Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke (federal electoral district)

Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1999. It is represented by John Yakabuski of the Progressive Conservative Party. The population of the riding in 2006 was 98,803. Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke includes all of Renfrew County and a small section of Nipissing District around Algonquin Provincial Park. The largest community in the riding is the city of Pembroke; other communities include Arnprior, Barry's Bay, Chalk River, Cobden, Deep River, Eganville, Killaloe, Petawawa and Renfrew. Until recently, the riding was a Liberal stronghold both federally and provincially; however, a growing agricultural and religious base has turned this into one of the most conservative areas in Ontario. It was the only riding the Liberals had and lost in the 2003 provincial election.

Tramore is a community in Renfrew County, Ontario. It was named after the town of Tramore in Ireland.

Killaloe is a town located in Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada in the township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards. Geographically it is located in Eastern Ontario. The shores of Golden Lake are located 3 km (1.9 mi) to the east, which is well known for quality angling and year-round recreation. The present day town is located about 1 km (0.62 mi) north of the former townsite of "Old Killaloe". In 2001, the town had a population of 660 (all data after that is available only for the overall township).

Golden Lake is a body of water located in Renfrew County Ontario, located on the Bonnechere River approximately 25 km (15 miles) southwest of Pembroke, Ontario. It is bounded by the Township of North Algona-Wilberforce, the Township of Bonnechere Valley and Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation. Omàmiwininì Pimàdjwowin, the Algonquin Way Cultural Centre is located at 1674 Mishomis Inamo, Pikwakanagan First Nation. The lake is made up of three sections, with the largest section at the western end of the lake, followed by a slightly smaller section to the east, and finally a much smaller section at the eastern end of the lake, where it flows into the Bonnechere River. Golden Lake is known for its smallmouth bass and Northern pike fishing, and has a smooth, sandy bottom in most places. The lake reportedly got its name from the flecks of pyrite or "fool's gold" that can be seen glinting on the bottom of the lake near the shore. Not far from Golden Lake is another lake called Lake Doré, which is French for "Golden lake."

Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards is an incorporated township in Renfrew County in eastern Ontario, Canada, created on July 1, 2000, as a result of an amalgamation of the Township of Hagarty and Richards with the Village of Killaloe.

Foy Provincial Park is a provincial park on Round Lake in Ontario, Canada. Since it is non-operational, camping is prohibited, but day-use activities such as swimming and hiking are permitted. The park property includes facilities used by the Ontario Ranger program of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Round Lake is a lake located in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. The Bonnechere River flows into the lake in the northwest and flows out of the lake at the southeast. There are two provincial parks on the lake, Bonnechere Provincial Park on the northwestern shore and Foy Provincial Park on the eastern shore. In the mid-1920s Hydro constructed a dam on the Bonnechere River downstream from the lake and upstream from the Tramore bridge at 45°37′13″N 77°27′36″W (opposite side of the lake from Round Lake Resort) and flooded the land around the lake. The edge of the lake before the rise in water level was about 75 yards out from our present shore. Round Lake is the first major lake in the course of the Bonnechere River which begins at Mckaskill Lake in Algonquin Park to the north, and passes through Golden Lake, Eganville, Douglas and Renfrew before emptying into the Ottawa River near Castleford.

North Algona Wilberforce is a township municipality in Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. It has a population of 2,873. The township was formed in 1999 when the North Algona and Wilberforce townships were amalgamated. Wilberforce Township was named in 1851, to honour William Wilberforce.

Wilno is a settlement in the Township Municipality of Madawaska Valley, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.

Laurentian Valley is a township municipality in Renfrew County in eastern Ontario, Canada. It borders on the Ottawa River, the city of Pembroke and the town of Petawawa. This township was created on January 1, 2000, from the former townships of Stafford-Pembroke and Alice and Fraser.

The Barron River (French: rivière Barron) is a river in the Saint Lawrence River drainage basin in Nipissing District and Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. It flows from Clemow Lake in northern Algonquin Provincial Park and joins the Petawawa River, whose southern branch it forms, in the municipality of Laurentian Hills, near the municipality of Petawawa.The river is named after Barron Township through which it flows, which in turn was named in honour of John Augustus Barron.A popular canoe route passes through and a hiking trail leads to the edge of the Barron Canyon.
