633 17th Street

707 17th Street, formerly known as the MCI Building and Arco Tower, and now known as the Jacobs Building is a skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. The building was completed in 1981, and rises 42 floors and 522 feet (159 m) in height. The building stands as the seventh-tallest building in Denver as of 2018. It also stood as the tallest building in the city at the time of its 1981 completion, and held that distinction for two years until it was surpassed by the 709-foot (216 m) 1801 California Street in 1983.707 17th Street was known as MCI Plaza until 2005; MCI Inc. filed for bankruptcy in 2002, and the company was subsequently acquired by Verizon Communications on February 14, 2005. Prior to its bankruptcy, MCI occupied the uppermost commercial floors of 707 17th Street, and served as the structure's primary tenant. However, even before MCI's acquirement, 707 17th Street stood partially vacant, and was nearing a 50% vacancy rate in 2002. This ended on September 30, 2002, when architectural, engineering and construction management firm Carter & Burgess (acquired in 2007 by Jacobs Engineering Group) signed a deal to lease 86,000 square feet (8,000 m2) of office space. This deal was one of the largest office transactions in Denver in 2006. Jacobs has merged with CH2M Hill and has since merged into their headquarters in south Denver and no longer have their signage on the building. While the upper 22 floors of the building contain office space, the lowest 20 floors of 707 17th Street contain a hotel that was originally known as the Denver Marriott City Center, but was renamed the Hilton Denver City Center on December 1, 2017. The hotel contains 613 guest rooms and suites. As the building consists of both commercial and hotel space, it is classified as a mixed use skyscraper.707 17th Street has a somewhat unusual "setfront" design, rather than the usual setback found in other Denver skyscrapers such as 1801 California Street. The building bulges out and becomes wider at its 21st floor, and this widening is described as a "setfront". The narrower region at the bottom of the building is home to the Hilton hotel, whereas the upper, wider floors contain most of the commercial space. The building's façade is composed of black glass, and it is an example of international-style "black box" architecture.

621 17th Street, formerly known as the First Interstate Tower South, is a high-rise building in Denver, Colorado, United States. The building was completed in 1957, and rises 28 floors and 385 feet (117 m) in height. The building stands as the 20th-tallest building in Denver and Colorado. It also stood as the tallest building in the city at the time of its 1957 completion, and held that distinction for eleven years until it was surpassed by the 420-foot (128 m) Brooks Towers in 1968. 621 17th Street is considered to be one of the earliest modern skyscrapers in Denver.At the time of its completion, 621 17th Street was known as "First National Bank Building", its primary tenant. After First Interstate merged with Wells Fargo in 1996, the building's official name became its address. The 434-foot (132 m) First Interstate Tower North, now known as 633 17th Street, was built adjacent to First Interstate Tower South in 1974. The two buildings together form the First of Denver Plaza. The building with the First of Denver logo can be seen in the opening credits of the television show Dynasty.

18th & California station and 18th & Stout station are a pair of RTD light rail stations in Downtown Denver, Colorado, United States. Operating as part of the D, F, H, and L lines, the stations were opened on October 8, 1994, and are operated by the Regional Transportation District. These stations have one track each, and are one city block apart. 18th & California is served only by northbound trains and 18th & Stout is served only by southbound trains. This is a transfer point for any passenger traveling to stops north of this station along Welton Street towards the 30th & Downing station. The L Line serves these stops.

Johns Manville Plaza is a 404-foot-tall skyscraper (123 m) in Denver, Colorado. It was completed in 1978 and has 29 floors. The building was designed by Hellmuth, Obata and Kassabaum and built by Al Cohen Construction. It is owned by Crescent Real Estate Equities Company, and is the 16th tallest building in Denver. Reflective solar glass windows alternating with 5-foot-wide columns (1.5 m) makes up the outer walls. A plaza, basement, and loading dock are shared with 707 17th Street.

