Hillsborough Hospital

École François-Buote is a Canadian francophone school in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island for students that attend the school come from the central parts of Queens County, including the City of Charlottetown. The school is administratively part of the Commission scolaire de langue française. Its official colours are Blue, White and Red and the mascot is a Jaguar. The sports teams from François-Buote are called the Jaguars. A three-year $10 million, 54,000 square foot expansion was unveiled in March 2016 by Prince Edward Island Premier Wade MacLauchlan, adding a new high school wing, additional space for an early childhood centre, a music room, science lab and a trades technology section for technical education along with an expansion of the gymnasium and cafeteria.

The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) is a 243-bed acute care hospital located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, making it the largest hospital in the province. Operated by Health PEI, the hospital opened in 1982, resulting in the closure of the Charlottetown Hospital and the Prince Edward Island Hospital. It is named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. The QEH is located on a large forested campus originally known as Falconwood Farm in the northeast corner of the city adjoining the neighbourhoods of East Royalty and Sherwood, overlooking the Hillsborough River. The Hillsborough Hospital is a psychiatric hospital located on the same campus.

East Royalty is a neighbourhood of the Canadian city of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. East Royalty is located in the northeast portion of the city and occupies the eastern part of the township of Queens Royalty. Originally a rural farming community, East Royalty became an incorporated village before being amalgamated into Charlottetown on April 1, 1995.

Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park is a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, Canada. It was created prior to the 2019 election from parts of the former districts Tracadie-Hillsborough Park, York-Oyster Bed and Charlottetown-Sherwood. The riding is located in the city of Charlottetown, and includes the neighbourhoods of East Royalty, Hillsborough Park and Falconwood.

The Hillsborough River Bridge is a bridge crossing the Hillsborough River estuary between Charlottetown and Stratford in Queens County, Prince Edward Island. The current road bridge, built in 1962, replaced a 1905 rail bridge crossing the same span which was known by the same name. The first bridge was built by the Prince Edward Island Railway to complete a rail line from Charlottetown to Murray River. The single-lane bridge opened in 1905, and incorporated iron spans from two bridges in Miramichi, New Brunswick built about 30 years earlier. As rail service in the province was converted to standard gauge and heavier service, use of the bridge declined until it was deemed unsafe for all traffic in the 1950s. As the Trans-Canada Highway project was planned in the 1950s, improving the crossing of the Hillsborough River was deemed essential. A new, improved 2-lane road bridge was built immediately upstream of the old rail bridge, opening in 1962. The bridge was widened to carry 4 lanes of traffic in 1995.

Parkdale is a neighbourhood of the city of Charlottetown in central Queens County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Parkdale's location immediately northeast of Charlottetown and southeast of Sherwood saw it grow from being a rural farming community in the Queens Royalty to become a village on November 6, 1958. It was incorporated as a town in 1973 and was amalgamated into Charlottetown on April 1, 1995. Presently a neighbourhood, Parkdale has a mix of housing, commercial and light industrial districts across an area of several dozen hectares, bounded by the former railway line (now the Confederation Trail) to the south and west, Belvedere Avenue/Falconwood Drive to the north, and the Hillsborough River to the east. Parkdale had an active volunteer fire department, which was closed after municipal amalgamation. It is also the location of the Provincial Exhibition and Charlottetown Driving Park.

Charlottetown-Parkdale was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, Canada. It was created prior to the 2007 election from parts of Sherwood-Hillsborough, Parkdale-Belvedere and Charlottetown-Kings Square. The riding consisted of most of the Parkdale neighbourhood and the St. Avard's and Belvedere neighbourhoods of Charlottetown.

Parkdale-Belvedere was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island, Canada. It was created before the 1996 election out of the dual-member 5th Queens riding. It was abolished prior to the 2007 election into Charlottetown-Sherwood and Charlottetown-Parkdale.

The Eastlink Centre (formerly known as the Charlottetown Civic Centre) is a combined hockey/basketball arena and trade and convention facility located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.

Public Schools Branch (PSB), formerly the English Language School Board or ELSB, is a Canadian school district in Prince Edward Island. The Public Schools Branch is an Anglophone district operating 56 public schools (gr. K–12) in Prince County, Queens County and Kings County. It maintains offices in Stratford and Summerside with the current enrollment at approximately 20,000 students and 3500 employees.

Charlottetown Thermal Generating Station is a natural diesel oil power station owned by Maritime Electric, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. The plant is primarily used during periods of peak demand or when the power supply from the mainline is impaired.The plant was the main source of electricity for the island until the first cable to the mainland was finished in 1977. The station is currently being decommissioned, and as a result its two smokestacks will be torn down. Now that two new cables have been finished in 2017, there isn't even a need for the plant as a backup.
