Middletown Township is a township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 15,807 at the 2010 census. The Pennsylvania State University has an undergraduate satellite campus called Penn State Brandywine located in the north-central portion of the township. Located outside of Philadelphia, it constitutes part of the Delaware Valley (i.e. the Philadelphia metro area). Originally established in 1686, Middletown Township adopted a Home Rule Charter in 1978. The township is governed by the council-manager system, a representative form of government in which the seven elected officials set policy for the township and the manager oversees the delivery of all public services and programs.

Williamson College of the Trades (formerly Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades) is a private men's junior vocational college in Middletown Township, near Media, Pennsylvania. The school was founded on December 1, 1888, by Philadelphia merchant and philanthropist Isaiah Vansant Williamson.

Williamson School is an abandoned train station located on Station Drive near New Middletown Road in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania. The station was a stop on the Pennsylvania Railroad's West Chester Line. It later became a part of SEPTA's R3 West Chester. The station, and all of those west of Elwyn, was closed in September 1986, due to deteriorating track conditions and Chester County's desire to expand facilities at Exton station on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale Line. Service was "temporarily suspended" at that time, with substitute bus service provided. Williamson School station still appears in publicly posted tariffs. The original station is located on the grounds of the Williamson College of the Trades, serving primarily students and faculty. SEPTA service to Wawa station does not include an intermediate stop at Williamson School, although the service restoration project provides for construction of a new station if demand warrants.

The Glen Riddle station was a commuter rail station which was located on the SEPTA Regional Rail R3 West Chester Line. Situated underneath the South Pennell Road (PA-452) overpass in Middletown Township, Pennsylvania, it was originally built by the West Chester and Philadelphia Railroad, and later served the Pennsylvania Railroad's West Chester Branch, which finally became SEPTA's R3 line.

The Promenade at Granite Run, formerly known as Granite Run Mall, is a mixed-use development in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, a western suburb of Philadelphia. The mixed use development consists of residential, retail, and entertainment opened in 2018 to replace what was known as the Granite Run Mall, a double-level shopping mall that existed between 1974 and 2015. Two of the original mall tenants, Boscov's and Sears, remained open during the transition.

Glen Riddle is an unincorporated community in Middletown Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Glen Riddle is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Route 452 and Parkmount Road/Glen Riddle Road north of the Chester Creek.

Penncrest High School is a public four-year comprehensive high school in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is a part of the Rose Tree Media School District. The district, and therefore the high school's attendance boundary, includes the following municipalities: Middletown Township, Media, Edgmont Township, and Upper Providence Township.

Lenni is an unincorporated community in Middletown Township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Lenni is located at the intersection of Lenni Road and Lungren Road, northeast of the Chester Creek.

Lenni station is a defunct commuter rail station on the SEPTA Regional Rail R3 West Chester Line, located in Middletown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The station and several others were closed in September 1986, and subsequently demolished.

Elwyn station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Media, Pennsylvania. It was the former southern terminus of the SEPTA Media/Elwyn Line until its 2022 re-expansion to become the Media/Wawa Line. In 2013, the station saw 510 boardings and 496 alightings on an average weekday. Service initially continued west to West Chester station, but was suspended in September 1986 due to poor track conditions. SEPTA service as far west as Wawa station was restored on August 21, 2022.In 2009, SEPTA added 90 parking spaces to Elwyn station.Prior to being named Elwyn, the station was known as Greenwood.
