Nærum

Raadvad, or Rådvad is a former industrial development located on both sides of the Mølleåen river which at this point marks the border between Lyngby-Taarbæk and Rudersdal municipalities in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was built around a watermill in the second half of the 18th century and has given name to a well-known Danish brand of knives and other kitchen equipment. The buildings are now all heritage listed. They include Raadvad Kro from 1861 and a hostel based in a former school from 1894. Other buildings include a centre for building conservation and a local nature school.

Trørød is a suburban district in Rudersdal Municipality, located approximately 20 kilometres north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The original village has merged with the neighbouring communities of Vedbæk and Gammel Holte and now form the southernmost part of the urban agglomeration of Hørsholm. It is on the other sides surrounded by open farmland and the forests Jægersborg Hegn, Kohave Forest and Trørød Forest.

Nærum station is a railway station serving the suburb of Nærum north of Copenhagen in North Zealand, Denmark.Nærum station is the northern terminus of the Nærum railway line from Jægersborg to Nærum. The first Nærum station was opened in 1900 with the opening of the railway line between Kongens Lyngby and Vedbæk. The northern half of the railway line between Nærum and Vedbæk quickly proved unprofitable and was abandoned in 1923. The Nærum end of the line was shortened a bit in 1954 due to the construction of the Helsingør motorway, and Nærum station was moved to its current location. The train services are operated by the railway company Lokaltog which runs frequent local train services from the station to Jægersborg station that connect to the Copenhagen S-train system at Jægersborg.

Skodsborg Station is a regional railway station serving the suburb and seaside resort of Skodsborg, about 20 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The station is located on the Coast Line between Helsingør and Copenhagen. The train services are currently operated by Danish State Railways (DSB) which runs a frequent regional rail service to Copenhagen Central Station. Skodsborg is a quiet residential neighbourhood and the station sees mostly local traffic.

Skodsborg Spa Hotel (Danish: Kurhotel Skodsborg, formerly Skodsborg Kurbad) is a hotel and health resort in Skodsborg, on the Strandvejen coastal road, 15 km north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It was named the Best Luxury Wellness Spa in Europe by the international World Luxury Hotel Awards in 2016.

Nærumbanen is a short railway line in the northern suburbs of Copenhagen which serves mainly local neighborhoods in Kongens Lyngby in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality and Nærum in Rudersdal municipality. It is currently operated by the railway company Lokaltog A/S. Lokaltog runs frequent light trains that connect to the S-train system at Jægersborg.

Skodsborg is a small town/suburb approx. 20 km. north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The town has a population of 1,256 (1 January 2023) and lies in Rudersdal Kommune. The town is a coastal town but doesn't have a marina. The town has good beach access from the Strandvej and from the houses along the shore. A wide beach allows easy access along the coast. The western side of Skodsborg borders the Jægersborg Dyrehave with miles of trails for hiking and cycling. The town is connected with the Oresundtrain and with buses to neighboring communities.

Hjortekær is a neighbourhood in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, in the Region Hovedstaden. It is located north of Fortunen, east of Lundtofte and west of Jægersborg Dyrehave. The Technical University of Denmark has used localities in Hjortekær for surveying education since 1890.

Dyrehaven (Danish 'The Deer Park'), officially Jægersborg Dyrehave, is a forest park north of Copenhagen. It covers around 11 km2 (4.2 sq mi). Dyrehaven is noted for its mixture of huge, ancient oak trees and large populations of red and fallow deer. In July 2015, it was one of the three forests included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed as Par force hunting landscape in North Zealand.All entrances to the park have a characteristic red gate; one of the most popular entrances is Klampenborg gate, close to Klampenborg station. All the entrance gates have an identical gate house attached to them, which serve as the residences of the forest wardens. Dyrehaven is maintained as a natural forest, with the emphasis on the natural development of the woods over commercial forestry. Old trees are felled only if they are a danger to the public. It has herds of about 2100 deer in total, with 300 Red Deer, 1700 Fallow Deer and 100 Sika Deer. Dyrehaven is also the venue for the Hermitage road race (Eremitageløbet) and the yearly Hubertus hunt (Hubertusjagten) which is held on the first Sunday in November. In former times it was home to the Fortunløbet race, later known as Ermelundsløbet, but this race was discontinued in 1960.

Trørød Forest (Danish: Trørød Skov or Trørød Hegn), between Trørød and Vedbæk, is a small forest in Rudersdal Municipality, approximately 20 kilometres north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It adjoins the bog Maglemosen on the north as well as Enrum Forest.

Mølleåen, also Mølleå, sometimes translated as the Millstream, is a small river in North Zealand, Denmark, which runs 36 kilometres (22 mi) from the west of Bastrup Sø near Lynge to the Øresund between Taarbæk and Skodsborg. The valley contains several country houses and a series of mills which initiated Denmark's industrial development.

The Hermitage Hunting Lodge (Danish: Eremitageslottet or Eremitagen) is located in Dyrehaven north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The hunting lodge was built by architect Lauritz de Thurah in Baroque style from 1734 to 1736 for Christian VI of Denmark in order to host royal banquets during royal hunts in Dyrehaven.
