Dingle GAA

Dingle (Irish: An Daingean or Daingean Uí Chúis, meaning "fort of Ó Cúis") is a town in County Kerry in the south-west of Ireland. The only town on the Dingle Peninsula (known in Irish as Corca Dhuibhne), it sits on the Atlantic coast, about 50 kilometres (30 mi) southwest of Tralee and 71 kilometres (40 mi) northwest of Killarney. Principal industries in the town are tourism, fishing and agriculture: Dingle Mart (livestock market) serves the surrounding countryside. The town is located in the Barony of Corkaguiny (the name 'Corkaguiny' being the anglicised version of Corca Dhuibhne). In 2022, Dingle had a population of 1,671, a decrease from the 2016 census, and the oldest average age for a town in Ireland (44.4 years). Situated in a Gaeltacht region, 13.7% of the population spoke Irish on a daily basis in 2016. An adult Bottlenose dolphin named Fungie had been courting human contact in Dingle Bay since 1983 but disappeared in 2020.

Carhoo Hill or Ballymacadoyle Hill (Irish: Cnoc na Ceathrún, meaning 'Hill of the quarter') is a large hill south-west of Dingle in County Kerry, Ireland.

The Monagh River is a river in Ireland. The river flows through three counties: Westmeath, Offaly and Meath. The river is also connected to other rivers in the area including Milltown River in Westmeath, and the Yellow River on the Meath–Offaly border. The mouth of the river is 0.7 miles (1.12 km) south of Castlejordan while the head of the river is 0.2 miles (0.32 km) east of Smithstown.

Dingle Distillery is an Irish whiskey distillery established in 2012 and owned by the Porterhouse Brewing Company. The distillery is located in a converted sawmill in Milltown on the outskirts of Dingle in County Kerry in Ireland. The first whiskeys distilled and matured at the distillery were released in late 2016. In addition to whiskey, the distillery also produces and markets Dingle vodka and Dingle Gin. It bills itself as an 'artisan' distillery. In 2017, Dingle Distillery became the first independent Irish distillery to release a single pot still whiskey in several decades.

The Eask Tower is a solid stone tower on the top of Carhoo Hill, in County Kerry, Ireland, overlooking Dingle harbour.

Doonshean or Doonsheane (Irish: Dún Síon or Dún Séann) is a townland in western County Kerry in Ireland. It is located about 3.8 km east from the neighbouring town of Dingle. The area gets its name from the nearby Doonmore fort, with dún (fort) transliterated to doon, and síon deriving from the word síneadh meaning a stretch of land. The promontory fort is accessible by walking through the fields. There are also a number of other ring forts, enclosures and related archaeological sites in the area. Dún Síon's beach has views of the village Kinard in the neighbouring parish of Lispole. The Siorrach, meaning "foal", is a sea stack which can be seen from the beach and is said to resemble a foal. The Trá Bheag, meaning "small beach", runs along the beach until it meets the sea.

Garfinny Bridge is a medieval stone bridge located in County Kerry, Ireland. The bridge was designated as an Irish National Monument.

Emlagh East Cashel is a stone ringfort (cashel) and National Monument located in County Kerry, Ireland.

Gallaunmore is a standing stone and National Monument located in County Kerry, Ireland. Gallaunmore is located 3 km (1.9 mi) east of Dingle and 4 km (2.5 mi) west of Lispole, south of the N86 and north of the Trabeg Estuary. The stone stands 4.2 m (14 ft) tall and is 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) wide. The northwest and southeast sides taper towards the tip.
