Thomas K. Finletter Academics Plus School is a historic school located in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1929–1930. It is a three-story, eight bay yellow brick building on a raised basement in the Art Deco-style. It features a colorful arched entryway with terra cotta trim and terra cotta panels. It was named for the judge Thomas K. Finletter. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Benjamin Franklin Academics Plus School is a historic elementary school located in the Crescentville neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Henry deCourcy Richards and built in 1915. It is a two-story, five-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Late Gothic Revival style. Additions were built in 1931 and 1954. It features entrances with carved stone and terra cotta surrounds and a brick parapet. The school was named for Benjamin Franklin. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Cardinal Dougherty High School (CDHS) was a private, Roman Catholic high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia and established in the East Oak Lane section of Philadelphia at 6301 North Second Street. Although Cardinal Dougherty was founded as a co-institutional school, it became co-educational in 1983, with boys and girls being educated together in the same classrooms.

Olney ( or locally ) is a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It is roughly bounded by Roosevelt Boulevard to the south, Tacony Creek to the east, Godfrey Avenue to the north, and the railroad right-of-way west of Seventh Street to the west. Although Olney is primarily a quiet residential neighborhood, portions do serve as major commercial centers for many surrounding groups. 5th Street has a Korean-American business district in the vicinity of Olney Avenue, and Hispanic businesses flourish in the southern reaches of the neighborhood. Fisher Park is located in Olney. It is a 23-acre (93,000 m2) public park which was laid out and owned by Joseph Wharton, founder of Swarthmore College and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. It was donated to the city by Joseph in 1908 as a "Christmas gift" to Philadelphia. Fisher Park has a football field, basketball and tennis courts, and a wooded hiking area. Olney is named after the estate of Alexander Wilson (not the ornithologist), who resided on Rising Sun Avenue, near Tacony Creek. Wilson chose the name for his residence because of his love for the poet William Cowper, of Olney, England. The mansion was demolished in 1924, but the name was applied to the growing village nearby.

Since the late 1980s, the Korean community has expanded northward, and it now straddles the border between North Philadelphia in Philadelphia proper and the northern suburb of Cheltenham, although many Korean-American businesses and organizations and some residents remain in Olney and adjoining neighborhoods. Upper Darby Township, bordering West Philadelphia, also has a large Korean-American population; meanwhile, a rapidly growing Korean population and commercial presence has emerged in suburban Cherry Hill, New Jersey since 2010, centered along Marlton Pike, attracted to the Cherry Hill Public Schools. Signage in Hangul (한글) is ubiquitous in some neighborhoods in these areas.

Universal Creighton Charter School is a historic school located in the Crescentville neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is currently in use as a charter school. The building was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1929–1930. It is a three-story, eight-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Late Gothic Revival style. Additions were built in 1931 and 1954. It features entrances with arched stone surrounds, brick piers with terra cotta capitals, and a crenellated battlement with four small towers.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 as the Thomas Creighton School.

College Settlement of Philadelphia is an American outdoor camp and school located in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Established in 1892, it was originally associated with the settlement movement under the auspices of the College Settlements Association (CSA) to provide educational and social services in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing on the mostly immigrant population of the neighborhood it served, and providing a home to the children and young people of the neighborhood.

The building built in 1900–1901 and is a two-story ashlar and smooth limestone building in the Georgian Revival-style. It features a projecting pedimented center bay and arched limestone entrance surround.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Olney station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at Mascher Street and Tabor Road in the Olney neighborhood, it serves the Fox Chase Line. The station has a 61-space parking lot. In FY 2013, it had a weekday average of 158 boardings and 156 alightings.The original station building was constructed in 1906 by the Reading Railroad. It was boarded up in the 1980s, and was demolished in 2008. Olney is the last stop inbound before Wayne Junction, where it merges with the Warminster, West Trenton, Lansdale/Doylestown, and Chestnut Hill East lines.

Olney-Oak Lane, Philadelphia, is a section of Philadelphia that is immediately north of Upper North Philadelphia and south of Cheltenham. It is an area that consists of the now defunct township that was called "Bristol Township, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania". The section is often included as part of North Philadelphia by city government agencies, though locally it is often referred to as "Uptown," along with the Germantown-Chestnut Hill section. The section includes the neighborhoods of East Oak Lane and West Oak Lane, Feltonville, Fern Rock, Koreatown, Logan, Ogontz, Cedarbrook and Olney.

Lawndale station is a station located along SEPTA's Fox Chase Line. It is located at Robbins and Newtown Avenues and serves the Lawndale neighborhood of Northeast Philadelphia. The station has a small shelter and has no parking lot. In FY 2013, Lawndale station had a weekday average of 213 boardings and 201 alightings.In 2005, SEPTA segregated CSX's Trenton Subdivision freight tracks and the Fox Chase Line passenger tracks that run parallel from Newtown Junction to just south of Cheltenham. Passengers may now only board from the west side platform.
