The Christ the King statue (Portuguese: Cristo Rei) also known as the Sacred Heart statue, is an Art Deco statue of Jesus Christ in Garajau, Madeira.

The Garajau Partial Nature Reserve is a Portuguese marine reserve located on the Funchal Bay offshore Madeira Island. The protected area has existed since 1986. It is a location for snorkelling and scuba-diving. Dive centres exist in the Garajau Reserve. The Garajau reserve is listed on ‘the MPA Global’ a marine-focused database of the world's protected areas that have some intertidal and/or subtidal component.Marine species that can be seen in the Garajau Reserve include dusky groupers (Epinephelus marginatus), moray eels (Muraena helena) and garden eels (Taenioconger longissimus). Hunting and fishing are forbidden within the Madeiran marine reserves. The second marine nature reserve in Madeira is on the north coast of the island: Rocha do Navio.

Camacha (Portuguese pronunciation: [kɐˈmaʃɐ]) is a parish in the municipality of Santa Cruz, on the southeastern part of Madeira Island. It is situated in the mountainous interior of the island, 3 km north of Caniço, 7 km northeast of Funchal and 6 km west of Santa Cruz. The population in 2011 was 7,449, in an area of 19.77 km2. The first organized game of football in Portugal took place in 1875 in Camacha, organized by the Madeira-born Harry Hinton.

São Gonçalo is a freguesia ("civil parish") parish in the municipality of Funchal, located near the south coast of the island of Madeira, in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 6,587, in an area of 7.06 km².

Santo António da Serra is a civil parish in the municipality of Santa Cruz on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The parish is adjacent to another parish in the neighbouring municipality of Machico to the north, which is also named Santo António da Serra. The population in 2011 was 936, in an area of 14.75 km².

Gaula is a Portuguese civil parish, in the municipality of Santa Cruz in the island of Madeira. The population in 2011 was 4,028, in an area of 6.95 km². It is located 7 kilometres (7,000 m) northeast of the island capital of Funchal.

Estádio da Madeira, formerly named Estadio Eng. Rui Alves and informally known as Estádio da Choupana is a football stadium in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal. It is primarily used as the home stadium for C.D. Nacional.The stadium is currently able to hold 5,200 people and was built as a one-stand 2,500 seat stadium in 2000, when Nacional moved in. Previously they played their home games at the local municipal stadium, the Estádio dos Barreiros. The stadium is located within the Cidade Desportiva do C.D. Nacional (English: C.D Nacional Sport City), which also includes training pitches and a youth campus called Cristiano Ronaldo Campus Futebol (English: Cristiano Ronaldo Football Campus), named in honour of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Sport City is located in the north of Funchal, high in the mountains of the Choupana district. In January 2007, after a period of construction costing €20 million, the stadium was expanded to 5,200 by the opening of another stand. The stadium currently has only two all-seated stands which run the entire length of the pitch. The two ends of the field are occupied by tall fencing. On 1 June 2007 the stadium was renamed to Estádio da Madeira after the club reached an agreement with the local government to promote the region. The name also symbolises the fact that the stadium is the most modern sports venue on the island of Madeira, though not the biggest. That position is held by the municipal stadium, the Estádio dos Barreiros, home to Nacional's rivals Marítimo. Also in 2007, the academy campus was also renamed to Cristiano Ronaldo Campus Futebol.

Santa Maria Maior (Portuguese meaning Saint Mary the Great) is a civil parish in the eastern part of the municipality of Funchal on the island of Madeira. The population in 2011 was 13,352, in an area of 4.86 km2.

Santa Cruz (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɐ̃tɐ ˈkɾuʃ] (listen); "Holy Cross") is a municipality, a parish and a city in the eastern part of the island of Madeira. It is the second most populous municipality, behind Funchal. The population in 2011 was 43,005, in an area of 81.50 km².

The Jewish Cemetery of Funchal is a Jewish cemetery located in Rua do Lazareto, Funchal, Madeira. Sephardi Jews as well as Ashkenazi Jews are buried here.

Funchal Bay is a large bay opposite the main city of Funchal on the island of Madeira, located in the North Atlantic Ocean off the west coast of Morocco in north Africa. Funchal has its harbour within the bay. Belmond Reid's Palace is located on the headland at the western end of the bay.

The Quinta da Boa Vista is a historic quinta ('estate') and orchid garden in the Santa Maria Maior parish of Funchal on the island of Madeira, overlooking the central and western parts of Funchal. It contains one of the last remaining walled stair terrace gardens of Funchal and continues to draw its water from the levada irrigation system. It was built some time during the late 18th and early 19th century, appearing on Trigo's 1910 Planta Roteiro Cidade do Funchal 1910 map for the first time.
