Tây Hồ (West Lake) is an urban district (quận) located on the north side of central Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The district wraps around the West Lake (hồ Tây), one of the largest natural lakes of Vietnam. The district currently has 8 wards, covering a total area of 24.39 square kilometers. As of 2019, there were 160,495 people residing in the district, the population density is 6,600 inhabitants per square kilometer. Tây Hồ is a high-end residential area, housing a large population of expatriates and many Western restaurants and boutiques.

The United Nations International School of Hanoi is an international school in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1988 with the support of the United Nations Development Programme in Vietnam (UNDP) with the aim of providing an education to the children of UN staff and others. It is one of two UN schools in the world, with its sister school, United Nations International School, located in New York City. The school primarily caters to the children of diplomats, aid workers, businessmen, and other expatriates living and working in Hanoi. UNIS is regarded as of the most prestigious international schools in Asia. Classes range from pre-school to high school, and the IB Diploma is available to students in grade 11 and 12. As of May 2018, there were 1123 students with 66 nationalities speaking 44 different languages. The school maintains a 20% cap for any one nationality, which was put in place in order to maintain an international and culturally diverse atmosphere. There are teachers from 27 countries with 88% from the UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada. Class sizes at UNIS Hanoi range from 16 to 22 students depending on the grade level with mostly 8 classes per grade level.

University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) (also called Vietnam France University) is an International Standard Public University in Hanoi founded in 2009 under the Intergovernmental Agreement between Vietnam and France signed on 12 November 2009.

West Lake (Vietnamese: Hồ Tây) is the biggest freshwater lake of Hanoi, Vietnam, located northwest of the city center. With a shore length of 17 kilometres (11 mi) and 500 hectares (5.0 km2) in area, this is the largest lake of the capital and a popular place for recreation with many surrounding gardens, hotels and villas. A small part of West Lake is divided by Thanh Niên road to form Trúc Bạch Lake. Most of the lake is located within Tây Hồ District, named after the lake.

Bobby Chinn is a restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam, situated near the perimeter of the Old Quarter, overlooking Hoàn Kiếm Lake. It is run by American chef Bobby Chinn. It serves a mixture of Californian, French, and Vietnamese cuisine, as well as a variety of international tapas-style dishes.

VietinBank Business Center Office Tower is a supertall skyscrapers in the Ciputra urban area. It was planned to be Vietinbank's headquarters in Hanoi. If built, it will be the second tallest building in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (Vietnamese: Bảo tàng Dân tộc học Việt Nam) is a museum in Hanoi, Vietnam, which focuses on the 54 officially recognised ethnic groups in Vietnam. It is located on a 43,799-square-metre (10.823-acre) property in the Cầu Giấy District, about 8 km from the city center. The museum is a member of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences - an academic institution of the Vietnamese Government. A second exhibition building was open in 2013 and has a focus on Southeast Asian cultures and peoples.

Le Quy Don Technical University (Vietnamese: Đại học Kỹ thuật Lê Quý Đôn), also known as Military Technical Academy (Học viện Kỹ thuật Quân sự), was founded in 1966 and is one of the national key universities in Vietnam. Le Quy Don Technical University has developed into an open, multidisciplinary, research-oriented, leading national university.

Quần Ngựa Sports Palace (Vietnamese: Cung thể thao tổng hợp Quần Ngựa or simply Cung thể thao Quần Ngựa) is a palace of sports situated in Ba Đình District, Hanoi, Vietnam.

Electric Power University (EPU) in Vietnamese Trường Đại học Điện Lực is a public university in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The Nhật Tân Bridge (or Vietnam–Japan Friendship Bridge) is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Red River in Hanoi, inaugurated on 4 January 2015. It forms part of a new six-lane highway linking Hanoi and Noi Bai International Airport. The project is funded by a Japan International Cooperation Agency ODA loan. Nhat Tan Bridge has a total length of 8.3 kilometres (5.2 mi), including a 3.7 kilometres (2.3 mi) bridge, with 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) cable-stayed bridge with five spans crossing the Red River. The bridge is 33.2 metres (109 ft) wide, divided into four lanes for motorized vehicles, two lanes for buses, two lanes for mixed vehicles and pedestrian paths. Each span has 11 pairs of cables. Nhat Tan Bridge was designed and built to become a new icon of the capital, its five towers symbolizing the five ancient gates of Hanoi. In the summer of 2017, Hanoi partnered with the Dutch company Philips to illuminate the bridge at night. The system is claimed to be able to create 16.7 million colors.

The Academy of Journalism and Communication (AJC; Vietnamese: Học viện Báo chí và Tuyên truyền) is an academy with its campus in Hanoi, Vietnam. The academy was established in 1962 and now it is under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration. Main tasks of the academy are training bachelors and masters of Marxism – Leninism politics, Ho Chi Minh Thoughts subjects, officers of Thought – Culture, Press and Media. There are over 255 teachers, researchers in academy, including 9 professors and associate professors, 152 Ph.Ds and Masters and 95 main teachers.