1801 California Street is a skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. The building was completed in 1983, and rises 53 floors and 709 feet (216 m) in height. The building stands as the second-tallest building in Denver and Colorado, and as the 151st-tallest building in the United States. 1801 California Street was previously occupied by offices for US West, and then served as the world headquarters of Qwest Communications. In summer 2011 following CenturyLink's acquisition of Qwest, the Qwest sign was removed from the top and replaced with the CenturyLink sign. Upon its completion in 1983, the building stood as the tallest building in the city. However, it held that distinction for less than a year, being surpassed by Republic Plaza in 1984.The building has a brown concrete façade, and has a stepped design featuring four setbacks. It is an example of late-modernist high-rise architecture. The shape of the building resembles two interlocked octagonal sections, which separate near the building's roof. The roof houses an antenna mast; with this structure included, the building reaches to a total height of 738 feet (225 m), surpassing the 717-foot (219 m) roof of Republic Plaza. Therefore, when measuring by pinnacle height, 1801 California Street remains the tallest building in Denver. 1801 California Street once held the distinction of hosting the brightest high-rise signs in the world, surpassing even the brightly lit high-rise logos found on the skyscrapers of Shanghai and Hong Kong. Four Qwest logos were installed in 2000, after the corporation moved their offices from 555 17th Street, situated two blocks away. The signs, light blue in color, were at the time the brightest high-rise lights in the world, visible from over 70 miles (113 km) away. However, Qwest removed the signs in 2004 due to increasing complaints from residents of Downtown Denver and rising energy costs, and the lights were replaced with ones of a darker blue color. In December 2011, Brookfield Office Properties acquired 1801 California Street from Public Service Enterprise Group for $215 million. In October 2015 the Transamerica logo was added to the skyscraper. On November 2, 2015 Transamerica relocated its Denver operations to 1801 California and now occupies several floors of the building.In the lobby of the building is an Ink Coffee and 1801 Eatery, and the Guard and Grace steakhouse. Brookfield sold a 51% interest in the property to AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust for $286 million on March 30, 2018.Exterior shots of the building were used as the setting for Colbyco in the television series Dynasty.

555 17th Street, formerly known as the Anaconda Tower and the Qwest Tower, is a skyscraper in Denver, Colorado. The building was completed in 1978, and rises 40 floors and 507 feet (155 m) in height. The building stands as the seventh-tallest building in Denver and Colorado. It also stood as the tallest building in the city at the time of its 1978 completion, and held that distinction for three years until it was surpassed by the 522-foot (159 m) 707 17th Street in 1981.555 17th Street was originally known as the Anaconda Tower, after the Anaconda Company who relocated their headquarters from New York City to Denver in 1978. The building became the world headquarters of Qwest in 1997, at which point it was adorned with two large Qwest signs. The building served as Qwest's headquarters until 2000, when the corporation moved to 1801 California Street, the second-tallest building in Denver situated two blocks away. Although Qwest moved its headquarters in 2000, the two brightly lit blue signs on 555 17th Street remained in place for four more years. Qwest finally removed the logos in 2004, but prior to that the signs were left dark for several months.555 17th Street is composed entirely of Class A office space, containing features such as a tenants' restaurant, private club, and conference center. The building is home to the offices of accounting firm RSM US LLP. Holland & Hart, a major law firm, has its headquarters in 555 17th Street.555 17th Street has been installed with several environmentally "green" features, including a 600-ton flat plate heat exchanger and electronic ballast lighting technology. The building's management company, Mile High Properties, estimates that the upgraded features have generated savings of US$$1,835,000 in five years. Due to its green features, 555 17th Street has been designated a "Labeled Building" by Energy Star and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.Cushman And Wakefield is the current property manager. 555 17th Street has the same owners as the Grand Hyatt.

United Western Financial Center is a 357 ft (109m) tall high-rise office building located at 700 17th Street in the city Denver, Colorado. It was completed in 1961 and has 24 floors. It is the 28th tallest building in Denver. It was designed by the architecture firm Raymond Harry Ervin & Associates in the modernist style.

The Ghost Building in Denver, Colorado, United States is literally a ghost of its former self. Originally built at 15th and Glenarm Streets in 1889 for real estate developer Allen M. Ghost by architect William A. Lang, better known for designing the Molly Brown House. When this building, listed in the National Register of Historic Places #78000847, was threatened with demolition in the 1970s, a Denver architect Brian T. Congleton proposed disassembling the facade and reassembling it elsewhere. After nearly a decade in storage, Brown-Schrepferman reassembled this historic building on the corner of 18th and Stout in downtown Denver in 1984. The building was reconstructed using the original details and stone facade, around a modern steel structure. The current manifestation of the building is not listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Dominion Towers is an office complex in Denver, Colorado. It consists of two adjoining towers, and was built in 1982. The taller one, Dominion Towers South, is 384 feet (117 m) tall and has 28 floors. The buildings have pink granite facades and blue-tinted windows.

The Byron White United States Courthouse is a courthouse in Denver, Colorado, currently the seat of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. It formerly housed courthouses of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Completed between 1910 and 1916, the building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, as U.S. Post Office and Federal Building. In 1994, it was renamed in honor of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Byron White (1917–2002) a native of Fort Collins, Colorado.

The First National Bank Building, also known as the American National Bank of Denver, Colorado was originally built as the headquarters building in 1911. Located at the corner of 17th and Stout Streets, it is now the Magnolia Hotel. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. In 2000, it became part of the Downtown Denver Historic District.
