General Theological Seminary

The High Line Hotel is a historic hotel in the West Chelsea neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan, New York City. The building was constructed in 1895 as a dormitory for the General Theological Seminary and is now owned by the Brodsky Organization and MCR Development. The hotel was opened in May 2013.

Chelsea Modern is a 12-story residential condominium building at 447 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan, United States, next to 459 West 18th Street. It was built by Madison Equities in 2009 and designed by Audrey Matlock. It has 47 apartments. It is notable for its horizontally angled façade that conjures the ripples on the nearby Hudson River, and for its windows that open outwards parallel to the façade and let air in, when open, on all four sides of the window. It also has duplex apartments with gallery spaces partially lit by translucent skylights that are part of the building's sidewalk.

The Baayfalls is a 2017 painting by Jordan Casteel. The 1,400-square-foot mural is currently on display along Manhattan's High Line, in the U.S. state of New York, from December 2019 to December 2020. The painting depicts two street vendors (one male and one female); the woman's T-shirt reads, "I am not interested in competing with anyone. I hope we all make it."

459 West 18th Street is a mid-rise condominium located at that address in the West Chelsea neighborhood of the New York City borough of Manhattan. It is an 11-story building with retail space on its ground floor and 10 residential units, one on each floor, for a total of 29,700 square feet (2,760 m2). Della Valle + Bernheimer of Brooklyn was the architect. To ensure that its design was built as intended, the architects developed the property themselves, which also saved time and money on construction, important during the financial crisis of 2007–2008, through Alloy Development, a subsidiary. They chose to have it sheathed in black composite and white glass, delineated by an irregularly shaped boundary on the building's upper stories meant to call attention to complex local zoning requirements. After it was finished in 2008, the building was quickly occupied as buyers, including CNBC anchor Simon Hobbs, were drawn by the nearby presence of the newly opened High Line. The year afterward it earned Architect magazine's Annual Design Review Award for Multi-Family Housing.

The Robert Fulton Houses is a housing project located in the Chelsea neighborhood in the New York City Borough of Manhattan and is owned and operated by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). The 6.27-acre (2.54 ha) site is located between West 16th and 19th Streets and bounded by Ninth and Tenth Avenues. The project consists of 945 apartments in eleven buildings; three of the developments are 25 stories, while the others are 6 stories high.

Bellwether Gallery was a New York City art gallery based in Chelsea. Director and owner Becky Smith was recognized as an important promoter of emerging artists since the gallery's 1999 opening in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn. Quest to Learn (Q2L) is a public middle and high school in New York City, United States. The school is operated by the New York City Department of Education. It is located in the Bayard Rustin Educational Complex in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

Humanities Preparatory Academy (also known as Humanities Prep) is an American public high school, located in the Chelsea district of Manhattan, New York City. The school sends over 99% of its students to four-year universities and private schools. Founded as a program in Bayard Rustin High School, it became a school in 1997. Humanities Prep is part of a consortium of over 30 schools that have been exempted from taking all but the English Regents Examinations. Housed on the third floor of the Bayard Rustin Educational Complex, Humanities Prep offers very few places, and admissions to the school are very competitive. The school has a current enrollment of 209.
