Cape May Peninsula is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in the southernmost region of New Jersey. It was established as the nation's 241st and the state's fourth wine appellation on April 6, 2018 by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Treasury after reviewing the petition submitted by Dr. Alfred Natali, owner of Natali Vineyards, LLC, on behalf of the ad hoc Cape May Wine Growers Association, proposing the viticultural area named "Cape May Peninsula." The 126,635 acres (198 sq mi) wine appellation includes most of Cape May and a small portion of Cumberland Counties. The region is characterized by well-drained sandy or sandy loam soils of low to moderate fertility, and a relatively long growing season. The climate is strongly moderated by the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay. The region is in hardiness zones range from 7a to 8a. The appellation lies entirely within the pre-established Outer Coastal Plain AVA, yet has a unique terroir with a more moderate temperature and a longer growing season. The distinguishing features of the Cape May Peninsula AVA are its temperature and soils.

Jessie Creek Winery is a winery in the Dias Creek section of Middle Township (mailing address is Cape May Court House) in Cape May County, New Jersey. The vineyard was first planted in 2002, and opened to the public in 2012. Jessie Creek has 5 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,200 cases of wine per year. The winery's name is an amalgamation of Jessie, the name of the former owner's mother, and Dias Creek.

Natali Vineyards is a winery in the Goshen section of Middle Township (mailing address is Cape May Court House) in Cape May County, New Jersey, USA. Formerly a pasture for horses, the vineyard was first planted in 2001, and opened to the public in 2007. Natali has seven acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 1,800 cases of wine per year. The winery is named after the vintner and co-owner of the winery.

Dias Creek (also known as Dyars Creek, Dyer's Creek or Dyers Creek) is an unincorporated community located in Middle Township, in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The community is traversed by Route 47, and primarily consists of farmland, woods, and campgrounds for vacationers.A post office was established in 1850, with Charles K. Holmes as the first postmaster.

The Goshen School is located at 316 North Delsea Drive (New Jersey Route 47) in the Goshen section of Middle Township in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The historic school building was built in 1872 and was documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1990. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 12, 2014, for its significance in architecture and education. According to the nomination form, it is one of the oldest extant schoolhouses in the county. It was used as a school until 1962. The building features a bell tower and Italianate style.

The county is part of the Ocean City, NJ metropolitan statistical area and the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD combined statistical area, also known as the Delaware Valley.Before Cape May County was settled by Europeans, the Kechemeche tribe of the Lenape Native Americans inhabited South Jersey. Beginning in 1609, European explorers purchased land from, and contributed to the decline of, the indigenous people. The county was named for Cornelius Jacobsen Mey, a Dutch captain who explored and charted the area from 1620 to 1621, and established a claim for the province of New Netherland. In 1685, the court of Cape May County was split from neighboring Burlington County, although the boundaries were not set until seven years later. In 1690, Cape May (originally known as Cape Island) was founded, becoming America's oldest seaside resort. The county was subdivided into three townships in 1798: Lower, Middle, and Upper. The other 16 municipalities in the county, including two no longer in existence, were established between 1827 and 1928. In 1863, the first railroad in the county opened, which carried crops from the dominant farming industry. Railroads later led to the popularity of the county's coastal resorts. The need for improved automotive access to the county led to the development of the Garden State Parkway, which opened in 1956. The most populous place was Lower Township with 22,057 residents in the 2020 census, and its geographically largest municipality is Middle Township, which covers 82.96 square miles (214.9 km2).

Middle Township is a township in Cape May County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The township, and all of Cape May County, is part of the Ocean City metropolitan statistical area, and is part of the Philadelphia-Wilmington-Camden, PA-NJ-DE-MD combined statistical area, also known as the Delaware Valley or Philadelphia metropolitan area. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 20,380, an increase of 1,469 (+7.8%) from the 2010 census count of 18,911, which in turn reflected an increase of 2,506 (+15.3%) from the 16,405 counted in the 2000 census. The township's Cape May Court House section is the county seat of Cape May County.

Old Cape May County Courthouse Building is located in Cape May Court House, Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. The building was built in 1848 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1981. It was replaced by the Cape May Courthouse in 1927.

The Cape May County Courthouse is located at 9 North Main Street in Cape May Court House, the county seat of Cape May County, which itself is in Middle Township, New Jersey, United States.It was designed by Edwards & Green of Camden and Philadelphia and built in 1926–1927 by Bennett McLaughlin Company, also of Philadelphia. They also designed the county seal, which was originally meant as a medallion for the new courthouse floor, and adopted as official in 1927.It replaced the Old Cape May County Courthouse Building that had been built in 1848 and that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. This First order, Fresnel lens from the top of the Cape May Lighthouse was moved to the courthouse.
