It is recognized mainly for its artistic excellence program: the Centre d'Excellence Artistique de l'Ontario (CEAO).

St. Clement Parish (French: Paroisse St-Clément) is a bilingual Roman Catholic parish community located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and entrusted to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter. After the replacement of the liturgical norms of the 1962 Roman Missal by the post-Vatican II Mass in the 1960s, St. Clement Parish was the first community in the world to be authorized to celebrate the Mass and other sacraments in Latin only, according to the older liturgical norms. Since June 3, 2012, St. Clement Parish operates out of Ste-Anne Church in Lowertown.

Ste-Anne is a Catholic church located at 528 Old St. Patrick Street in the Lowertown neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1873 by architect J.P. LeCourt, it is one of the few examples of traditional Québécois church architecture in Ontario. Ste-Anne is the home of St. Clement Parish, a bilingual parish community served by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, which celebrates the Mass and other sacraments in Latin according to the liturgical norms of the 1962 Roman Missal.

Rideau-Vanier Ward is a ward in the city of Ottawa, designated as Ward 12 and represented on Ottawa City Council. It was originally created in 1994 as a Ward on Regional Council. Prior to Ottawa's amalgamation in 2001, the Ward was partly in the former city of Vanier and partly in Ottawa, in Bruyère-Strathcona Ward, its predecessor. This ward was created in 1994 from parts of By-Rideau Ward and St. George's Ward and was initially named Ward 5 until 1995 when it was given the Bruyère-Strathcona name. By-St. George's Ward covered this area from 1972 to 1980 (excluding Vanier). It was created from the merging of By Ward and St. George's Ward, and abolished when it was split into St. George's Ward and By-Rideau Ward.

MacKay United Church is a United Church of Canada church in the New Edinburgh neighbourhood of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The church is located at the intersection of 39 Dufferin and Mackay at the southwest corner of the Rideau Hall estate. MacKay's present minister is Reverend Peter Woods.

York Street Public School is an elementary school JK-8 in the Lower Town neighbourhood of Ottawa, Canada.

The Champagne Bath, officially the Champagne Fitness Centre, is a historic public bath in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located at 321 King Edward Avenue in Lower Town. Originally, the structure was built for the greater hygiene of the largely working class residents of the neighbourhood, many of whom had no baths in their homes. The structure was also originally home to a library. Work began on the building in 1921 and it was completed in 1924. The building, a blend of the Spanish Colonial Revival and Prairie Styles, was designed by Werner Ernst Noffke. It was named after Ottawa mayor Napoléon Champagne. It was Ottawa's first municipal swimming pool and was one of the first indoor pools in Canada. The pool was also unusual in that it used salt water, which meant it did not need to be chlorinated. It was soon followed by the Plant Bath, which was built on the western side of town. It was segregated by sex until 1967 with separate ground level entrances for women and men. While popular for many years, usage declined as the facility aged. In the 1980s, after the completion of the Le Patro facility, the city proposed closing the Champagne Bath. After public protest it was decided to renovate instead, at the cost of some two million dollars. The transformed facility opened in 1990.

The Ottawa French Seventh-day Adventist Church is a francophone Seventh-day Adventist church in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located on King Edward Avenue, just north of Rideau Street.

The ByTowne Cinema is a one-screen repertory movie theatre located in Ottawa, Ontario, The cinema is one of Ottawa's main venues for independent and foreign films. The 650-seat cinema is located on Rideau Street at Nelson, several blocks east of the Rideau Centre. It was closed on December 24, 2020, with a final week of screenings shown on February 26 to March 7, 2021. The cinema reopened under new ownership on September 8, 2021.

The Constitution Building is an eleven-story office building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Located at 305 Rideau Street at the corner of King Edward, the building was used by the Department of National Defence (DND). As of 2015, the building has been decommissioned and all sections of DND have been relocated. Amenities at the building included a cafeteria, barber shop and convenience store, all of which were accessible to the general public as well as employees of the building. The building was constructed in 1963 by the Bourque brothers and originally named the Bourque Memorial Building, in honour of their father and former Mayor of Ottawa Eddy Bourque.After significant renovations, the Constitution Building is, as of 2020, an all-inclusive student apartment building branded under the name Théo.

Lower Town (also spelled "Lowertown" (French: la Basse-Ville) is a neighbourhood in Rideau-Vanier Ward in central Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, to the east of downtown. It is the oldest part of the city. It is bounded by Rideau Street to the south, the Ottawa River to the west and north and the Rideau River to the east. It includes the commercial Byward Market area in the south-western part, and is predominantly residential in the north and east. It was historically French Canadian and Irish (as opposed to English and Scottish Upper Town, a term no longer in use) and is to this day home to many Franco-Ontarian families, businesses and institutions.
