Jersey Village High School is located in Jersey Village, Texas, United States, in the Houston metropolitan area. The school, which serves grades nine through twelve, is a part of the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. Maggie Wiley serves as its principal, replacing previous Ralph Funk. Jersey Village High School serves the city of Jersey Village, small sections of Houston, and unincorporated sections of Harris County. A portion of the Near Northwest district is served by the school.The school mascot is the Falcon, which is similar to the original Atlanta Falcons logo, and the colors are purple and gold.

Satsuma (also Ashford and Thompson Switch) is an area in northern unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. Satsuma is located along U.S. Highway 290 southeast of the community of Cypress and northwest of the city of Jersey Village. It was named for the groves of Satsuma mandarin oranges that were to be planted on site. Despite the presence of oil, the town never developed beyond the early 1900s.

Ken Pridgeon Stadium is an outdoor American football stadium located in Houston, Texas. The stadium was built in 1977 and, along with Cy-Fair FCU Stadium, serves as the home field for all Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District varsity football games, and soccer games. Cy-Fair ISD Stadium was renamed Ken Pridgeon Pridgeon Stadium in 1994, in honor of Oran Kenneth Pridgeon, who served as Cy-Fair ISD Athletic Director from 1967 to 1998. In May 2014, as part of a US$1.2 billion bond referendum, the stadium received $40 million for upgrades and renovations that are scheduled to be completed in two parts. Early renovations included parking lot improvements of LED lighting, new concrete in parking and driveways in the complex, as well as underground drainage. Later renovations, completed between December 2016 and January 2017, include a new natatorium expected to seat 950 people, a new two-story press box, new ticket booths, restrooms, concessions stand, and an elevator that goes up to the press box. Fairbanks is a community along U.S. Highway 290 and the Southern Pacific Railroad in Western Houston, Texas, United States. At one point it was a distinct unincorporated area within Harris County.

On January 24, 2020, a building at Watson Grinding and Manufacturing in northwest Houston, Texas, United States, exploded at 4:24 a.m. Debris was scattered as far as one-half mile (0.8 km), and approximately 200 nearby houses and businesses were damaged. Officials asked local residents to search for debris and body parts to assist with an investigation into the explosion's cause. An absence of zoning ordinances separating industrial areas from residences is known to prevail in the vicinity of the explosion.Two deaths were reported on the morning of the incident. Both men were employees of Watson Grinding and Manufacturing. A third man, whose home was impacted by debris from the explosion, died from his injuries on February 5. Eighteen people "self reported" to emergency rooms for minor injuries. Forty-eight people sought shelter from Red Cross, and two schools in the vicinity were closed for the day. Some homes near the facility were blasted off their foundations, and some had collapsed ceilings, shattered windows, and bent garage doors.Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives personnel assisted the Houston Fire and Police Departments with the investigation. Multiple lawsuits have already been filed.Watson Grinding and Manufacturing filed for bankruptcy in February 2020.

As of October 2021, it has 688 students. 255 are in elementary school (K-5), 182 are in middle school (6–8), and 251 are in high school (9–12). In 2021, the school won the prestigious TAPPS 4A Henderson Cup, naming Cypress Christian School the top 4A private school in Texas.
