Chelsea Career & Technical Education High School (formerly Chelsea Vocational High School) is a public Career and Technical Education (CTE) high school located at 131 Avenue of the Americas, New York, New York, United States. It is a part of district 2 in the New York City Department of Education.

The American Geographical Society (AGS) is an organization of professional geographers, founded in 1851 in New York City. Most fellows of the society are Americans, but among them have always been a significant number of fellows from around the world. The society encourages activities that expands geographical knowledge, and the interpretation of that knowledge so that it can be useful to geographers and other disciplines, especially in a policymaking environment. It is the oldest nationwide geographical organization in the United States. Over the century and a half of its existence, the AGS has been especially interested in three regions: the Arctic, the Antarctic, and Latin America. A signature characteristic of the AGS-sponsored exploration was the requirement that its expeditions produce tangible scientific results.

10 Sullivan is a triangular sixteen-story residential building between Sixth Avenue and Sullivan Street adjacent to the Holland Tunnel entrance in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. The building was developed by Property Market Group and Madison Equities, and was designed by Tamarkin Co.

Spring Street Park is a small triangular park in the lower Manhattan neighborhood of Hudson Square in New York City. The park is bounded by Spring Street on the north, Broome Street on the south, Avenue of the Americas (Sixth Avenue) on the east, and on the west by a narrow two-block street considered to be a spur of Sixth Avenue. As a pedestrian plaza, the triangle was previously known as SoHo Square.SoHo Square was created when Sixth Avenue was extended south of Carmine Street, one of several similar squares to come into existence in that way. In keeping with the renaming of the avenue as the "Avenue of the Americas" in 1945, it contains a larger-than-lifesize statue of General José Artigas, a Uruguayan independence leader and national hero. The statue is a second cast from a statue by Uruguayan sculptor José Luis Zorrilla de San Martín, the first of which stands in front of the Uruguayan National Bank in Montevideo, where it has been since 1949.The land is owned by the New York City Department of Transportation and is maintained by the Hudson Square Business Improvement District (BID) and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Starting in April 2017, the park was redeveloped by the Hudson Square BID. The redesign and renovation was funded by $3 million from the BID, $2 million from the New York City Economic Development Corporation and $1 million from the New York City Council. The redevelopment provided 160 places to sit, including "swivel seats", customized energy-efficient lighting, and a total of 42 trees plus other plantings. In addition, the statue of General Artigas was moved to a more central location within the park. The aim of the redesign was to create "a world-class green space that residents, employees and visitors will enjoy for generations," according to City Council member Corey Johnson. The redesign of the plaza into a park is the centerpieces of the BID's streetscape improvement plan for the Hudson Square neighborhood. The park was partially reopened in August 2018 and fully reopened two months later. The Dahesh Museum of Art, the Chelsea Career & Technical Education High School, the NYC iSchool, and the HERE Arts Center are all located around the park.

The Dahesh Museum of Art is the only museum in the United States devoted to the collection and exhibition of European academic art of the 19th and 20th century. The collection, located in Manhattan, New York City, originated with Lebanese writer and philosopher Salim Moussa Achi (1909–1984), whose pen name was Dr. Dahesh. The core of the museum's holdings consists of Dahesh's collection of more than 2,000 academic paintings, which includes many notable Orientalist paintings.The Museum's regular exhibition space closed in 2008, leaving the museum temporarily available only online and in traveling exhibitions. In early 2012, the Museum reopened an office and gift shop in Manhattan's Hudson Square neighborhood, near SoHo. Renovations began in 2015 on the museum's new permanent home at 178 East 64th Street. According to the museum's website, the opening is anticipated in winter 2019-2020.

HERE Arts Center is a New York City off-off-Broadway presenting house, founded in 1993. Their location includes two stages specializing in hybrid performance, dance, theater, multi-media and puppetry in addition to art exhibition space and a cafe. Since 1993, HERE reports having supported over 14,000 artists and hosting approximately 1,000,000 audience members.HERE is located in Hudson Square, SoHo on 145 Avenue of the Americas, New York, between Spring Street and Broome Street. In 2008 the space underwent extensive renovations which saw the venue take its current form.

The African Grove Theatre opened in New York City in 1821. It was founded and operated by William Alexander Brown, a free black man from the West Indies. It opened six years before the final abolition of slavery in New York state (gradual abolition brought it to an end in 1827, but young people born to slave mothers had to serve apprenticeships to age 21). The African Grove Theatre was attended by "all types of black New Yorkers -- free and slave, middle-class and working-class" along with others. It was the first place where Ira Aldridge, who would later become an esteemed and renowned Shakespearian actor, first saw a production of a Shakespeare play.

The Moondance Diner was a diner in the SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, located at 88 Sixth Avenue, between Grand Street and Canal Street.

Fiamma Osteria (later known as simply Fiamma) was a restaurant in New York City. The restaurant had received a Michelin star.

Aquagrill was a seafood restaurant located at 210 Spring Street (on the corner of Sixth Avenue), in SoHo in Manhattan, in New York City. It was opened in 1996 by owners Jennifer and Jeremy Marshall and closed in June, 2020, due to the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.The menu included items such as tuna carpaccio, salmon tartare, crabcakes, falafel salmon, miso sea bass, mushroom truffle crusted cod, bouillabaisse, shrimp, lobster, clams and oysters. Jeremy Marshall was the chef. In 2017 Zagat's gave Aquagrill a food rating of 27, and awarded it Top 50 Best Restaurants in NYC, Best Brunch in NYC, Best Oyster Raw Bar and Best Seafood Restaurant. In 2013, Zagat's gave Aquagrill a food rating of 27. Jennifer Marshall was the Wine Director and Aquagrill's wine list has been awarded over two decades of the Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence and has been awarded The Best Short Wine List in America by Restauarant Hospitality magazine. Aquagrill has been awarded Tripadvisor's Best Seafood Restaurants in NYC and Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence

The Holland Plaza Building is an 18-story industrial building located in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was built in 1929 and 1930 and was designed by noted architect Ely Jacques Kahn in the modern-classical style. The building – which is located at 75 Varick Street on a lot bounded by Canal Street, Hudson Street, and Watts Street, and faces the entrance to the Holland Tunnel – was commissioned by Abe Adelson, and was built by the New York Investing Company on land owned by Trinity Church. Hudson Square being at this time New York's Printing District, many early tenants in the building were involved in the printing trade and related companies. These included the Macmillan Company publishers, the American Book Bindery and the Royal Typewriter Company. Also, Leo Alexander & Co., a distributor of farm trucks and tractors, leased a showroom store for an aggregate rental price of $40,000. The lease was made at the end of January 1931.In July 1933 the Holland Plaza Building was sold by the New York Investing Company to the Lortay Corporation. The transaction price exceeded $5 million; the property was subject to a $4,000,000 mortgage held by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.The building, now known as One Hudson Square, was designated a New York City landmark on August 6, 2013.

The Spring Street station is a local station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. Located at Spring Street and Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas) in the Hudson Square and SoHo neighborhoods of lower Manhattan, it is served by the C and E trains, the former of which is replaced by the A train during late nights.
