of Edirne's historic Karaağaç railway station, which became first the Rectorate (1998–2011) and later the Faculty of Fine Arts building of Trakya University.
