The George W. Childs School is a historic school building which is located in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was a facility of the School District of Philadelphia. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Tasker–Morris station is a rapid transit passenger rail station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line. It is located at 1600 South Broad Street in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and serves only local trains. The station is named for the nearby Tasker Street to the north and Morris Street to the south. In between the two streets is a customer service office for the Philadelphia Gas Works. The streets Tasker and Morris were named after Thomas P. Tasker and Henry and Stephen Morris, the two families that founded the companies Morris, Tasker & Morris, and later the Pascal Iron Works, which occupied a site on Fifth Street between the two streets that would later take their name.The song "Tasker-Morris Station" by The Menzingers is about the station. The song "Wedding Singer" by Modern Baseball also references the station.

The South Philadelphia Library is a library in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia. The South Philadelphia Library is one of six public libraries in the South Philadelphia neighborhood.

Keystone Park is a former baseball ground located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The ground was home to the Philadelphia Keystones of the Union Association in 1884. Some sources state the location of the ballpark as the east side of South Broad Street and Moore Street. However, the Philadelphia Times for March 23, 1884, p. 7, puts the ballpark on the west side of Broad Street: "... the square of ground from Broad to Fifteenth and Moore to Mifflin... four hundred feet square... two entrances located at the southwest corner of Broad and Moore streets... The grandstand is located on the northwest corner of the lot [i.e. Moore and 15th]." The field was the original grounds of the Forepaugh Circus. Not to be confused with the later Forepaugh Park.

The Francis M. Drexel School was a historic school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Located along S. 16th Street, the school was designed by Joseph Anschutz and built under the direction of Charles O'Neill, Jr. The three-story brick building was built in a regular rectangular plan in the Victorian style of architecture, with three chimneys dominating its facade.: 2 The school was named for Francis Martin Drexel, whose son, banker and philanthropist Anthony J. Drexel, founded Drexel University two years after the construction of the school.

George W. Childs Elementary School is a K-8 school located in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia, and the historic building it occupies previously housed the Jeremiah Nichols School and Norris S. Barratt Junior High School. The current school building was built in stages. The first building was designed by Henry deCourcy Richards in 1908. An expansion was built in 1926–1927 and was designed by Irwin T. Catharine. The Richards building is a three-story, three-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Late Gothic Revival-style. The Catharine building is a four-story, seven-bay, brick building on a raised basement in the Art Deco-style.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. In 2010, the previous Childs school building was closed, and students were moved to the current location. In 2013 Walter G. Smith Elementary School closed, with students redirected to Childs. Therefore, by December of that year the student body numbered 800.

Wharton is a neighborhood in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Its boundaries are difficult to ascertain; the City of Philadelphia states it is along Wharton Street, west of Pennsport, and east of Point Breeze. According to this description, the neighborhood runs from about 4th Street to Broad, with no clear north to south boundaries. By other descriptions, the neighborhood runs from 8th to 13th Streets (east to west) and Wolf to Tasker Streets (south to north). This description places Wharton along the southern border of Passyunk Square.

Ellsworth–Federal is a subway station on SEPTA's Broad Street Line in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station opened on September 18, 1938, and is located at the western edge of the Italian Market on Broad Street, between Ellsworth and Federal Streets. It is also close to the Washington Avenue Historic District. It is served by Broad Street Line local trains only, with one platform. In addition to the Italian Market, the station also provides access to busy Washington Avenue (one block north of the Ellsworth exit) and, approximately five blocks east, the landmark competing cheesesteak vendors Geno's Steaks and Pat's King of Steaks.

Passyunk Square is a neighborhood in South Philadelphia bounded by Broad Street to the west, 6th Street to the east, Tasker Street to the south and Washington Avenue to the north. Passyunk Square is bordered by the Bella Vista, Hawthorne, Central South Philadelphia, Wharton, and Point Breeze neighborhoods. The neighborhood got its Lenape name from the 1800s Passyunk Township, Pennsylvania which named Passyunk Square Park, located between 12th, 13th, Reed and Wharton Streets. The park was eventually renamed Columbus Square Park, and subsequently the neighborhood became known as Columbus Square. Sue Montella, Geoff DiMasi, and a group of neighbors revived the Passyunk Square name when forming the Passyunk Square Civic Association in 2003.

West Passyunk is a neighborhood in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It is bounded by Mifflin Street to the north, West Passyunk Avenue to the south, South 18th Street to east, and South 25th Street to the west. It is served by the 1st Police District, located at 24th and Wolf Streets.

Dickinson Square West is a neighborhood in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States bordered by neighborhoods Queen Village to the north, Whitman to the south, Pennsport to the east and Passyunk Square and East Passyunk Crossing to the west. The neighborhood was previously referred to as "Dickinson Narrows", but was officially reestablished as "Dickinson Square West" in 2013 by the Registered Community Organization, Dickinson Square West Civic Association, located within its boundaries. In October, 2018, The Dickinson Square West Civic Association passed an amendment to expand the southern boundary from Mifflin Street to Snyder Ave

The South Philadelphia Shtiebel (Hebrew: סאוט פילאדעלפיא שטיבל) is an active synagogue and center of Jewish life in the East Passyunk neighborhood of South Philadelphia. The South Philadelphia Shtiebel is led by Rabbanit Hadas Fruchter, and offers educational, community, and religious programming.
