Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade

The Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism is a ministry of the Government of Ontario that is responsible for citizenship and multiculturalism issues in the Canadian province of Ontario. From 2014 to 2016, it was known as the Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade, then the ministry was reorganized and it reverted to its prior name. The Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration was dissolved in 2018, and its functions were taken over by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. In 2021, the ministry was reintroduced as the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism. The current minister is Parm Gill.

Residences of College Park is a skyscraper complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The north and south towers were completed in 2006 and 2008, respectively, and stand 155 and 140 m (509 and 459 ft) on Bay Street just south of College Street near the historic College Park department store. A third phase of the development, known as Aura opened in 2014, and is the tallest residential building in Canada.

Fran's Restaurant is a small chain of restaurants based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Its first restaurant was a haunt of pianist Glenn Gould. The flagship location was opened in 1940 by G. Francis "Fran" Deck at 21 St Clair Avenue West and closed in 2001. Fran's, originally beginning as a diner, had only ten seats, but later expanded to a small chain of restaurants in Toronto, including locations at 2275 Yonge and Eglinton (1945–2001), 1386 Bathurst south of Vaughan Road, Yonge and College (1950–present), Yonge and Dundas (1960–1984) and one in Hamilton. The head office was on Mt Pleasant Road north of Merton Street. Currently, Fran's operates two corporate-owned locations in Toronto, and one temporary location at the CNE during the summer months. Their current locations are 200 Victoria Street and 20 College Street, both within Toronto. The 33 Yonge Street location closed in early 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Fran Deck died in 1976 in a car accident in Tucson, Arizona; the business was continued by his family. In the 1990s, the family-owned chain was sold to a group of investors who intended to expand the chain throughout the Greater Toronto Area. In 1997, the College St. location was purchased by an independent restaurateur, Joon Kim. The College St. location retained the Fran's menu and restaurant name. In 1998, the Fran's Restaurant company was purchased by Kim, the owner of the College St. location. Once again, Fran's Restaurant became a family-owned and operated restaurant, and continues to be run by Kim and his sons.Because of the proximity of the College St. location to Maple Leaf Gardens, many of its clients were hockey fans catching a meal before or after a Maple Leafs hockey game. Moreover, many of its long-time customers continued to frequent the location. In 2004, as a part of a gradual expansion program, a new location was opened in the Pantages Hotels and Suites at Victoria and Shuter. With the opening, Fran's modified its menu to include new food items alongside its traditional favourites by doubling the food choices. Following the opening of the Victoria and Shuter location, Fran's expanded to Barrie, Ontario, opening a restaurant on Bayfield Street in December 2006. This location became the first location not open 24 hours a day. It closed in 2015. In 2009 Fran's Restaurants opened its first corporate United States location in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, in the Power & Light Entertainment District. In August 2010, Fran's opened its third Toronto-based location near the intersection of Yonge and Front Streets, across from the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Along with its modern decor, it is also the first Fran's Restaurant to have a full-service bar in its substantial outdoor patio. This location is the first to expand its brand from a diner concept to a restaurant and bar and includes a full size outdoor bar and patio with both patio table and lounge chair configurations. Fran's Restaurant is the originator of the term "Banquet Burger".Fran's was a constant haunt of pianist Glenn Gould. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation profile of Gould notes: "Sometime between two and three every morning Gould would go to Fran's, a 24-hour diner a block away from his Toronto apartment, sit in the same booth and order the same meal of scrambled eggs."In 2014, Fran's opened a booth at the Canadian National Exhibition's Food Building for the first time and featured exclusive fare developed especially for the fair such as pie shakes, peanut butter-Sriracha balls, a Thanksgiving waffle, and a Big Breakfast Maple Toast Box.

College Park is a shopping mall, residential and office complex on the southwest corner of Yonge and College streets in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. An Art Deco landmark, the building was initially known as Eaton's College Street. It was operated by Eaton's from 1930 to 1977. After being sold to new owners and adapted for new purposes, it was renamed as College Park.

The Carlu is an historic event space in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Opened in 1930 and known as the eponymous "Eaton's Seventh Floor", the venue was restored and reopened in 2003, renamed for its original architect. The Carlu is one of Toronto's best examples of Art Moderne architecture. The venue is owned by restaurant firm Oliver & Bonacini.

Toronto Police Headquarters (French: Quartier Général de la Police de Toronto) is the headquarters of the Toronto Police Service, located at 40 College Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the first purpose-built police headquarters in Toronto since the formation of the city's original police force in 1835.

The John Irwin House is a historic structure located in Toronto, one of the oldest surviving residential buildings in its neighbourhood. The house is listed on the City of Toronto government's registry of historic properties. The city describes the house as being an example of "Second Empire" style. The house is located at 21 Grenville Street. That part of the city, east of Queen's Park, was opened for residential development in 1860, and the house was recorded on city records as being owned by John Irwin in 1873. Enzo di Matteo, writing in Now, included the house in a profile of 15 historic properties that were nevertheless under threat of demolition.In the winter of 2012, a rear wing of the house was demolished.In 2012, 2013, and 2014, the block surrounding the house was redeveloped into a 50-story highrise, and extraordinary steps were taken to preserve the John Irwin House. The house was temporarily moved to a concrete platform, supported by deep piles that extended through what would be several underground floors, to bedrock. When the highrise is complete, the historic house will be repurposed as commercial space.In a profile of the development, in January 2017, Urban Toronto reported that the John Irwin House was expected to become a restaurant.

The IOOF Hall in Toronto is a historic building erected for the Independent Order of Odd Fellows society. The building was designed for mix-use accommodating over 34 offices, a store selling imported and domestic cigars, and most importantly a 20’ wide by 46’ long grand hall for private meetings held by Toronto’s Independent Order of Odd Fellows. It was the first society hall in Toronto to be built with an electrically run elevator running up from the ground floor to the 3rd floor society rooms.Oddfellows’ Hall is located on the northwest corner of Yonge Street and College Street, in Toronto, ON. The building was designed as an adaptation of the Gothic Revival style by Norman Dick and Frank Wickson in 1891 and was completed in 1893.

College is a subway station on Line 1 Yonge–University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at Yonge Street and College Street/Carlton Street. Wi-Fi service is available at this station.

Little Glenn is a human-size bronze statue of a young working-class boy pulling a 22-foot-tall (6.7 m) stone obelisk in a four-wheeled cart. On the obelisk are carved the words "To serve and protect", the motto of the police force of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Little Glenn is located on the intersection of Bay and Grenville, in front of the Metro Toronto Police Headquarters. It was erected in 1988 by the Canadian sculptor Eldon Garnet as a part of a composition of three human-size sculptures surrounding the police station.

Aura is a mixed-use skyscraper completed in 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the final phase of a series of condominium buildings near College Park in Toronto's Downtown Yonge district. It is part of the Residences of College Park project. Construction lasted from 2010 to 2014. With 79 floors, as of 2018 it is the tallest residential building in Canada and the 38th tallest residential building in the world.

The McLaughlin Motor Car Showroom was built in 1925 and operated continuously as a car dealership until March 2007 when it was last occupied by Addison on Bay dealership (Cadillac) at 832 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario.
