Iviswold

The Woman's Club of Rutherford is a women's club started in 1889 in the borough of Rutherford in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. Their clubhouse, also known as Iviswold Stables, is located at 201 Fairview Avenue. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 10, 2017, for its significance in architecture and social history. It met the requirements of the Clubhouses of New Jersey Women's Clubs Multiple Property Submission (MPS).

The Yereance–Kettel House is located in Rutherford, New Jersey. The homestead was nominated for the National Register of Historic Places and determined eligible on January 10, 1983, but was not listed due to owner objection.

Rutherford High School is overseen by the New Jersey Department of Education and has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 1940.As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 738 students and 66.6 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.1:1. There were 17 students (2.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 1 (0.1% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

St. Mary High School is a four-year Roman Catholic high school located in Rutherford, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, operating under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools since 2004.The school was established in September 1929, with instruction provided through the Sisters of St. Dominic of Caldwell, New Jersey. The school's new building opened in September 1932 with 200 students and was formally dedicated in ceremonies held on November 5, 1932.As of the 2019–20 school year, the school had an enrollment of 209 students and 27.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 7.5:1. The school's student body was 43.5% (91) White, 35.9% (75) Hispanic, 10.5% (22) two or more races, 5.3% (11) Black, 4.3% (9) Asian and 0.5% (1) Native Hawaiian / Pacific Islander.

The William Carlos Williams House is located in Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1913 and was the home to poet and physician William Carlos Williams for 50 years. The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 4, 1973. The building is still used as a private residence and doctor's office.

The Williams Center is an arts center and cinema complex located in downtown Rutherford, New Jersey. The center was named after the Pulitzer prize winning poet and physician William Carlos Williams. The building that the center occupies was originally built in the 1920s as a Vaudeville theater known as the Rivoli. The Rivoli soon started showing silent movies and eventually "talkies". The theater enjoyed success until a fire destroyed part of the building in 1977. In 1978 a group of philanthropists started the Williams Center Project which opened the Center in 1982. The center currently has two live theaters, three cinemas, and an open-air meeting gallery. As of 2021, the town of Rutherford sold the center to local real estate developer Native Development.

Rutherford is a New Jersey Transit railroad station served by the Bergen County Line. The station straddles the border between Rutherford and East Rutherford in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The station building and Hoboken Terminal-bound platform is located near a traffic circle at the junction of Park Avenue, Union Avenue, Erie Avenue and Orient Way known as Station Square, with a grade crossing on Park Avenue. The tracks serve as the border between the two municipalities and the Suffern-bound platform and a small parking lot on the same side are actually located in East Rutherford; only the Hoboken-bound platform and a larger commuter lot are located on the Rutherford side.

Carlton Hill station was a railroad station for the Erie Railroad in East Rutherford, New Jersey, United States. Carlton Hill station was the second station along the Erie's main line and the first station after Rutherford Junction, where the Erie's main line forked from the Bergen County Railroad. The station provided service for passengers in Rutherford and East Rutherford's Carlton Hill district and freight billing for the Royce Chemical Company, producer of Royox household cleaner, epoxies and dyes. After Carlton Hill, the main line continued westward to Passaic Park and eastward to Rutherford–East Rutherford and Pavonia Terminal. Carlton Hill Station opened in 1888 on Jackson Avenue and namesake Erie Avenue in Rutherford. The station was served by the main line until 1963, when the Passaic Plan was undertaken, removing tracks at Passaic Park, Passaic, Clifton, and Lake View stations. At that point, the nearby drawbridge was permanently swung open and later removed, leaving a branch to Carlton Hill. For the next few years, Carlton Hill received deadhead trains and a rare Carlton Hill – Rutherford – Hoboken Terminal train schedule. In 1966, when several underused branches, including the Carlton Hill, lost service, the old main line alignment to Carlton Hill was abandoned. The tracks remain, though the building is gone, having been demolished in October 1967.

Rutherford is a borough in Bergen County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 18,834, an increase of 773 (+4.3%) from the 2010 census count of 18,061, which in turn reflected a decline of 49 (−0.3%) from the 18,110 counted in the 2000 census.Rutherford was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on September 21, 1881, from portions of Union Township, based on the results of a referendum held on the previous day. The borough was named for John Rutherfurd, a U.S. Senator who owned land in the area.Rutherford has been called the "Borough of Trees" and "The First Borough of Bergen County", and is known as well for its pedestrian-focused downtown area adjacent to the borough's Bergen Line (New Jersey Transit) railway station.

Rutt's Hut is a restaurant in Clifton, New Jersey known for its deep-fried hot dogs. In addition to the Ripper, customers can also order the dogs 'In-And-Out' style which is only in the hot oil briefly, and the 'Cremator' which is charred black. The original roadside stand was opened in 1928 by Royal "Abe" Rutt and his wife, Anna. The family sold the restaurant to the current owners, George Petropoulakis, Louis Chrisafinis, Nicholas Karagiorgis, and George Sakellaris in late 1974. Today the building is split into three separate sections: a restaurant, a bar, and a take-out counter. The restaurant has been named the #1 Hot Dog in the Nation by The Daily Meal multiple times.

The Kip Homestead is located in Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The homestead was built in 1770 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 10, 1983.
